“Whatever was the real story behind the 28 pointer … the messy, even infantile “plan” posing as Hegemon in Control and mocking the BRICS/SCO is completely unworkable.”
By Pepe Escobar at the Strategic Culture Foundation.
The Circus Ringmaster’s 28-point “peace plan” for Ukraine may be seen as a pet seal splashing around in a pond to amuse the galleries. And up next, we move to another attraction.
Yet if taken seriously – and that requires not a pinch but a barrel of salt – it’s like a twin to the Circus Ringmaster’s “plan” for Gaza, this time with the objective of snatching a pitiful “victory” from the jaws of the Empire of Chaos’s own, de facto strategic defeat.
Let’s check the reactions. Here you will find Larry Johnson’s analysis – which I share – , but most of all the video of the stunning two-hour interview we had mid-week in Moscow with stellar Maria Zakharova, the most articulated Foreign Ministry spokeswoman on the planet.
What Mrs. Zakharova essentially told us is that by mid-week there was no Russian reaction because Moscow had not received anything concrete: “When we have some official information, when we receive it via a relevant channel, naturally, we will always be open to work.”
The same applied to the Kremlin. Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov: “No, we haven’t received anything officially. We see some innovations. But officially, we haven’t received anything. And there hasn’t been any substantive discussion of these items.”

The first actual, terse response that came from President Putin was stunningly graphic: in camouflage, visiting a command center, and stressing that the set up in Kiev can no longer be described as a “political leadership” because it’s just “a criminal organization”.
After a few frantic days buried in a tsunami of spin concocted by NATOstan mainstream media, supporting but essentially against the 28-pointer, someone in Washington – and not necessarily Russian middleman Kirill Dmitriev – may have delivered it, officially, to the Kremlin.
So this past Friday we had, finally, President Putin’s own response, during a session of the permanent members of Russia’s Security Council.
The key Putin points must be stressed:
Alaska: “The main point of the Alaska summit, its main purpose, was that during the talks in Anchorage we confirmed that, despite some difficult issues and complexities, we nevertheless agreed with these proposals and were prepared to demonstrate the requested flexibility.”
Global South reaction: “We provided detailed information to all our friends and partners in the Global South on these matters – including China, India, the DPRK, South Africa, Brazil, many other countries, and, of course, the CSTO states. All our friends and partners, and I want to emphasise this – without exception – supported these potential arrangements.”
U.S. non-response: “However, after the negotiations in Alaska, we have seen a certain pause on the part of the U.S., and we know this is due to Ukraine’s de facto refusal to accept the peace plan proposed by President Trump. I believe this is precisely why a new version has emerged – essentially an updated plan consisting of 28 points.” Note that “updated” is the key operative word here – as in an extension of Alaska.
What the 28-pointer really means: “We have the text. We received it through our existing channels of communication with the U.S. Administration. I believe it too could form the basis of a final peace settlement, but this text is not being discussed with us in substance. And I can suggest why.
The reason, I believe, remains the same: the U.S. Administration still cannot secure Ukraine’s consent – Ukraine rejects it.
Evidently, Ukraine and its European allies remain under illusions and still dream of inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia on the battlefield. I think this position is rooted not so much in a lack of competence – I will leave this topic aside for now – but rather in the absence of objective information about the real situation on the ground.”
Expanding on the EU and Ukraine: “All things considered, neither Ukraine nor Europe grasp the consequences of this path. Just one very recent example – Kupyansk. Not long ago, on 4 November – just two weeks ago – officials in Kiev publicly stated that no more than 60 Russian servicemen were present in the city, and that within the next few days, as they claimed, Ukrainian forces would fully unblock it.
But I would like to inform you that already at that moment, on 4 November, the city of Kupyansk was practically entirely secured by the Russian Armed Forces. Our guys were, as they say, simply finishing the job – clearing the remaining streets and neighbourhoods. The fate of the city had already been fully determined.
What does this tell us? Either the Kiev leaders do not have objective information about the situation at the front, or, having it, they are simply unable to assess it objectively.”
The SMO will go on: “If Kiev does not want to discuss President Trump’s proposals and rejects them, then they – and their European war-instigators – must understand that the situation in Kupyansk will inevitably be repeated on other key sectors of the front. Perhaps not as quickly as we would like, but the outcome will be inevitably repeated.”
The inevitable conclusion: “On the whole, this is acceptable to us, as it leads to achieving the objectives of the special military operation by military means. But, as I have said many times before, we are also ready for peace negotiations and for resolving problems by peaceful means. However, this requires a substantive discussion of all details of the proposed plan. We are ready for that.”
Deconstructing an incoherent mish-mash
So here we have finally come back to the essentials – what everyone with an IQ over room temperature following the imperial proxy war against Russia in Ukraine already knows: Russia is ready for peace, but in Putin’s own words, “is also satisfied with the current dynamics of the SMO”. Because this is leading – slowly but surely, “to the achievement of its goals” in the battlefield.
Whatever was the real story behind the 28 pointer – assuming it was Dmtriev and Witkoff holed up in Miami for three days; and then lowly neo-con Marco Rubio and zero-expert on anything Zionist asset Jared Kushner (!) chiming in – the messy, even infantile “plan” posing as Hegemon in Control and mocking the BRICS/SCO is completely unworkable.
What if it was designed to be exactly that?
The new frantic spin is that the sweaty sweatshirt in Kiev has been given an ultimatum by Trump 2.0: under a new “aggressive timeline”, he has to get on board. Or else.
Kiev’s backers – the proverbial assortment of chihuahuas comprising the EU, the European Commission (EC) and “leaders” in selected capitals – have rejected the 28-pointer, and so did Kiev, right from the start.
The 28-pointer indeed manages the feat of assembling an incoherent mish-mash that is unworkable not only for Russia but also for the EU/NATO combo. A few examples:
Point 4: “A U.S.-mediated Russia–NATO dialogue will be launched to resolve security issues and promote cooperation”. NATO is a brainchild of the Empire of Chaos. It will never “cooperate” with “existential threat” Russia.
Point 9: “European fighter jets will be stationed in Poland.” That means NATO still ready to attack Russian territory.
Point 10: “The U.S. security guarantee [to Ukraine] comes with conditions: – The U.S. receives compensation.” That’s pure “offer you can’t refuse” Mafia territory.
Point 13: “Russia will be reintegrated into the global economy:
That’s what this is all about, per the Circus Ringmaster himself: grabbing Russian natural resources. Moreover Russia does not need the G8: Moscow’s focus is on BRICS/SCO.
Point 14: “Frozen Russian assets will be allocated as follows:
That’s peak Theater of the Absurd: not only the Americans want to use Russian funds to rebuild Ukraine – which they were instrumental in destroying – but their “10 per cent for the Big Guy” turns out to be a hefty 50%.
Point 17: “The U.S. and Russia will extend nuclear arms-control treaties, including New START.” A non-starter: Moscow has been stressing non-stop that arms-control treaties will not be negotiated in relation to the SMO.
Point 21: “Territorial arrangements:
Total non-starter – and not only for the EU/NATO-Kiev combo. Kherson and Zaporozhye, constitutionally, are now fully Russian – and will be liberated on the battlefield.
Point 26: “Full amnesty for all parties for all actions taken during the war: no prosecutions, no war-crimes claims.” Total non-starter: Kiev forced the draft document to use “amnesty” instead of “audit”. Moscow will settle for nothing less that full prosecution of members of the “criminal organization”. Yes, there will be a war crimes tribunal.
Point 27: “The agreement will be legally binding and enforced by a Peace Council chaired by Donald J. Trump.” That’s a Gaza replay. As if Putin and the Russian Security Council would accept a “Peace Council” chaired by a Circus Ringmaster whose expiry date is fast approaching, not to mention be subordinated to the losers in a vicious proxy war.

About a really intriguing takeaway
One plausible takeaway of the 28-pointer is that the selected oligarchy running the Empire of Chaos continues to run a protection racket – and the only way to salvage the de facto strategic defeat in country 404 is to turn a quick buck.
Another more intriguing, plausible takeaway is that the 28-pointer was never meant to be accepted by the EU-Kiev combo. It’s all about the Circus Ringmaster’s exit strategy from the debacle in Novorossiya.
Trump is already preparing the terrain – as in I tried everything, but Zelensky won’t comply. So it’s now his – and his gang’s – problem only, side by side with the EU chihuahuas. Up next: an immediate change of narrative. What else: the Empire of Chaos cannot manage reality, only narratives.
Trump 2.0 may start to work on improving U.S.-Russia relations – while blame for the collapse of the “peace process” is laid on the EU-Kiev combo. The optics of the 28-pointer P.R. op are everything: packaged as it is asking Moscow to strike a compromise, even as Russia is winning in the battlefield, while making sure the “criminal organization” in Kiev cannot agree to the main provisions.
Provisional endgame: the chihuahuas of war will keep barking while the SMO will keep rollin’ along.

Nguyễn Quyết Chiến — Nov 05, 2025.
An extraordinary story imperfectly told is better than one simply ignored. I will now tell you about a Vietnamese-American in Oklahoma. If alive, he’d be at least 75. His given name, Quyết Chiến, means Determined to Fight.
In 1972, Chiến was tasked with diverting ARVN troops away from the main thrust of an NVA assault. Basically sacrificed, all men in his unit died, but Chiến was captured. Weirdly enough, the ARVN officer recognized Chiến’s Nghệ An accent. Not only that, they had attended the same school. Instead of turning Chiến over to an ARVN prison camp, where at least beatings awaited, he reported Chiến as a “Chiêu Hồi” defector.
Spared, Chiến made broadcasts for the South Vietnamese, then he became a spy. In groups of three, these elite commandos were airdropped into North Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, to collect information. Of course, many were detected and killed, but Chiến survived.
Just before the Fall of Saigon in 1975, Chiến was in Vũng Tàu. As everyone, including armed ARVN soldiers, scrambled to get onto anything that floated, Chiến noticed a hysterically sobbing boy. Grabbing this kid, Chiến was determined to take him along, but they didn’t manage to get onto any boat. Now, Chiến was stuck. Death seemed certain when he’d be caught by the North Vietnamese. He’d betrayed them, after all.
Chiến’s father had fought under General Võ Nguyên Giáp at Điện Biên Phủ, and his younger brother, Nguyễn Quyết Thắng, had died during the Vietnam War. Quyết Thắng means Determined to Win. Chiến had also betrayed his family.
Again not shot, Chiến was sent to a reeducation camp way up north. Even more miraculously, the warden took a liking to Chiến, so made him a barber. Though he barely ate like everybody else, Chiến wasn’t really beaten up or put into solitary confinement. After just over five years, Chiến was released. This, too, was a stroke of luck. ARVN soldiers jailed under five years weren’t allowed to emigrate to the US under the Humanitarian Operation program.
Before leaving, Chiến had another frightful encounter. His old man had come south to look for him. Instead of giving Chiến a sound beating, his dad was shocked at how thin and poor Chiến was, so all was forgiven.
“You don’t even have an extra bowl!”
To feed his father, Chiến had to borrow one from the house next door.
I have no idea how Chiến survived in Oklahoma, but he made enough money to revisit Vũng Tàu at least once.

Worst To Be Safest — Nov 05, 2025.
Two days ago, I told Mrs. Seven I was headed to my grocer to get some cucumbers. Immediately, she handed me 10K (38 cents) so I could buy her the same. Hating to go anywhere, that’s mostly how she shops. Another time, she asked me to get her mosquito repellent lotion. Years ago, she risked going to those five-story buildings where many Russians lived. Somebody there sold killer sausages, she’s told. On the way back, Mrs. Seven got seriously lost, so never again.
She’s “hai lúa,” or “two harvests.” That’s a slang for hicks. They don’t know anything beyond their two harvests. And yet, a much younger Mrs. Seven went as far north as Hanoi and crossed into Cambodia to dance. Once she had to perform outside a theater filled with corpses, freshly butchered by the Khmer Rouge. Many were decapitated. When Mrs. Seven was a star at the Palace Hotel, a Taiwanese and a Frenchman fell in love with her. Others, too.
Linh Dinh Part 1 by DW Shumway
Interview with the Vietnamese-American dissident, university lecturer and banned writer
Even lives not so eventful are filled with turmoil, perhaps more than usual. No life is boring if properly recounted. Though I’ve talked much shit about the painter at Ông Bầu, his story is astounding, so let me sketch Mr. Đại, as he did me today.
His father is from Cẩm Giang, a village in Bắc Ninh, a thousand miles north of Vũng Tàu. In 1883, they converted en masse to Catholicism. During the First Indochina War, it was occupied by the Việt Minh, however. From there, they shelled French troops around 1950, so Cẩm Giang was in danger of being wiped out by French bombs. Them Frogs had planes. Since Đại’s dad was about the only one who could speak some French, he was tasked with saving his village. Approaching them with a white flag, he shouted, “We’re all Catholics! We’re not Communists!”
When the Việt Minh occupied Cẩm Giang, they forced each house to display a portrait of Hồ Chí Minh. Now, those were put away. In their places were crucifixes and portraits of Mary, Joseph and Jesus. Seeing these, the French were satisfied these villagers were indeed Catholics, so they didn’t bomb, rape or steal. They paid for every chicken, duck or pig. Unfortunately, they couldn’t stay. When the Việt Minh returned, Đại’s dad was in deep shit, so he had to flee way south, alone. Left behind was his wife and oldest son. Dead, he would have been useless anyway.
Ending up in Huế, 430 miles south, he joined the army of Bảo Đại, Vietnam’s last emperor. With a steady salary, he decided to remarry, but suddenly, his wife and son showed up. Hearing this from Đại, I protested, “What’s the chance of that?! How did your mom end up in Huế? Plus, it’s a huge city, even then. What were the odds of her running into your dad?”
“But she did,” he shrugged. “They were still in debt to each other.” It’s a Vietnamese expression meaning intertwining fates haven’t finished their courses.
In Huế, then, a second son was born, then his parents came to Vũng Tàu. Here, Đại appeared. Except for a dozen years in a New Economic Zone, he’s never lived anywhere else. As a city dweller thrust into the jungles, Đại didn’t have an easy time, obviously.
“I had been in the Boy Scouts, so that helped. Plus, I was befriended by a peasant from Quảng Ngãi. He showed me what to do. I also got help from an ARVN who spent years in jungles.”
Most incredibly, Đại still had his art supplies. In the middle of nowhere, he kept drawing with charcoal and pastels. Though Đại had no idea when his ordeal would end, and he had no audience, art kept him going.
In the late 80’s when most Vietnamese were still abjectly poor, Đại somehow went to China. He’s also been to Cambodia.

(L): Vung Tau, 11/5/25 ; (R): Saigon, 10/30/25
Had Đại been exposed to oil masterpieces over decades, he would likely have become a much better painter. Even most Americans have never seen an actual Manet, Vermeer, Hopper or Lucian Freud, etc. In the entire USA, there’s just one Da Vinci. Though books could be had anywhere, few bother to read even the best their culture has produced. Belligerently, defiantly and gleefully savage, millions march towards their Golden Age.
Finishing this at Ông Bầu, I see Morose at her laptop. Two days ago, I told her about La Gi, a town just 60 miles north. She’d never heard of it. “Go to Bình Châu, have lunch, then head to La Gi. It’s fascinating!”
Everywhere, everyone and everything is, but you’re not going to catch much if you’re always glued to a screen, masked and earplugged. Landing in Saigon after a three-hour flight from Guangzhou six days ago, I photographed one such man. From Chicago, he’s always well protected. It’s worst to be safest.

Vung Tau. (L): 11/8/25 ; (R): $3.65 on 11/10/25
Cecil Hotel in LA? — Nov 10, 2025.
This morning, I bought four cucumbers, four tomatoes, ten brown eggs and three fistfuls of shiitake mushrooms. Charging me $3.65, my grocer was apologetic, “Produce prices have gone up. There have been all these storms and floods.” Days ago, the tomato crab soup lady, Mrs. Tím, also lamented about prices. As with nearly everywhere else, Vietnam is increasingly slammed by natural catastrophes, with Hội An, its best preserved historical city, deluged with a record 42 inches of rain in 24 hours just two weeks ago. Huế, a capital city in the 17th and 18th centuries, suffered the same. Most horrible are houses or boats destroyed. Many thousands of people simply lost everything.
Several climate engineering techniques were tested, refined or perfected during the Vietnam War. Chemical weapons, too. Agent Orange is still deforming babies and killing people here, plus in Laos and Cambodia. Though made in the USA, Uncle Sam has always denied any responsibility. That’s just how he is. Boastful, bombastic and gleefully genocidal, Trump is the perfect personification of Uncle Sam. Those who love Trump aren’t ignoring his worst traits. They admire and envy his sadism, selfishness, shamelessness, vulgarity and infantilism. They wish they were Trump. MAGA men who must lie nightly next to aging wives can only fantasize about grabbing underaged pussies. Life isn’t fair.
A barista at NaLi Beach has just died from complications of Agent Orange. Telling me this at Coffee Seven, Sơn said he was surprised to find out this man was 36-years-old. He was so stunted. As NaLi Beach’s security guard, Sơn saw him each day until two weeks ago. Even gravely sick, he couldn’t afford to quit. Since he served me just once, I can barely visualize this man.
Bet you’ve never heard of Agent Purple, Agent Blue, Agent Pink, Agent Green or Agent White? Only God knows what else Sam sprayed here so liberally. What cute names, almost like a child’s crayon set.
Typing this at Ông Bầu, I notice another customer, in her late 40’s, clipping her toenails. A feeble young man with slender, easily breakable fingers is texting. Đại the painter was here sketching. Two days ago, he brought his four-year-old granddaughter. Sitting very still, she drew birds, cats, the sun, a cloud and a tree.
When I complained about everyone staring at phones, Đại said his wife has a 20-year-old nephew who’s so addicted to the small screen, he barely eats and has no actual friends. Responding to TikTok challenges, he taped his face, then genitals. He’s now on medications.
Just now, a man in his 60’s walked in with a retarded girl of about nine. Like me, they’re sitting in Ông Bầu’s small courtyard. Their low table is just a circular board resting on two truck tires. It’s so sweet to see this old man so patient and gentle towards his granddaughter. She’s eating a pretty good looking bánh mì. On her back is a cartoon cat. Now that she’s settled and enjoying herself, he starts focusing on his cellphone.
Coffee Seven is no more! Mrs. Seven has just been evicted by her half sister. Let’s call her Lanh. Though Wikitionary only defines it as fast or quick, shiftiness is implied. Devious and ambitious, Lanh is at least 20 times richer than Mrs. Seven. When her mom and stepdad got old and messy, she maintained social distancing, all right. It was Mrs. Seven who had to wash their asses thousands of times. Instead of thanking or reimbursing Mrs. Seven, Lanh is showing her the door. In months, that property will be converted into another mini hotel. Vũng Tàu already has hundreds.
Knowing she was leaving, the neighborhood loanshark came by to embarrass Mrs. Seven. Like many people up and down this street, she still owes him some money. This 68-year-old with a pot belly exuded smugness. Speaking loudly so all could hear, Pot Belly smirkingly said Mrs. Seven wouldn’t be able to close her eyes at death. This ugliest curse, he repeated several times.
Finally, he turned to Liệt, the retired teacher, to talk about Trump. Without the Donald, China would have swallowed up Vietnam already, Pot Belly sneered. This idiot with a third grade education was only drafted into South Vietnam’s Regional Forces near the end of the war, so saw no fighting. He wasn’t reeducated in any prison camp.
His first break came when his daughter married an old Aussie, then his son wedded an ethnic Chinese with some means. From his kids, then, he got enough cash to become a loanshark.
With her two dogs, Nọng and Milk Cow, Mrs. Seven has moved into her older daughter’s house half a mile away. I kept urging her to set up a sidewalk café on Đồ Chiểu, but who knows if I will ever see her again. Sơn, too, must find a new morning spot.
Left behind is a tree her dad planted decades ago. It wasn’t even on his land, but across the street. “It’s still your tree,” I joked, “so cut it down to sell the lumber!” As a parting gift, I gave Mrs. Seven some Nepali green and black tea.
Seriously thinking about returning to the US to take care of some business, I’ve looked into hotel prices in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle and El Paso. I’ve even considered staying in Juarez, across a short bridge from El Paso. In LA, the only reasonable priced hotels are around Skid Row. Stay on Main where Melissa Lam was found dead in a rooftop watertank is now called Cecil. That’s affordable. For weeks, its water tasted funny. We still don’t know what happened to Melissa.
In that fabulous land, there are no truths, only fairy tales about Lincoln, Roosevelt, JFK, RFK, MLK, Malcolm X, Moon Landings and 9/11, etc. Nothing ever said about it is remotely true, except when uttered, tweeted or pontificated by that radiant and anointed being who’s always right about everything.

Trump, Miller, Schumer and Dinh — Nov 11, 2025.
The sadistic mastermind behind ICE is Stephen Miller, a Jew whose real name is Glosser. He’s greenlit masked thugs to attack even citizens in broad daylight. There’s no transparency about the thousands kidnapped. Many were plucked from inside courthouses as they obeyed American laws. Racial profiling is rampant. Trump and Miller creamed their pants Christening one concentration camp “Alligator Alcatraz.” Judeo Christianity rules! I’d not be surprised if many victims have been tortured or murdered. Not realizing they may be next, MAGA morons cheer. In the meantime, they’re just bankrupted or starved.
Trump’s Democratic opposition is led by Chuck Schumer, the highest ranking Jew ever in the US government. Though enjoying a surge of support due to revulsion to Degenerate Donald, Schumer’s Dems have given up fighting for affordable healthcare. Us vs. Dem in US politics is always smoke and mirror.
Trumpers, though, will laugh off street protests or online outrage.
Darth Shredder, “Dems literally had NO REASON to cave… They had the polls in their favor… huge election wins to solidify it and momentum on their side. Republicans were seen as the villains, trump was losing support and getting desperate by taking away SNAP. What was the frickin point of even shutting it down in the first place? They not only got nothing… they lost the narrative and shifted all the blame to them. I’m done.”
Love One Another, “Chuck Schumer orchestrated this Kabuki Theater. He’s a lying TRAITOR! WE WILL PRIMARY YOU, CHUCK. MAGA NOT DEMOCRAT. HOW DARE YOU! Chuck just killed over 50,000 of us each year, who can’t stay alive without medical care.”
SkyP1e, “I started dialysis this year the cost comes to about $80,000 annually. I’m on disability and my private insurance dropped me right after the dialysis started so I applied for Medicaid. I eventually got approved but it took about six weeks of constant attention from me to get there. Chuck might have just killed me tonight. Thanks a lot scumbag.”
Seriously, though, how can you take people who call themselves SkyP12, Love One Another or Darth Shredder seriously? They’re no more real than Catdompa, Gigolo Joe, Mister Charlie PhD, Trinity or Arbeit Macht Frei, etc. Passing impotent gas, pseudonymous commenting perpetuates tyranny.
Genocides and economic collapse must go on.
Trump’s lead negotiator in the Middle East is Steve Witkoff. This Jew misled the Iranians into thinking the US was negotiating in good faith, but Trump colluded with Jews to attack, before bombing them himself. Though holding no official position, Trump’s Jewish son-in-law Jared Kushner has just met with Netanyahu to sort out what to do with the remaining Palestinians in Gaza.
Israeli real estate firm Harey Zahav cheerfully chirps, “Wake up, a beach house is not a dream!” Jews are salivating at moving into a Gaza free of Arabs. Trump envisions his golden statue, hotel and casino lording over them. How many prepubescent shiksas will be imported? Pain is their ultimate aim. Trump’s fingers still work, at least. Dumpster diving MAGA morons can follow the action on Truth Social or TikTok. Since they can’t afford to fly an hour to see dying grandma, they won’t be anywhere near Trump Gaza. Jews don’t care to see such vulgar red caps or T-shirts anyway.
“JESUS IS MY SAVIOR. TRUMP IS MY PRESIDENT.” “GOD, GUNS AND TRUMP.” “Liberty Guns Beer Trump” for LGBT. “IT’S GONNA TAKE A FELON AND A HILLBILLY TO FIX THIS.” Show up with any of these in Tel Aviv to be spat on.
Speaking to the Republican Jewish Coalition on 10/31/25, Lindsey Graham proudly declared, “I feel good about the Republican Party and where we’re going as a nation. We’re killing all the right people and we’re cutting your taxes. Trump is my favorite president. We’ve run out of bombs. We didn’t run out of bombs in WWII.” Graham has been a senator for 22 years. Before that, he was a congressman for eight years. Though usually less crude, most US senior politicians have exactly the same posture, ass up, that is, towards Jews.
Last Sunday, Trump appeared at a Commanders vs. Lions game. Though he was loudly booed or given the finger by nearly everyone present, a White House video of this humiliating incident shows Epstein’s best buddy given a hero’s welcome. It begins with Air Force One flying slowly over Northwest Stadium. A football with “TRUMP—COMMANDER IN CHIEF” and a jersey with “TRUMP” are shown. The latter, framed, is presented to him by the team’s owner, Josh Harris. This Jew with a shady business history has had much dealing with Jared Kushner.
It’s a nation of scams, lies and spins. Still thinking about a brief visit back, I checked Las Vegas hotel prices. With delight, I discovered 14 nights at Excalibur, right on the Strip, was on sale for just $359.74. The normal cost is $1,269.33. In small print, though, there’s this easy to miss bit, “Not included in price (collected by the property): Resort Fee (Pay at property) USA 714.28.” How many foreign visitors only discover this when checking in? No other country tries to pull off such a stunt, but then, again, no other nation is ruled by Donald Trump, Stephen Miller, Jared Kushner and Bibi Netanyahu.
Yesterday, I also got this email:
Though a bit long-winded, it sounded exactly like Trump, so of course, I immediately sent all my savings to The Donald via PayPal.
Forget San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, El Paso or Las Vegas, I will fly straight from Saigon to Dulles Airport, then take a limousine to the White House. To its swarthy driver, I’ll bark, “Trump has me covered. I’m his Official White House Advisor, so step on the gas, motherfucker! Any delay and I’ll have you deported. Where are you from anyway? Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen? Go back to where you came from, dickhead. Crawl back into your Bin Laden cave!”
Since it’s nearly freezing in DC, I will need to buy a cashmere coat, for the occasion, you know. In this tropical climate, a Binori or Canali would be very tough to find. Plus, I just sent all my cash to Trump. Enthusiasm, fanaticism or just stupidity can even lead to suicide, or at least death by a thousand cuts.

Vung Tau, 11/12/25
22,630 Days — Nov 12, 2025.
On my 62nd birthday, I’ve allowed myself to go mad, or, rather, to revert to a madder, more irresponsible self. At 9:35AM, I’m on my second BeerLao, though the first was somewhat shared with Như. She hardly drank her iced glass. Now, I’m sitting outside a liquor store that has maybe 30 types of beer. Four feet from me is a masked crone no taller than 4’9”. Across the street is Mrs. Tím, the crab noodle soup lady. Under her conical hat, she’s cleaning up and putting her tables and chairs away.
Until a minute ago there was a recorded song from inside the licker joint. It’s played for the owner’s 21-month-old daughter. I first heard it nearly 60 years ago. It’s about some frog sobbing in a corner. Tagged on stanzas include a dog, monkey and other animals. There’s an obscene version of a girl pissing in a corner.
Come out here, what’s that sitting in the corner? Only her back is shown. Oh, it’s a girl! It’s a girl pissing, with only her back shown. Oh, she’s a bad girl!
That didn’t just leave a profound impression on me at age 8 or 9, it has defined my entire life, I’m sure. Without this ditty, I could have been a venture capitalist, five-star general or president of the United States of America. Now, I’m permanently traumatized.
A couple months ago, I challenged Như to finish her book in a year. It’s coming along. Two weeks ago, I said I’d give her a serious spanking if it’s not done on schedule. I was born to coach, mentor or just be an asshole.
This morning, I told Như about Raymond Carver and Harold Brodkey. Over decades, details may slip. Recently, I insisted to D.W. Shumway my Mariners lost to the A’s by identical score, 6-0, on consecutive days in 1976. Problem is D.W. was at the fuckin’ first game! I only heard it on the radio in Salem, Oregon. It was the Angels, and not A’s.
Me this morning, “Carver wrote about being in some Yakima laundromat and feeling rather sorry for himself. That really resonated with me. I was living in Grays Ferry, this shitty neighborhood in Philly. Though I didn’t know it at the time, Grays Ferry kids, these Irish, Catholic boys, were selling soiled underwear to this creep, Uncle Eddie. He lived in Center City’s best neighborhood, Rittenhouse Square. Just the name alone, you can tell. Though he was a UPenn graduate and had a wife, Uncle Eddie was a closet faggot, with a shit fetish. Lying under a glass table, he enjoyed staring at shit oozing from these boys’ assholes.”
I’m not sure Như wanted to hear all that around 7AM. I did have a point. Uncle Eddie had a vision, which he followed. He was more artist than most artists. If eating shit is intrinsic to who you are, don’t overmask it.
Me on Brodkey, “This guy was so heavily promoted, and he was excellent. His prose is much better than Carver’s. Brodkey has the most amazing passage about pussy licking, and it went on for four or five pages! He seemed so honest and candid, but it turned out Brodkey was a queer. He had to admit this because he got AIDS.”
Như, “Queers can be amazing at pussy licking because they don’t like penetration. They must focus on that!”
“You must write about that, too!”
Như said that as a child, she was always screaming inside her head. As a kid, all I wanted was to grow up as quickly as possible, so I could escape.
“We’re all helpless children,” I said. “You’re not really in your 30’s.”
“I feel like I’m 23.”
“Bullshit! You’re about 8-years-old, at most. I’m 4 or 5.”
Of course, writing is one way of dressing yourself up, to sound more intelligent and in control, you know, but if your baby, malformed or monkey self cannot seep out, you’re a waste of time, if not a criminal.
“We’re always dressed up.”
“Even when naked, we’re dressed up.” She’s trying to outdo me!
Not willing to concede defeat, I cited Andre Dworkin’s Intercourse, “She has some of the most amazing insights into being naked I’ve ever read.”
At age 70 or so, poet Stephen Berg pulled down his pants at a gathering of maybe six people. “Look at that,” he shouted. I wasn’t there, though. Versions of this story must be circulating around Philly, at least. “Why did he do that?” I asked Như. “What’s the symbolism of that?” Berg’s infant or beast got loose, and not for the first time. This time, he wanted to be caught.
Như talked about sabotaging every relationship. Having turned away from everyone, she felt a perplexing guilt.
“But you’re not going to change.”
“I’m not going to change.”
“You’re getting even.”
Like me, Như decided early on to never have children. We can’t justify passing on our despair, resentment and horrors. Unhappy children are most trapped.
Without that frog song, I could have been a Vince Lombardi or, at least, a Pete Carrol, but instead, I’m just a canceled, wrinkled toddler drinking a $1.50 large bottle of BeerLao in perfect weather. Imbibing nothing but perfectly content, at least in appearance, that masked mummy keeps turning her vigilant skull with its murky eyeballs back and forth, as if there’s much to look at on this drowsy, terribly boring street.
All week, I thought about returning briefly to the States, but my US banking and Vietnam residency issues have mostly been solved. A visit to Guam, the first US territory I entered way back in 1975, is still a possibility. As the native land of the Chamorros, all of the Marianas should be one nation, I’d think. Instead, Guam will likely be the first territory to be completely wiped out during the next nuclear war. The Chinese DF-26 missile is even nicknamed “Guam Express” or “Guam Killer.”
The rest of the Marianas would be uninhabitable, but that’s probably true of everywhere else, too.

We are currently facing a moment of truth: either Russia will be able to complete its military operation in Ukraine within the next three to five months with a victory that will be unassailable by even the most ardent domestic skeptics, or the danger of a global confrontation will increase dramatically. On the external front, criticism will always be present, and our achievements will always be subject to discrediting, as there will always be forces seeking revenge and continuing the global confrontation. The format of peace in Ukraine should not leave any chance for foreign revanchists to ignite a new conflict in the next 10-20 years (it is impossible to make realistic plans for a longer period under the current conditions).
Until recently, the pace and direction of the Russian Armed Forces’ offensive indicated their intention, under favorable conditions, to defeat the most combat-ready Ukrainian forces assembled in the area from Kharkov to Pokrovsk and reach the Kherson-Zaporozhye-Dnepropetrovsk-Pavlograd-Kharkov line, with the expectation that a catastrophe on the front and the loss of new territories would make both the Kiev regime and its Western allies more constructive, leading to a peace agreement that would leave Ukraine without Novorossiya and thus severely undermine its demographic and industrial mobilization capabilities. In general, Kiev could lose up to 10 regions that were part of Ukraine in 1991 (Crimea, Sevastopol, the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, which have already become part of Russia, as well as the Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkov, Nikolaiv, and Odesa regions, which still need to be liberated).
Given that Dmitry Medvedev had been much more radical about the scope of future territorial changes throughout the summer (not excluding the possibility of Ukraine’s complete elimination), Moscow clearly wanted to demonstrate to its “partners” that there was an influential group within the Russian leadership advocating a more aggressive peace plan that would exclude Kyiv from the negotiation process and establish peace directly with those Western countries that were willing to accept it. Ukraine and those Western countries that were unwilling to take a constructive stance would be the ones to pay for the peace.
Judging by the way events unfolded since the meeting in Anchorage, and the careful nature of the Russian leadership’s statements regarding a peaceful resolution, Trump agreed to at least attempt to follow this path. However, it soon became apparent that the United States lacked European allies in its readiness for a compromise peace with Russia. Europe, in general, and its leading countries, in particular, supported Zelensky’s uncompromising stance. After some hesitation, and under serious pressure from American supporters of a hard line on Russia, including several members of his own team, Trump abandoned the idea of a separate peace with Russia and moved on to a “no peace, no war” project, in which the United States does not directly participate in the European crisis, but also does not seek a global compromise with Russia. Washington agreed to sell all types of weapons to its European partners and withdrew from restraining the provocative nature of their policies towards Russia. The principle was “Let Europe fight Russia if they want, and the United States will benefit.”

But it’s not so easy to escape from a war you started yourself, leaving your allies to fend for themselves. The Europeans, taking advantage of the Americans’ statement that they are willing to sell any type of conventional weapons in any quantity, have demanded that Ukraine receive at least several hundred long-range missiles. While the official request is for Tomahawk missiles, it is more likely that Ukraine will receive less powerful but equally long-range missiles of other types. However, the transfer of a certain number of Tomahawks, at least for the purpose of testing them against Russian air defense systems in real large-scale combat operations, is also not ruled out.
The transfer of long-range missiles to Ukraine will raise the question of a Russian response. Despite Moscow’s attempts to avoid another escalation, a response targeting the military infrastructure of countries that have provided missile weapons to the Kiev regime would quickly become inevitable. In this regard, Poland is the most vulnerable country, as it is home to the main hub for the supply of Western weapons to Ukraine, and it is actively involved in lobbying for Kiev’s interests and disrupting any negotiations for a compromise peace with Russia. Additionally, Poland hosts American troops, including the Aegis missile defense system, which could potentially be used for both missile defense and Tomahawk missile launches. In any case, the use of Kalibr, Iskander, or Kinzhal against a NATO military facility on NATO territory would have raised the question of NATO’s response. The situation threatens to spiral out of political control.
Judging by the latest actions of the Russian Armed Forces, Moscow has decided to accelerate the operation to defeat and destroy the most combat-ready units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces as much as possible and to give it more profound and decisive goals. This is a kind of response to the deployment of missiles before it takes place, in order to make this provocation meaningless.
Experience tells us that if the transfer of a particular type of weapon has become the subject of public discussion, it means that the Kiev regime will have access to that weapon in the near future. Initially, in a few instances, and then in a more significant number. Therefore, the sooner there is no one to transfer the weapon, the better.
In recent weeks, the Russian Armed Forces have been launching increasingly powerful strikes on Ukraine’s energy and railway infrastructure. As a result, all major Ukrainian cities, from the eastern border to the Dnieper River, have been plunged into darkness. Ukraine has also stated that Russia is attempting to logistically isolate the entire Left Bank region, including the Chernihiv and Sumy regions. This isolation is being carried out both before and during the offensive operation to prevent the enemy from maneuvering forces and resources and transferring reserves and supplies from the rear to the front, or at least to severely limit such capabilities.
Since the Russian Armed Forces are already conducting an offensive operation on the left bank of the Dnieper River with decisive goals, the sharp increase in missile strikes on Ukrainian rear areas should indicate Russia’s attempt to accelerate the pace of the operation without increasing its own losses, by leveraging its advantage in production and the number of missiles and UAVs it has accumulated compared to the collective West supplying Ukraine. Russia’s actions to isolate the combat zone and significantly reduce Ukraine’s ability to promptly repair equipment and produce UAVs in “garage” settings are effective in the short and medium term. Then, if the enemy is still alive, they gradually find ways to overcome the crisis, while their own strike forces are depleted, their reserves need to be replenished, and the intensity of their strikes decreases.
It could be assumed that Moscow is simply trying to speed up the operation to defeat the Kharkov-Donbass group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but the expansion of the geography of attacks on Kiev, Odessa, Chernihiv and Sumy suggests that while maintaining the previous goals of the operation, the maximum program is also considered as a minimum program: in case of successful development of the offensive, expand its geography to the limits of February- March 2022, to reach the Dnieper River along its entire course, if conditions allow, to occupy several strategic bridgeheads (the right bank of the Kherson region, the districts of Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye. Kremenchug and Kiev) and in the face of a full — scale catastrophe of the Ukrainian front, either dictate ultimatum peace terms to the Ukrainian authorities, or continue the pursuit of the APU further (possibly to the western border, but at least to the Zhytomyr-Vinnytsia line, which provides Russia with security from almost all types of non-strategic weapons in service with NATO).
Today, only the complete exclusion of Ukraine from the game on the Western side gives a fairly high, albeit not 100% chance, of avoiding the development of a Russia/NATO missile crisis, which will immediately acquire a partial global character in addition to its European nature. The acceleration of the operation against Ukraine is possible only through the maximum intensification of attacks on the rear: the maximum use of Russia’s air and space superiority, which will serve not only as an effective means of combating the Armed Forces of Ukraine but also as a demonstration and warning to Europeans who wish to wage war against Russia.
The window of opportunity for Russia is not wide open, but it is ajar, and it is into this gap that Russian missiles will have to fly in order to make it a gateway to a victorious world.

Today, we turn our attention to global geopolitics. As we have said several times in this blog, the Western world has squandered its five-hundred-year run of global dominance. Drunk on plunder, sustained by oceans of blood, and blinded by insatiable greed, gluttonous avarice, and stupendous arrogance of exceptionalism, Westerners could not imagine a world where they would no longer call the shots. Their racial arrogance engendered by stupendous ignorance would not allow that.
While the cretinous collective West with all its hubris continues to play empire with its decaying NATO toys and its hollow chants of “rules-based order,” the real tectonic plates of power are shifting under its feet. Anyone with eyes could see that global geopolitics is being remolded in real-time.
Recently, China’s President Xi Jinping quietly but decisively unveiled a vision that may be remembered as the funeral dirge of Western hegemony—the Global Governance Initiative (GGI). It rests on five cornerstones:
Although the stenographers who parrot official talking points as journalists in the West pretended that they did not hear, and, on the surface, President Xi’s words may sound like platitudes for a world summit brochure, we should not be deceived.
In geopolitical terms, Xi’s declaration is a bombshell, a paradigm shift, a rewriting of the global architecture born after the Second World War.
The Chinese president, in effect, announced the birth of a post-Western world order.
For decades, I have cried that the West needed to change gear. It needed to stop behaving like a bloated aristocrat living on stolen inheritance and squandering it with reckless abandon, fighting useless wars for example. I cautioned Westerners that it was necessary to rein in their greed and learn to live in a world where other civilizations also have a right to exist and prosper.
Of course, drunk on hubris, they would not listen to me. Still inebriated from their self-generated triumphalistic hurrahs over the collapse of the Soviet Union, they continue with their sanctions, more bombs, and more lectures about “human rights” given by people whose history is a museum of crimes against humanity – witness the genocide in Palestine.
When the Soviet Union collapsed, the West had its chance to build a truly inclusive world. Instead, it went berserk with insane triumphalism. NATO expanded like a metastatic cancer, gobbling countries eastward in direct violation of solemn promises. The twin evil organizations the West set up to rape the world (IMF and World Bank) continued their economic banditry (what else to call it?) in Africa and Latin America.
Washington, London, Paris, and Brussels strutted the world like schoolyard bullies, throwing threats and insults around. They gave themselves the authority to determine who must rule one country or the order. Their cries of “Assad must go!” “Gaddafi must go!” rent the air. The arrogance!
The crowning insult was the hubris of the so-called “unipolar moment”—the fantasy that the United States could reign supreme forever. Analysts with foresight like my favorite military strategy guru, Russian-born Andrei Martyanov, wrote four books and numerous blog posts to warn his adopted country, the US, that it was losing the military to the Russians. Of course, US Army Generals with their chests puffing with medals won from “victories” over inferior third-world armies paid no attention.
That arrogance has now detonated in their faces over their misadventure in Ukraine where Russia, single-handedly, handed a humiliating defeat to the Collective West and its expeditionary force, NATO.
President Xi’s first principle—sovereign equality—is a direct slap across the face of the West. For five centuries, Western powers operated on the doctrine that some nations are more “sovereign” than others. Britain could dictate to Africa. France could decree the terms of “Francafrique.” The United States could overthrow governments at will—from Iran in 1953 to Chile in 1973 to Libya in 2011, plus the countless in the Americas.
President Xi declared that the age of selective sovereignty is over. No country, however powerful, has the right to decide the destiny of another.
We already see that this is no longer a theory. Russia, China, and India refused to bend to Western diktats over Ukraine. Saudi Arabia, Iran, and even tiny Gulf monarchies now tell Washington “no” with increasing frequency. The Saudis recently wisely perched themselves under Pakistan’s nuclear umbrella.
The balance has shifted. The West no longer has a monopoly on coercive power.
The second cornerstone—abiding by international law—is another blow to Western pretensions. When Western leaders prattle about a “rules-based order,” they mean, “Rules we make, you obey.” When it suits Washington, international law is invoked like scripture; when it doesn’t, it is tossed aside like a soiled rag. More importantly, Westerners refused to share the book containing the rules with the rest of us.
Who illegally invaded Iraq in 2003? Who bombed Yugoslavia in 1999 without UN authorization? Who tore Libya to shreds in 2011 under the grotesque pretense of “humanitarian intervention”? It was these shameless paragons of “rules-based order.”
President Xi’s insistence on international law strips away this hypocrisy. What the Chinese president told us, in his calm voice, was that law is law, not a buffet where the West picks what it likes. It is apparent that the age of Western impunity, if not altogether over, is fast fading. It is being by replaced by a multipolar enforcement reality—where Moscow, Beijing, Delhi, and even Ankara or Tehran can say: enough.
Third, multilateralism. Westerners hear this word and immediately sneer, for in their dictionary, “multilateralism” meant a system where the US led and its vassals echoed. President Xi is not talking about the G7 club, where Europe still imagines itself relevant. He is talking about BRICS, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Eurasian integration, and an economic and political architecture that dwarfs anything the West can muster.
As they say, numbers do not lie. BRICS+ now represents more than 45% of the world’s population and nearly a third of global GDP—surpassing the G7 in purchasing power parity. Militarily, Russia alone has outclassed NATO, exposing it as an overrated relic. Add China’s industrial juggernaut and India’s demographic momentum, and the Western bloc looks like an aging rock band still touring on nostalgia.
Unfortunately, one only needs to listen to them to know that Westerners continue to live in a parallel universe.
Under President Xi’s vision, multilateralism means no more monopolies, unilateral sanctions, or economic chokeholds by Washington or Brussels. The new geometry of power has multiple centers, not one imperial metropolis.
President Xi’s fourth cornerstone—a people-centered approach—is almost alien to Western governance and culture. The West’s system is built not on people but on profit. For five centuries, from the slave trade to colonialism to modern neoliberalism, Western governance has meant the systematic robbery of the many to enrich the few. The West remains a plutocracy masquerading as a democracy.
Whatever its flaws, China has lifted 800 million people out of poverty in four decades—something the World Bank and IMF could never dream of. When the Chinese president says “people-centered,” he means development that puts food on tables, roofs over heads, and education in children’s hands. Not endless wars that fatten Lockheed Martin and Raytheon shareholders while millions of human beings starve.
This is not merely a moral difference—it is a civilization contrast. One system views human beings as expendable resources for profit; the other sees them as ends in themselves.
Finally, focusing on real actions, President Xi effectively skewers the West’s favorite sport: rhetoric without responsibility. Western leaders are masters of grand rhetorical speeches—Paris climate accords, Millennium Development Goals, Structural Adjustment Policy, endless summits with glossy communiqués. But what are the results? More carbon emissions, more inequality, more wars, more poverty.
China, by contrast, builds. It builds roads in Africa, ports in Asia, and railways from Asia to Europe. The Belt and Road Initiative may be controversial, but it is concrete, not a PowerPoint display. The West offers PowerPoints and bombs; China offers railways and trade. Free to choose, most countries will prefer President Xi’s Model.
Except for the purblind, everyone could see that there is no longer any doubt that the baton of global leadership has shifted. It is no longer Washington or Brussels that sets the tune. The new triumvirate—Russia, China, India—more than dwarfs the G7 in industrial and military firepower.
Together, these three form the backbone of a multipolar world. The G7, meanwhile, resembles a geriatric ward clinging to past glories with the narcissistic buffoon ordering everyone around.
And here comes the tragedy that stabs the heart. As this new global architecture is being built, where is Africa? Where are the voices of Lagos, Addis Ababa, Nairobi, or Johannesburg? Where are our technocrats, our economists, our philosophers? Tragically, the voice is missing. Our reprobate misrulers are missing in action when the world is being shaped.
It is Berlin 1884 all over again. Then, the Western powers carved Africa like a roast at dinner, without a single African at the table. Today, as Xi, Putin, and Modi redraw the map of power, Africa is again a spectator, not a participant.
The plantation managers we call presidents seem content to administer poverty while the real game of nations is played elsewhere.
Who will wake up our slumbering leaders and tell them that if Africa does not assert itself now, it will once again be written into the footnotes of history as an object, not a subject. That is the bitter lesson of Berlin 1884 and must not be repeated.
Africa cannot afford another century of irrelevance. Our technocrats must wake up from their slumber, shake off their colonial hangovers, and insist on a seat at the table—not as beggars with begging bowls but partners wielding the continent’s vast resources and human potential.
President Xi’s Global Governance Initiative signals the end of Western domination. But unless Africa asserts itself, we will again be the raw-material quarry of the new world order, just as we were for the old one.

The brilliant Femi Akomolafe touches on an issue in the African context that fits so well in our context. With brilliant discussions on GlobalSouth.co, many times the comment has appeared: “It is a spiritual war”, and I do not disagree and have no problem with that, because deep down we feel that the part of us that we recognize as a spirit, is assaulted. The incessant gaslighting would have us question our own realization of reality. The specific issue that is highlighted here and well discussed by Femi, is spiritual escapism.
How does a ‘spiritual war’ fall within the political zone? How does spirit play into international relations? What is the part of spirit while all indications are that we are heading towards a larger war in the physical sphere?
Is it that we automagically call it a spiritual war once we are in a position where our understanding is so assaulted that we have nowhere else to go? Has it come to the state that we bury ourselves in a spiritual blanket because, personally, we are at the end of our ropes? Has it become a handy excuse, instead of a rational assessment of our state, and the state of our world and our close community? Do we call a Holy War because we don’t dare to call it what it is? Pure spiritual escapism. The spiritual in our lives is also assaulted, and we have to bring it to the harsh light, as we unentangle the physical. Just before we forget: No, they are not God’s Chosen, and God did not give them that land, which is about the best example of the results of a malaise of spiritual escapism that we can find. The Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, visited an illegal Jewish settlement in the West Bank. During the visit, he openly supported Israel’s right to the entire West Bank: ‘This land (West Bank) was promised to the Jewish people. The world may not see it this way, but we do, and God tells us to honor the Jews’.
At the end of the day, keep that which is good.
Femi unentangles this issue.

Usually, there comes a time in the life of every enslaved people when even the blind among them begin to question the direction of the caravan. But sadly, this is not the case in Africa. Unfortunately, we in Africa have perfected the art of kneeling while being whipped, singing hymns while we are being robbed, and shouting Hallelujah! as our presidents fly off in their expensive Gulfstreams to receive treatment for headaches in Europe while our hospitals run out of gauze.
And when we dare to ask why? They and their rented mouths respond, with pious solemnity: “It is the will of God.”
God’s will? We didn’t queue for hours under the blazing sun, risk ballot snatchers and AK-47-toting party thugs, just to vote for god.
We voted for governance.
But what we got instead was a pantheon of petty, power-drunk demigods dressed in Armani agbadas, reciting Bible verses as excuses for policy failures and using Qur’anic quotations to justify the economic disasters they have visited on their people.
Look at Ghana – the land of Nkrumah’s Black Stars dimmed by presidential mediocrity—which has decided to become an outpost of the German labor ministry instead of a sovereign republic.
Skilled Ghanaian nurses, doctors, and engineers—trained with taxpayer money—are being shipped off to rebuild a rapidly aging Europe, while Ghanaian hospitals resemble 19th-century leper colonies. And what do His Excellency and his Ministers say when asked about this brain hemorrhage? “It is a divine opportunity.” We get this after seventy years of ostensible independence.
These misrulers tell us this absurd, divine nonsense as though god is now running job fairs in Hamburg.
Nigeria, not to be outdone in the circus of the absurd, now boasts of a High Priest in Aso Rock. Alhaji Pastor President Tinubu, sermonizer-in-chief of petrol poverty, recently donated ₦90 billion—yes, billion—to sponsor pilgrimages. This is a country where schools operate without roofs, where people have been under austerity measures for forty-plus years, doctors are constantly on strike, and the national grid collapses more often than a Pentecostal at a crusade.
And when asked about the collapsing economy? The same refrain:
“Nyame woha or God is in control.” “Let us pray for divine direction.” We didn’t elect a bishop or Imam; we elected a leader – or so we thought.
Fela warned us back in the 1970s when having a functioning brain in public was still legal in Africa. He sang, “Dem go for Rome, dem go for Mecca, dem go carry all the money.” And behold, his prophecy has come to pass.
Suffer, suffer for world (amen!)
Enjoy for Heaven (amen!)
Christians go dey yab (amen!)
“In Spiritum Heavinus” (amen!)
Muslims go dey call (amen!)
“Allahu Akbar” (amen!)
Open your eyes everywhere
Archbishop na miliki
Pope na enjoyment
Imam na gbaladun…
Our presidents now perform annual pilgrimages to Jerusalem, Rome, and Mecca, not to negotiate trade deals or continental alliances but to kneel, weep, and genuflect to phantoms and goblins of the sky. That is when they are not running to Washington, New Delhi, or Moscow to answer their peers who summon them to attend Africa Summits, which are never held on African soil.
These men – no, these misrulers – have turned State House into Holy Temple. They govern with crucifixes and prayer beads, not constitutions. When cholera breaks out? They declare a three-day fast. When the naira falls? They summon prayer warriors. When kidnappers abduct schoolchildren? “Let us all pray together as a nation.”
“In all ages, hypocrites, called priests, have put crowns upon the heads of thieves, called kings.” – Robert Green Ingersoll.
Pray? What of the obscene security votes that disappear into individual’s pockets? What of the billions budgeted for defense? What about the drones, the armored vehicles, and the intelligence agencies? Were they baptized, too?
This orgy of spiritual escapism has turned governance in Africa into one giant prayer meeting. State functions now begin with invocations and end with laying on of hands. Even public hospitals do not start the day without prayers.
Yet, despite all the religious pyrotechnics, not one pothole gets patched, not one slum gets upgraded, and not one factory gets built. We turned all the post-independence-built factories into prayer chapels, and we wonder why unemployment is high.
African presidents spend more time with Pastors and Imams than scientists, engineers, or philosophers.
Meanwhile, the clerical class – those miracle-peddling charlatans in priestly cossacks and with shiny shoes and darker souls – have become the unofficial opposition.
Men of God who own private jets and satellite churches in Miami but haven’t built a single hospital or provided clean water for their flock – snake oil in Gucci suits.
The average African is told to pray for wealth while his resources are auctioned off to multinationals by officials who just tithed at Sunday service. We have the most religious continent on Earth – and the most underdeveloped. Surely, someone must explain to us how righteousness correlates with ruin.
We have been played. Hard. Not just by the West, but by our rulers—these god-invoking, verse-spitting, spineless plantation overseers who’ve made kneeling and supplication a national ideology.
One loquacious, self-promoted Archbishop in Ghana called for prayers to rescue the sinking cedit.
Kenya’s Ruto tells citizens to fast and pray to survive inflation, while his motorcade alone could invade a small country. You can’t make this up.
Uganda’s Museveni—Africa’s own Methuselah in fatigues – has held office longer than many of his citizens have been alive. Every year, he organizes national prayer rallies – to ask God what? After 38 years in office, if you still need divine guidance, perhaps it’s time to try retirement.
We are ruled by cowards in cassocks, crooks in kaftans, and conmen in clerical collars. These are not leaders. These are spiritual scammers running pyramid schemes of piety while looting with both hands.
And the people? We nod. We chant, “Amen.” We vote again. We even defend them. Because we, too, have sold our minds to the clouds. We no longer ask for roads. We ask for “breakthroughs.” We don’t demand water. We pray for “showers of blessing.” Instead of infrastructure, we hold vigils. We spent all our waking hours in one religious jamboree or the other.
But as Ola Rotimi told us, the gods are not to blame.
It was not gods that cut the budget for education. No almighty god signs the loan from the IMF or inflates the price of fertilizer. Gods didn’t rig the elections. All these malfeasances are committed by the shameless, sanctimonious reprobates we have in power in Africa who cloak themselves in hypocritical piety.
Africans, let’s stop listening to stupid sermons. What we need is not more churches. Not more mosques. We don’t need bishops in government or mullahs in ministry.
What we need is cold, secular, competent governance. We need governments that build roads, not cathedrals. We need leaders that deliver vaccines, not verses.
“…Building Church and universities.
Deceiving the people day by day.
Me say dem graduating thieves and murderers…” – Bob Marly
The Chinese are not praying for a high-speed rail; their engineers build them.
The South Koreans did not develop through deliverance sessions. The Europeans have largely given up on God – and look at their infrastructure!
But Africa? Ah, we host continental fasts for economic growth.
And the result?
We are rich in minerals but poor in spirit, rich in culture but poor in direction. We have gold, oil, cocoa, and cobalt—but no shame.
We are ruled by shameless men who cannot fix a drainage ditch but can quote Isaiah 40:31 on national TV. Their motorcades stretch for miles, but their legacies fit in a single tweet: “We prayed, and God will do the rest.”
No. We did not vote for god. We did not vote for shepherds. We voted for stewards. Accountable, mortal, fallible stewards.
Leaders who understand that power is not divine but contractual that they serve at our pleasure, not Heaven’s.
Until we stop romanticizing this fusion of altar and authority, until we stand up and call out these pulpit-propped parasites for what they are – enemies of our progress draped in divinity – we will remain the laughingstock of human civilization.
So, the next time you hear a leader say, “We leave it in God’s hands,” remind them:
Mr. Presidents and the rented Vuvuzelas, please stop wasting our ears. God did not run for office; you did.
And if you cannot lead without a Bible in one hand and a bank alert in the other, kindly step aside. We’ve had enough of the gods.
What we need now—desperately—is governance.
Let the pastors build hospitals, let the imams build factories, and let our presidents—if they still dare—build futures, not faith-based excuses. After all, we do not see the reprobates in our presidential palaces in Africa kneeling or supplicating before they award themselves fantastic salaries and emoluments. We do not see them entreat heavenly fathers before they spend humongous amounts renovating their already lavish palaces. We do not see these misrulers plead with Holy Ghosts before they replenish their presidential fleets with the latest jets. They should stop fooling us with their stupid display of piety.

China’s research and development spending in 2024 exceeded 3.6 trillion yuan ($496 billion), an increase of 8.3% from the previous year. Even more impressive is the intensity: in 2024, China’s R&D intensity reached 2.68% of GDP, compared with 2.58% in 2023.
Although the United States is still the leader in absolute spending, amounting to about $823 billion, taking into account economic efficiency, China’s R&D expenditures in 2023 exceeded the actual volume by 2.3 times, approaching 1.8 trillion US dollars. China’s public sector spending on research is already 1.6 times higher than that of the United States and continues to grow, while U.S. government spending is declining.
Numerous forecasts suggest that by 2030, China may surpass the United States in R&D spending by 30% or more, which will radically change the global innovation landscape. Beijing recently announced plans to increase government spending on science and technology by 10% in 2024.
China has been investing in science purposefully for a long time, and it is already yielding results. (https://t.me/worldmarketstudies/803). The country has become a leader in the number of highly cited publications. According to Clarivate, which runs the Web of Science, a platform that indexes leading peer—reviewed journals, scientific books, and research articles, 20 times more highly cited research papers were published in the United States in 2003 than in China. By 2013, this gap had narrowed: about four times as many top-level papers had been published in America. But the data for 2022 showed that China has already surpassed both the United States and the entire European Union (EU). (https://t.me/worldmarketstudies/803)
Thus, China is already a leader in the number of scientific publications on advanced materials by a wide margin. (https://t.me/worldmarketstudies/803)
Moreover, according to the Leiden Ranking, which compares the research contributions of 1,506 universities from 72 countries based on their publications from 2019 to 2022, eight Chinese universities or institutes are among the top ten global leaders.
And ten years ago, we had a ridiculous reform of the Russian Academy of Sciences, (https://scientificrussia.ru/articles/reforma-ili-unictozenie-kak-izmenilas-ran-za-gody-sobstvennoj-perestrojki-mk-vedeneeva-natala ), which led to nothing, creating another useless department of the FANO, which is not clear what it was doing. That’s all…
Note: FANO probably stands for Federal Administration of National Education.
Chinese Premier Li Qiang delivered a speech on Sunday at the plenary session of “Peace and Security and Reform of Global Governance” of the 17th BRICS Summit.
The following is the full text of the speech:
Remarks by H.E. Li Qiang
Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China
At the Session on Peace and Security and Global Governance Reform Of the XVII BRICS Summit
Rio de Janeiro, July 6, 2025
Your Excellency President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva,
Colleagues,
First of all, congratulations on the successful opening of this summit. I thank President Lula and the government of Brazil for the work they have done in hosting this summit, and I welcome Indonesia as a full BRICS member.
Today, transformations unseen in a century are accelerating in the world. Geopolitical conflicts and economic and trade frictions keep emerging, flames of war continue to rage in some regions, international rules and order face serious challenges, and the authority and efficacy of multilateral mechanisms are weakening. All parties have come to see the growing necessity and urgency to reform the global governance system. And all are participating in and promoting the reform of global governance through various means, either on their own initiative or otherwise. China believes that in this process, one must firmly safeguard the shared interests of the international community and always stand on the right side of history. This is the only way to avoid taking a wrong turn or backpedaling, and to march forward in big strides toward peace, security, prosperity and sustainable development.
In 2015, President Xi Jinping put forward the global governance vision of extensive consultation and joint contribution for shared benefit, offering China’s solution to the global governance challenge. Ten years on, this important vision has gained growing global influence. Given the interwoven changes and turbulence in the current international landscape, this global governance vision of extensive consultation and joint contribution for shared benefit holds even greater value and relevance, here and now. In the face of heightened differences and disagreements, we need the spirit of equality and respect to enable more extensive consultation. The conflicts and disputes happening across the globe have their roots in the lack of trust and communication. Power politics and bullying are never the right way to solve problems. The security and development of all countries should be respected. There should be less arrogance and prejudice, and more sincerity and understanding. We need to look for the best answer that serves the interests of all through friendly consultation conducted on the basis of equality. In the face of deeply intertwined and shared interests, we need united and collaborative actions to enhance our joint contribution. Humanity lives in the same global village, and countries have increasingly become one community with a shared future. Whether it is tackling global challenges or promoting long-term development, no country can do it alone. Only by standing together in solidarity and working in close collaboration can we build a better home for us all. In the face of development opportunities where cooperation brings win-win results, we need wholehearted embrace of other’s success as our own to expand shared benefits. Development should not be a zero-sum game where one profits at the expense of the other, but a win-win story where all can benefit through mutual assistance. Countries’ development ought to be opportunities, not threats, to each other. When everyone is willing to share opportunities with others, there will be more opportunities and benefits to share.
Over the years, Global South countries have grown stronger and become champions of and contributors to the reform and improvement of the global governance system. Standing at the forefront of the Global South, we BRICS countries should uphold independence, act with a sense of responsibility, take bigger steps to build consensus and synergy, and strive to be the pioneering force in advancing global governance reform.
First, we should uphold justice and safeguard world peace and tranquility. Achieving fairness and justice is a persistent pursuit of BRICS countries and an important theme of BRICS cooperation. When international rules are being undermined and bullying practices are on the rise, we need to stand up for what is right and speak up for justice. We need to act as a positive and stable force for good in the world, promote dispute settlement by peaceful means, and seek solutions that address the root causes based on the true merits of issues.
Second, we should focus on development and bolster the driving forces of economic growth. China’s journey of reform and opening up shows that in solving all problems, development is the foundation and key. It is true to big developing countries like China. It is also true to other countries of the Global South and beyond.
With notable advantages in market, resources, industries and other factors, BRICS countries should play an active part in spearheading development cooperation, unlock the growth potential in emerging areas, and continue to explore new space for mutually beneficial cooperation. This year, China will establish the China-BRICS New Quality Productive Forces Research Center and the BRICS New Industry Golden Egret Excellence Scholarships, which will help BRICS countries train talents in areas such as industry and telecommunication, and pursue innovation-driven development.
Third, we should uphold inclusiveness and promote exchange and mutual learning among civilizations. Dialogue between civilizations can build bridges for peace and friendship and inspire wisdom for common development. With rich histories and cultures, BRICS countries should be advocates of harmonious coexistence of civilizations. We need to call for respect for cultural diversity in the world, and work to ensure that different civilizations inspire each other and prosper together.
China is ready to work with fellow BRICS members to make global governance more just, equitable, efficient and well-ordered, and build a better world together.
Thank you.

All of us watching the Alliance of the Sahel States ((French: Alliance des États du Sahel, AES), a confederation formed between Mali, Niger, and Burkina Faso) will have noticed that the violence is ascribed to Muslim extremists. I’ve never questioned this, as we know that these extremists are sent in to destabilize. On the East Coast of Africa, the infiltration is as far South as Mozambique. I learned just lately that there are Muslim Extremist groups active right down South in South Africa.
Knowing that, one does not question the why of this. Niger’s president, General Abdourahamane Tiani, delivered a different conceptual understanding during an interview that he gave on May 31st.
Terrorism has nothing to do with Islam.
That is the message Niger’s president, General Abdourahamane Tiani, delivered.
Tiani explained: Islam has existed in Niger for well over a millennium, yet terrorism is a recent phenomenon linked to Western imperialism. He mentioned France, the European Union, and the United States as culprits, saying France backs the terrorist group Jama’a Nusrat ul-Islam wa al-Muslimin (JNIM).
Tiani pointed out that the targets and victims of terrorism in the Sahel are overwhelmingly Muslims. Niger is roughly 98 per cent Muslim. Mali is approximately 95 percent Muslim. Burkina Faso is approximately 63.8 per cent Muslim. Where is the logic in religious zealots murdering members of their faith? Tiani put that question forward to the world.
He is not the first leader in the Sahel to accuse France of backing these groups. In 2022, Mali’s then-Prime Minister Abdoulaye Maïga accused France of supporting terrorists, providing them with arms and intelligence. Mali also sent a letter to the UN Security Council that year stating that France repeatedly violated Mali’s airspace and spied on the country to grant intelligence to terrorist organisations, and distributed arms to these paramilitaries.
I recently noted a statistic that 5 to 10% of Muslims form the extremist camp, and of course, these are divided into a multitude of various factions. Whether this is an accurate depiction may change the optics of the Muslim Extremist profile materially. This is not a massive number for a large population. We are expecting an article that should clarify some of what is arguably a minimal understanding.
Even with such a minimal understanding, it is again confirmed who it is that weaponizes the world.
[Ed Note: Now we know. Traoré speaks a fine, eloquent and unaccented English. He is brilliant! His Letter to the Pope was real Traoré. We can also then congratulate ourselves because we very quickly recognized and started questioning the AI information.]
Over to Femi:
Why do educated people who should know better resort to telling outright lies?
Why can’t serious writers or commentators use Search Engines to look things up?
Why is doing basic research such an encumbrance for people who went through university?
Many Nigerian fact-checkers are all over town peddling the lies that the head of the military junta in Burkina Faso does not speak English, and that his speeches were AI-generated.
What do people tend to gain from peddling easily debunked lies like this?
This is a video of Traore speaking to students at an African University in Russia:
Why would these Nigerians continue to peddle the lies they collected from the BBC, the Pedophile Headquaters the British set up to propagate their propaganda?
More importantly, why do they spend their time trying to denigrate the young leaders in the AES instead of fighting fossilized dinosaurs misleading their country into perfidy?
The liars should watch the video and tell the world which of the plantation managers masquerading as presidents in ECOWAS possessed Traore’s knowledge and can match his flawless eloquence or his knowledge of advanced science. Example: How many people know the difference between a rocket and a missile?
No, we are not apologists for Traoré or military rule.
What we advocate is that after over four decades, the imposition of Western-style democracy has revealed itself as one giant fraud to impose Western puppets on Africa, whose only mission is to guarantee the exploitation of our resources at a thieving price by Western Multinationals.
We should stop being FOOLS!
Why did the African rented Vuvuzelas of Western Imperialism never raise the question why semi-literate army boys were able to renegotiate stupid mining contracts and obtain better deals for their countries while African politicians, with every manner of degrees oozing from every orifice in their bodies, signed off their countries natural resources off for measely 3-5%?
Many African scholars are too glued to their BBC to have missed the immortal words of the late Chinese leader, Deng Xiaoping, who famously said, “It doesn’t matter if a cat is black or white, so long as it catches mice.”
The Chinese made incredible progress because, after their independence, they chose to follow their own, internally generated paths to economic, social, and political progress.
Unfortunately, we in Africa chose to copy and paste economic and political structures from our colonial masters and impose them on the colonial garrisons we euphemistically call countries. We did not even attempt to add any local ingredients to the mix. We did not see anything of value in ourselves, our history, or our heritage.
The most nauseating part is how we pretend to be flummoxed when these foreign impositions do not yield positive results. To show our incredible stupidity, we run to the same foreigners who have been abusing our gullibility to seek solutions. Yes, we are excellent pupils of the IMF, the World Bank, and whatnot.
Our educated Africans must also have missed the famous admonition often attributed to Albert Einstein: “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”
Why do our African scholars never remember that we governed ourselves in Africa for thousands of years before anyone heard of Europeans?
Why do they forget that we had successful economic and commercial activities before European invaders destroyed our lives?
Why do these people expect our conquerors to become our saviours and, more importantly, why do they expect a change of heart from our heartless exploiters after 500+ years of unremitting violence and exploitation?
Why will our scholars and political leaders not listen to the voice of one of our own, Professor Adebayo Adedeji, who told us that any economic system that marginalizes people is doomed to failure?
