On Monday, we learned that Tesla had suspended customer deliveries of its stainless steel-clad electric pickup truck. Now, the automaker has issued a recall for all the Cybertrucks in customer hands—nearly 4,000 of them—in order to fix a problem with the accelerator pedal. It has come at an inconvenient time for Tesla, which is laying off more than 10 percent of its workforce due to shrinking sales even as CEO Elon Musk asks for an extra $55.8 billion in compensation.
The problem, which affects all 3,878 Cybertrucks delivered so far, has to do with the EV's accelerator pedal. Tesla has fitted this with a metal-finish cover to match the brushed metal appearance of the truck itself—no word on whether the pedals rust, too—but it says that at some point, "an unapproved change introduced lubricant (soap) to aid in the component assembly of the pad onto the accelerator pedal. Residual lubricant reduced the retention of the pad to the pedal."
Thanks to the profile of the Cybertruck's under dash, if the pedal cover becomes partially detached it can slide up and become trapped in place, wedging the pedal down and unleashing all of the Cybertruck's substantial power—the dual-motor truck boasts 600 hp (447 kW) and can reach 60 mph (98 km/h) in just over four seconds.

Welcome to Edition 6.40 of the Rocket Report! There was a lot of exciting news this week. For the first time, SpaceX launched a reusable Falcon 9 booster for a 20th flight. A few miles away at Cape Canaveral, Boeing and United Launch Alliance completed one of the final steps before the first crew launch of the Starliner spacecraft. But I think one of the most interesting things that happened was NASA's decision to ask the space industry for more innovative ideas on how to do Mars Sample Return. I have no doubt that space companies will come up with some fascinating concepts, and I can't wait to hear about them.

Going vertical Down Under. Gilmour Space has raised its privately developed Eris rocket vertical on a launch pad in North Queensland for the first time, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation reports. This milestone marks the start of the next phase of launch preparations for Eris, a three-stage rocket powered by hybrid engines. If successful, Eris would become the first Australian-built rocket to reach orbit. Gilmour says the maiden flight of Eris is scheduled for no earlier than May 4, pending launch permit approvals. This presumably refers to a commercial launch license from the Australian government.

Long-time Fallout fans are used to long waits between titles, and, depending on their preferences, inconsistent results. But when Amazon's Fallout series showed up on Prime and absolutely nailed it, it spurred a lot of players to crack open their libraries and commence some post-apocalyptic replaying. And maybe first-time playing, too.
Fallout 76, the online multiplayer title that is the most recent full release, saw perhaps the biggest delta. The game hit its all-time peak of 43,887 simultaneous players on Wednesday, April 17, according to SteamCharts, roughly one week after the Amazon series' debut. For the year leading up to that peak, Fallout 76 had hovered around 7,000-10,000 players through most of 2024, and then jumped after the series' debut. Of course, that number only counts PC players, and only those on Steam; the game, which launched simultaneously on consoles, and is available on Microsoft's Game Pass, likely has many more players.
SteamDB, another Steam stats tracker, suggested on X (formerly Twitter) that the Fallout game series as a whole had more than doubled its concurrent player count by April 14.

Ground teams on Florida's Space Coast hoisted Boeing's Starliner spacecraft atop its United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket this week, putting all the pieces in place for liftoff next month with two veteran NASA astronauts on a test flight to the International Space Station.
This will be the first time astronauts fly on Boeing's Starliner crew capsule, following two test flights without crew members in 2019 and 2022. The Starliner Crew Flight Test (CFT) next month will wrap up a decade and a half of development and, if all goes well, will pave the way for operational Starliner missions to ferry crews to and from the space station.
Starliner is running years behind schedule and over budget. SpaceX's Crew Dragon spacecraft has flown all of NASA's crew rotation missions to the station since its first astronaut flight in 2020. But NASA wants to get Boeing's spacecraft up and running to have a backup to SpaceX. It would then alternate between Starliner and Crew Dragon for six-month expeditions to the station beginning next year.

When OpenAI's DALL-E 2 debuted on April 6, 2022, the idea that a computer could create relatively photorealistic images on demand based on just text descriptions caught a lot of people off guard. The launch began an innovative and tumultuous period in AI history, marked by a sense of wonder and a polarizing ethical debate that reverberates in the AI space to this day.
Last week, OpenAI turned off the ability for new customers to purchase generation credits for the web version of DALL-E 2, effectively killing it. From a technological point of view, it's not too surprising that OpenAI recently began winding down support for the service. The 2-year-old image generation model was groundbreaking for its time, but it has since been surpassed by DALL-E 3's higher level of detail, and OpenAI has recently begun rolling out DALL-E 3 editing capabilities.
But for a tight-knit group of artists and tech enthusiasts who were there at the start of DALL-E 2, the service's sunset marks the bittersweet end of a period where AI technology briefly felt like a magical portal to boundless creativity. "The arrival of DALL-E 2 was truly mind-blowing," illustrator Douglas Bonneville told Ars in an interview. "There was an exhilarating sense of unlimited freedom in those first days that we all suspected AI was going to unleash. It felt like a liberation from something into something else, but it was never clear exactly what."

Drug shortages in the US have reached an all-time high, with 323 active and ongoing shortages already tallied this year, according to data collected by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP).
The current drug shortage total surpasses the previous record of 320, set in 2014, and is the highest recorded since ASHP began tracking shortages in 2001.
"All drug classes are vulnerable to shortages," ASHP CEO Paul Abramowitz said in a statement Thursday. "Some of the most worrying shortages involve generic sterile injectable medications, including cancer chemotherapy drugs and emergency medications stored in hospital crash carts and procedural areas. Ongoing national shortages of therapies for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder [ADHD] also remain a serious challenge for clinicians and patients."

Amazon has had a rocky history with big, geeky properties making their way onto Prime Video. The Wheel of Time wasn’t for everyone, and I have almost nothing good to say about The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.
Fallout, the first season of which premiered this week, seems to break that bad streak. All the episodes are online now, but I’ve watched three episodes so far. I love it.
I’ve spent hundreds of hours playing the games that inspired it, so I can only speak to that experience; I don’t know how well it will work for people who never played the games. But as a video game adaptation, it’s up there with The Last of Us.

With an aeronautical engineering degree and experience as an Air Force test pilot, Dwight met the qualifications to become an astronaut. He was one of 26 test pilots the Air Force recommended to NASA for the third class of astronauts in 1963, but he wasn't selected. Now, the man who would have become the first Black astronaut will finally get a chance to fly to space.

Ed Dwight named to Blue Origin's next human flight. Blue Origin, Jeff Bezos' space company, announced Thursday that 90-year-old Ed Dwight, who almost became the first Black astronaut in 1963, will be one of six people to fly to suborbital space on the company's next New Shepard flight. Dwight, a retired Air Force captain, piloted military fighter jets and graduated test pilot school, following a familiar career track as many of the early astronauts. He was on a short list of astronaut candidates the Air Force provided NASA, but the space agency didn't include him. It took 20 more years for the first Black American to fly to space. Dwight's ticket with Blue Origin is sponsored by Space for Humanity, a nonprofit that seeks to expand access to space for all people. Five paying passengers will join Dwight for the roughly 10-minute up-and-down flight to the edge of space over West Texas. Kudos to Space for Humanity and Blue Origin for making this happen.

C’est du classique pour les utilisateurs de Raspberry Pi. Rien de plus simple !
La dernière version, la 8.3.9, est dispo pour les modèles 3B, 3B+, 3A+, 4, 400, les Compute Module 3, 3+ et 4, et même le petit dernier le Zero 2 W et elle tourne sur une debian Bullseye 64 bits. Autant dire que ça va envoyer du lourd côté performances audio.
D’ailleurs, parlons-en de l’audio. moOde gère une flopée de périphériques compatibles avec les Raspberry Pi. Que vous ayez une enceinte Bluetooth ou quelque chose de plus « filaire » comme un DAC USB (Digital Audio Converter), une carte d’extension Hat ou carrément un streamer réseau, y a de fortes chances que ça fonctionne direct. Et niveau réglages, les audiophiles vont être aux anges puisqu’il y a de quoi faire du réglage fin sur votre son comme jamais !
Le top du top, c’est l’interface web. Super bien foutue, responsive, elle s’adapte parfaitement à votre appareil, que ce soit un pc, une tablette, un smartphone ou même une TV. Pas besoin d’installer quoi que ce soit, un simple navigateur suffit. Vous pourrez lancer la lecture d’un album, écouter la radio, taguer vos morceaux, accéder à des partages de fichiers via SMB et NFS, balancer le son en AirPlay ou avec Spotify Connect, faire du multiroom synchronisé et profiter de fonctionnalités audiophiles comme le support des formats hi-res, un égaliseur paramétrique, et divers algorithmes de rééchantillonnage. Pour les devs, y a même une API REST pour faire mumuse.
Et si vous avez besoin d’aide ou que vous voulez causer son entre passionnés, le forum moOde est là pour vous. Les devs sont ultra réactifs et la communauté est au taquet. Vous pouvez même choper les dernières news sur le développement du player.
Côté technique, si vous voulez mettre les mains dans le cambouis, un guide du développeur est dispo. Vous pourrez gérer les paquets et générer vos propres images.
Ah et j’allais oublier, les gars de moOde vous ont même concocté un petit DAC NOS (Non-Oversampling) à monter vous-même : le ProtoDAC. Il paraît que le son est d’enfer, surtout si vous utilisez des composants de qualité. Les plans et le guide sont dispos, vous avez juste à commander vos PCB et sortir votre fer à souder.

The Washington State Lottery has taken down a promotional AI-powered web app after a local mother reported that the site generated an image with her face on the body of a topless woman.
The lottery's "Test Drive a Win" website was designed to help visitors visualize various dream vacations they could pay for with their theoretical lottery winnings. The site included the ability to upload a headshot that would be integrated into an AI-generated tableau of what you might look like on that vacation.
But Megan (last name not given), a 50-year-old from Olympia suburb Tumwater, told conservative Seattle radio host Jason Rantz that the image of her "swim with the sharks" dream vacation on the website showed her face atop a woman sitting on a bed with her breasts exposed. The background of the AI-generated image seems to show the bed in some sort of aquarium, complete with fish floating through the air and sprawling undersea flora sitting awkwardly behind the pillows.

Ça peut servir d’unité SFU (selective forwarding unit) pour router intelligemment les flux, ou même de système de diffusion pour broadcaster du contenu. Bref, les possibilités sont énormes !
Le gros avantage, c’est que ça tourne sur le réseau mondial de Cloudflare, présent dans des centaines de villes. Donc niveau latence et qualité, vous êtes aux petits oignons et pas besoin de vous soucier de la scalabilité ou des régions, puisque c’est géré.
Pour commencer à bidouiller avec Cloudflare Calls, rien de plus simple. Vous créez une app dans le dashboard, vous récupérez les identifiants, et hop, vous pouvez commencer à coder votre propre app WebRTC. Il y a même un exemple complet sur GitHub, l’app de démo « Orange Meets – room Korben ^^ ». (Non, ça n’a rien à voir avec l’opérateur du même nom, même si c’est de la téléphonie…)
Après, faut quand même mettre les mains dans le cambouis hein. Mais si vous êtes à l’aise avec WebRTC, vous allez vous éclater. Sinon, c’est l’occasion d’apprendre ! Et puis la doc est plutôt bien foutue, avec des tutos pas à pas. Ça ouvre un paquet de possibilités pour créer des apps temps réel fun ou utiles comme un outil de collaboration en ligne, avec un tableau blanc partagé et de la visio. Ou même un petit jeu multijoueur. Avec Cloudflare Calls, vous pouvez prototyper ça rapidement sans vous soucier de l’infrastructure.
Après, attention quand même, c’est encore en beta. Donc à utiliser en prod avec précaution. Mais pour tester et apprendre, c’est parfait. Et puis connaissant Cloudflare, le produit final sera sûrement béton.
Bref, je vous invite à aller jeter un œil à Cloudflare Calls, à tester la démo « Orange Meets », et pourquoi pas, à vous lancer dans le développement de votre propre app WebRTC serverless.

Was someone messing with the Jacksonville Jaguars' giant jumbotron?
On September 16, 2018, the Jaguars were playing the New England Patriots when the in-stadium screen experienced, in the US government's words, "a loss in reference sync which manifested as a large horizontal green lines [sic] appearing across one whole video board."
On November 18, during a game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, it happened again—but this time, entire video sub-boards filled with green.

Depending on who you ask about AI (and how you define it), the technology may or may not be useful, but one thing is for certain: AI hype is dominating corporate marketing these days—even in fast food. According to a report in The Wall Street Journal, corporate fast food giant Yum Brands is embracing an "AI-first mentality" across its restaurant chains, including Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, KFC, and Habit Burger Grill. The company's chief digital and technology officer, Joe Park, told the WSJ that AI will shape nearly every aspect of how these restaurants operate.
"Our vision of [quick-service restaurants] is that an AI-first mentality works every step of the way," Park said in an interview with the outlet. "If you think about the major journeys within a restaurant that can be AI-powered, we believe it’s endless."
As we've discussed in the past, artificial intelligence is a nebulous term. It can mean many different things depending on the context, including computer-controlled ghosts in Pac-Man, algorithms that play checkers, or large language models that give terrible advice on major city websites. But most of all in this tech climate, it means money, because even talking about AI tends to make corporate share prices go up.

On Tuesday, the Artist Rights Alliance (ARA) announced an open letter critical of AI signed by over 200 musical artists, including Pearl Jam, Nicki Minaj, Billie Eilish, Stevie Wonder, Elvis Costello, and the estate of Frank Sinatra. In the letter, the artists call on AI developers, technology companies, platforms, and digital music services to stop using AI to "infringe upon and devalue the rights of human artists." A tweet from the ARA added that AI poses an "existential threat" to their art.
Visual artists began protesting the advent of generative AI after the rise of the first mainstream AI image generators in 2022, and considering that generative AI research has since been undertaken for other forms of creative media, we have seen that protest extend to professionals in other creative domains, such as writers, actors, filmmakers—and now musicians.
"When used irresponsibly, AI poses enormous threats to our ability to protect our privacy, our identities, our music and our livelihoods," the open letter states. It alleges that some of the "biggest and most powerful" companies (unnamed in the letter) are using the work of artists without permission to train AI models, with the aim of replacing human artists with AI-created content.
Here at the Raspberry Pi Foundation, we believe that it’s important that our academic research has a practical application. An important area of research we are engaged in is broadening participation in computing education by investigating how the subject can be made more culturally relevant — we have published several studies in this area.
However, we know that busy teachers do not have time to keep abreast of all the latest research. This is where our Pedagogy Quick Reads come in. They show teachers how an area of current research either has been or could be applied in practice.
Our new Pedagogy Quick Reads summarises the central tenets of culturally relevant pedagogy (the theory) and then lays out 10 areas of opportunity as concrete ways for you to put the theory into practice.
Computing remains an area where many groups of people are underrepresented, including those marginalised because of their gender, ethnicity, socio-economic background, additional educational needs, or age. For example, recent stats in the BCS’ Annual Diversity Report 2023 record that in the UK, the proportion of women working in tech was 20% in 2021, and Black women made up only 0.7% of tech specialists. Beyond gender and ethnicity, pupils who have fewer social and economic opportunities ‘don’t see Computing as a subject for somebody like them’, a recent report from Teach First found.
The fact that in the UK, 94% of girls and 79% of boys drop Computing at age 14 should be of particular concern for Computing educators. This last statistic makes it painfully clear that there is much work to be done to broaden the appeal of Computing in schools. One approach to make the subject more inclusive and attractive to young people is to make it more culturally relevant.
As part of our research to help teachers effectively adapt their curriculum materials to make them culturally relevant and engaging for their learners, we’ve identified 10 areas of opportunity — areas where teachers can choose to take actions to bring the latest research on culturally relevant pedagogy into their classrooms, right here, right now.
The Pedagogy Quick Read gives teachers ideas for how they can use the areas of opportunity (AOs) to begin to review their own curriculum, teaching materials, and practices. We recommend picking one area initially, and focusing on that perhaps for a term. This helps you avoid being overwhelmed, and is particularly useful if you are trying to reach a particular group, for example, Year 9 girls, or low-attaining boys, or learners who lack confidence or motivation.
For example, one simple intervention is AO1 ‘Finding out more about our learners’. It’s all too easy for teachers to assume that they know what their students’ interests are. And getting to know your students can be especially tricky at secondary level, when teachers might only see a class once a fortnight or in a carousel.
However, finding out about your learners can be easily achieved in an online survey homework task, set at the beginning of a new academic year or term or unit of work. Using their interests, along with considerations of their backgrounds, families, and identities as inputs in curriculum planning can have tangible benefits: students may begin to feel an increased sense of belonging when they see their interests or identities reflected in the material later used.
The Quick Read presents two practical case studies of how we’ve used the 10 AO to adapt and assess different lesson materials to increase their relevance for learners.
As we’ve shared before, we implemented culturally relevant pedagogy as part of UK primary school teachers’ professional development in a recent research project. The Quick Read provides details of how we supported teachers to use the AOs to adapt teaching material to make it more culturally relevant to learners in their own contexts. Links to the resources used to review 2 units of work, lesson by lesson, to adapt tasks, learning material, and outcomes are included in the Quick Read.
In a different project, we used the AOs to reflect on our adaptation of classroom materials from The Computing Curriculum, which we had designed for schools in England originally. Partnering with Amala Education, we adapted Computing Curriculum materials to create a 100-hour course for young adults at Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya who wanted to develop vocational digital literacy skills.
The diagram below shows our ratings of the importance of applying each AO while adapting materials for this particular context. In this case, the most important areas for making adaptations were to make the context more culturally relevant, and to improve the materials’ accessibility in terms of readability and output formats (text, animation, video, etc.).
You can use this method of reflection as a way to evaluate your progress in addressing different AOs in a unit of work, across the materials for a whole year group, or even for your school’s whole approach. This may be useful for highlighting those areas which have, perhaps, been overlooked.
The ‘Areas of opportunity’ Pedagogy Quick Read aims to help teachers apply research to their practice by summarising current research and giving practical examples of evidence-based teaching interventions and resources they can use.
The set of AOs was developed as part of a wider research project, and each one is itself research-informed. The Quick Read includes references to that research for everyone who wants to know more about culturally relevant pedagogy. This supporting evidence will be useful to teachers who want to address the topic of culturally relevant pedagogy with senior or subject leaders in their school, who often need to know that new initiatives are evidence-based.
Our goal for the Quick Read is to raise awareness of tried and tested pedagogies that increase accessibility and broaden the appeal of Computing education, so that all of our students can develop a sense of belonging and enjoyment of Computing.

Des petits malins ont eu l’idée de distribuer des logiciels de triche pour Call of Duty et d’autres jeux sur Battle.net. Sauf que… surprise ! En réalité, ces soi-disant « cheats » étaient bourrés de malwares qui aspirent les Bitcoins des joueurs ! Un coup de maître digne d’un scénario de Mr Robot.
D’après les experts en cybersécurité de VX Underground, cette attaque d’hameçonnage ciblée aurait potentiellement compromis près de 5 millions de comptes, rien que ça ! Une fois installé sur l’ordi de la victime, le malware s’attaque direct au portefeuille Bitcoin Electrum pour siphonner les précieuses crypto. On parle de presque 3,7 millions de comptes Battle.net, plus de 560 000 comptes Activision et environ 117 000 comptes ElitePVPers. Autant dire que les cybercriminels se sont fait plaisir.
Bon, Activision affirme que ses serveurs n’ont pas été directement compromis. Mais quand même, ça la fout mal. La boîte conseille à tous les joueurs qui auraient pu cliquer sur un lien louche de changer rapidement leur mot de passe et d’activer l’authentification à deux facteurs ce qui est un minimum.
Bref, méfiez-vous comme de la peste des logiciels de triche. Comme dirait l’autre, si c’est trop beau pour être vrai, c’est que ça cache sûrement une entourloupe !

Tonight, Apple will debut some new Immersive Video content for the Vision Pro headset—the first sports content for the device. It doesn't seem like much after two months of no new content, though.
Starting at 6 pm PT/9 pm ET, Vision Pro users will be able to watch a sports film captured for the platform's Immersive Video format. The video will be a series of highlights from last year's Major League Soccer (MLS) playoffs, and according to Six Colors, it will run just five minutes. It will be free for all Vision Pro users.
On February 2, Apple released what appeared to be the first episodes of three Immersive Video series: Adventure, Prehistoric Planet, and Wildlife. Each debuted alongside the Vision Pro's launch with one episode labeled "Episode 1" of "Season 1."
Saviez-vous qu’une faille de sécurité plus vicieuse qu’un boss de fin de niveau est tapie dans les entrailles de notre cher Linux depuis plus d’une décennie ? Et attention, on ne parle pas d’un vulgaire bug qui fait planter votre distrib’ préférée, non non. Cette saleté, baptisée « WallEscape » par Skyler Ferrante, un chercheur en sécurité un peu barré (on y reviendra), permet ni plus ni moins à un petit malin de vous subtiliser votre précieux mot de passe Admin !
Tout commence avec une commande anodine appelée « wall« , présente dans le package util-linux. Son petit boulot à elle, c’est d’envoyer des messages à tous les utilisateurs connectés sur une même machine. Jusque-là, rien de bien méchant, vous me direz.
Sauf que voilà, un beau jour, ou plutôt un sale jour de 2013, un commit un peu foireux est venu s’immiscer dans le code de wall tel un cheveu sur la soupe. Depuis, cette brebis galeuse s’est gentiment propagée dans toutes les versions de util-linux, tel un virus informatique qui s’ignore.
Mais qu’est-ce qu’il y avait de si terrible dans ce ce commit ? Eh bien, pour faire simple, le dev qui l’a poussé, a tout bonnement oublié de filtrer correctement les fameuses « escape sequences » dans les arguments de la ligne de commande. Résultat des courses : un petit malin un peu bricoleur peut maintenant s’amuser à injecter tout un tas de caractères de contrôle pour faire des trucs pas très catholiques sur votre terminal.
Et c’est là que notre ami chercheur en sécurité dont je vous parlais au début de l’article, entre en scène. Armé de sa curiosité légendaire et de son sens de l’humour douteux, il a flairé le potentiel de la faille et s’est amusé à monter un scénario d’attaque digne d’un film de ma saga préférée : « Die Hard ». L’idée, diaboliquement géniale, est d’utiliser ces fameuses « escape sequences » non filtrées pour créer de fausses invites sudo sur le terminal de la victime. Ainsi, tel un loup déguisé en agneau, l’attaquant peut vous inciter à gentiment taper votre mot de passe administrateur, pensant avoir affaire à une véritable demande d’authentification système.
Bon, je vous rassure tout de suite, il y a quand même quelques conditions à remplir pour que l’attaque fonctionne. Déjà, il faut que l’option « mesg » soit activée sur votre machine et que la commande wall ait les permissions setgid.
Bien sûr, en tant que vrai geek qui se respecte, vous avez probablement déjà mis à jour votre système avec la dernière version de util-linux qui colmate la brèche. Sinon, vous pouvez toujours vérifier que les permissions setgid ne sont pas activées sur wall ou carrément désactiver cette fonctionnalité de messages avec « mesg« .
En attendant, je ne peux que vous encourager à jeter un coup d’œil au PoC de notre ami chercheur, histoire de voir à quoi peut ressembler une fausse invite sudo des familles. C’est toujours ça de pris pour briller en société.
Allez, amusez-vous bien et n’oubliez pas : sudo rm -rf /*, c’est le mal !

Health officials have long warned that gonorrhea is becoming more and more resistant to all the antibiotic drugs we have to fight it. Last year, the US reached a grim landmark: For the first time, two unrelated people in Massachusetts were found to have gonorrhea infections with complete or reduced susceptibility to every drug in our arsenal, including the frontline drug ceftriaxone. Luckily, they were still able to be cured with high-dose injections of ceftriaxone. But, as the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention bluntly notes: "Little now stands between us and untreatable gonorrhea."
If public health alarm bells could somehow hit a higher pitch, a study published Thursday from researchers in China would certainly accomplish it. The study surveyed gonorrhea bacterial isolates—Neisseria gonorrhoeae—from around the country and found that the prevalence of ceftriaxone-resistant isolates nearly tripled between 2017 and 2021. Ceftriaxone-resistant strains made up roughly 8 percent of the nearly 3,000 bacterial isolates collected from gonorrhea infections in 2022. That's up from just under 3 percent in 2017. The study appears in the CDC's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report.
While those single-digit percentages may seem low, compared to other countries they're extremely high. In the US, for instance, the prevalence of ceftriaxone-resistant strains never went above 0.2 percent between 2017 and 2021, according to the CDC. In Canada, ceftriaxone-resistance was stable at 0.6 percent between 2017 and 2021. The United Kingdom had a prevalence of 0.21 percent in 2022.
Non, Toolong n’est pas ce qu’a dit votre correspondante américaine la première fois qu’elle vous a vu en maillot de bain. C’est plutôt (le chien) un outil vachement pratique qui s’utilise ne ligne de commande et qui permet d’afficher, suivre en temps réel, fusionner les fichiers de log et d’y rechercher tout ce que vous voulez.
L’outil est capable d’appliquer une petite coloration syntaxique sur les formats de journalisation classique comme ceux d’un serveur web par exemple. Il est également capable d’ouvrir très rapidement de gros fichiers même s’ils font plusieurs gigas.
Si vous travaillez avec des fichiers JSONL, Toolong les affichera également au format pretty print. Il prend également en charge l’ouverture des fichiers .bz et .bz2.
De quoi arriver à vos fins beaucoup plus facilement qu’en jouant avec tail, less, ou encore grep.
Toolong est compatible avec Linux, macOS et Windows et pour l’installer Toolong, la meilleure solution actuelle consiste à utiliser pipx :
pipx install toolong
Vous pouvez également l’installer avec Pip :
pip install toolong
Note : Si vous utilisez Pip, il est recommandé de créer un environnement virtuel pour éviter les conflits de dépendances potentiels.
Une fois Toolong installé, la commande tl sera ajoutée à votre PATH. Pour ouvrir un fichier avec Toolong, ajoutez les noms de fichiers en arguments de la commande :
tl fichierdelog.log
Si vous ajoutez plusieurs noms de fichiers, ils s’ouvriront dans des onglets. Ajoutez l’option --merge pour ouvrir plusieurs fichiers et les combiner en une seule vue :
tl access.log* --merge
Voilà, l’essayer, c’est l’adopter. Si vous manipulez de gros logs, Toolong pourra vous faire gagner un max de temps !

The Delta IV Heavy was America's most powerful launch vehicle for nearly a decade and has been a cornerstone for the US military's space program for more than 20 years. It is also the world's most expensive commercially produced rocket, a fact driven not just by its outsize capability but also its complexity.
Now, United Launch Alliance's last Delta IV Heavy rocket is set to lift off Thursday from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida, with a classified payload for the National Reconnaissance Office, the US government's spy satellite agency.
