In case you don’t know me, I’m James Corbett of corbettreport.com and Amanda and Larken were kind enough to invite me here to join you today to discuss an important topic: POSIWID.
What? Never heard of POSIWID before? Then you haven’t been following The Corbett Report!

But come with me and I’ll give you the long story short:
This is Stafford Beer.
Actually, to be more accurate, that’s Stafford Beer in full-on professional business manager mode.
This is what Stafford Beer looked like most of the time.
You could say he was a pretty … unconventional guy.
The bastion of truthiness (Wikipedia) describes him as a “British theorist, consultant and professor at Manchester Business School,” but that really only begins to scratch the surface of his esoteric explorations in the field of “management cybernetics.”
In fact, his involvement with Project Cybersyn in Allende’s Chile, complete with a Star Trek-inspired retro-futuristic command room for technocrats to oversee the Chilean economy in real time is probably worth an exploration in and of itself.
…But today we’re going to discuss something different: POSIWID.
POSIWID comes from Stafford Beer’s 1979 book, The Heart of Enterprise.
It stands for “the Purpose Of a System Is What It Does.”
You see, as a researcher in cybernetics management, Beer was fundamentally interested in systems and how they work…or how they fail to work.
He gives the example of a time he was living in London and bought a luxury car…that promptly proceeded to fall apart piece by piece as soon as he drove it off the lot. First a door handle came off, then a windshield wiper, next the odometer gauge.
Despite all the servicing stations for this car having a mutual agreement to supply each other with spare parts, he was unable to get the last missing part before the next one broke off. And as a good systems engineer, Beer decided to take his complaint to the source:
I wrote to the managing director of the manufacturing company to point out that the System for spare-part provisioning did not work. He disagreed. He said that there was nothing the matter with the system. […] ‘I am of the opinion that our system is efficient and that it only fails to maintain availability, due to manufacturing conditions or outside deficiencies.’ […]
What is the nature, and what is the purpose, of a spare parts provisioning System—and what are its boundaries? And if we may know the purpose of a System by WHAT IT DOES, then what did this System actually do? From my point of view it was a System for not supplying spare parts. From the managing director’s point of view, it must have had a different purpose: minimizing the capital tied up in spare parts, perhaps. In any case, the nature of the System was certainly a subjective affair.
Beer’s observation is deceptively simple.
Determining the nature of a system is a subjective affair. The manager of the manufacturing company might have one explanation of a system’s purpose, but that isn’t necessarily reflective of any observable reality.
If we COMPLETELY IGNORE what the system’s designer or its owner or its defender or its proponent has to say and look at what the system ACTUALLY DOES, we can see the objective reality of that system.
OK, alright, you get the idea, but who cares about car parts suppliers? Let’s look at some more consequential systems.
Like the War on Terror. You know, the wars of aggression waged primarily in the Middle East in the name of 9/11.
What was the purpose of the War on Terror?
George W. Bush tried to define it by its supposed end goal:
BUSH: Our war on terror begins with al Qaeda, but it does not end there.
It will not end until every terrorist group of global reach has been found, stopped and defeated.

…But let’s not take his word for it. Instead: POSIWID. The Purpose of a System is What it Does.
So, what did the war on terror actaully do?
It killed hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians. It cost the US over $8 trillion. And it actually led to the rise of more violent and extreme terror groups.
So, the purpose of the war on terror was to kill hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians, transfer $8 trillion from US taxpayers to the military-industrial complex and increase violent terrorism.
The Purpose of a System is What it Does.
Or, let’s look at the War on Drugs.
Everyone remembers when Nixon declared the War on Drugs in 1971.
NIXON: America’s public enemy number one in the United States is drug abuse. In order to fight and defeat this enemy, it is necessary to wage a new all-out offensive.

So, the purpose of the War on Drugs was to fight and defeat the enemy of drug abuse?
But what has the War on Drugs actually done?
It has incarcerated nearly one million people per year for drug offenses. It has cost an estimated one trillion dollars. And it has resulted in an increase in drug abuse.
Thus, the purpose of the system called “The War on Drugs” is to incarcerate a million people a year, divert a trillion dollars into the prison-industrial complex and increase drug abuse.
The Purpose of a System is What it Does
OK. One more example.
How about the War on Poverty?
JOHNSON: …and this Administration today here and now declares unconditional war on poverty in America. [Applause]

Our aim is not only to relieve the symptom of poverty but to cure it and, above all, to prevent it. [Applause]

So the stated purpose of the war on poverty was to cure and prevent poverty.
But what has it actually done?
It has created a web of nearly 100 interrelated welfare programs, spread across 14 government departments and agencies, and nine budget functions that spend over a trillion dollars a year on various federal welfare programs.
The result of these programs is that there is a greater percentage of the American population living in poverty than there was when the war was launched.
So, the purpose of the war on poverty is to create a vast bureaucratic infrastructure, transfer a trillion dollars a year from taxpayers to bureaucrats, middlemen and welfare recipients and to keep a greater and greater percentage of the population dependent on those handouts.
The Purpose of a System is What it Does
Simple, right? And straightforward. It takes the guesswork and the subjectivity and the “but we had good intentions” out of the equation and it gets to the heart of the matter.
So, are you ready to try it yourself?
Alright, come with me.
So, let’s test:
What was the purpose of the American Revolution?
Did it lead to freedom, prosperity and happiness, as the founding fathers supposedly intended?
Or has it resulted in the creation of the largest, most deadly, most data-hungry, privacy-invading, technocratically empowered empire in the history of the world?
What was the purpose of MAGA?
Did it Make America Great Again?
Or has it resulted in an EVEN STUPIDER and MORE MEANINGLESS war in the Middle East on the behalf of Israel, the expansion of the technocratic surveillance state, the growth of the military-industrial-artificial-intelligence complex, increased government protection for Monsanto and Bayer in their poisoning of Americans and the world, the hard wiring of the stablecoin scam and the Polymarket scam into law, and the systematic cover-up of the Epstein network?
The Purpose of a System is What it Does.
What is the purpose of voting?
Is it to make the people’s voice heard, as the Hope and Changers believed when they voted for Obama in 2008 or the MAGA die hards believed when they voted for Trump in 2024 or the pacifists believed in 1916 when they voted for Wilson because “He Kept Us Out of War”?
Or is it to provide the populace of the state with the comforting idea that they have any control whatsoever over a system that is fundamentally made by and for oligarchs?
Finally, here’s the most important question of all, and I invite you to apply everything you’ve learned here today : What is the purpose of the state?
While you ponder that, I’m going to assert my freedom as an unbound individual and I’m going to start approaching humanity.

Stephen A. Smith, the highly regarded basketball analyst, apologized to Kyrie Irving for criticizing him during the pandemic for refusing the COVID-19 vaccine. “Kyrie Irving, no matter what we think, may have been more right than we have given him credit for, and unquestionably was more vilified than he deserved. And ladies and gentlemen, it starts with me,” Smith said.
On July 30, after watching Dr. Anthony Fauci’s testimony in front of the U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Government Affairs, basketball analyst Stephen A. Smith broke from his vacation to record an apology video to basketball star Kyrie Irving.
Like nearly everyone in the media, Smith had criticized Irving in 2021 for electing not to take the COVID-19 jab despite the NBA mandate that all players must. That caused Irving to miss many games while he was on the roster for the Brooklyn Nets.
After welcoming viewers, Smith began his nearly 20-minute apology video on his “Stephen A. Smith Show” with:
“I felt compelled to come on the air because ladies and gentlemen, I have to do something that I’ve done in the past, but haven’t had to do so much in my career … and that is to issue an apology.”
Later, Smith said:
“This is not about him, the basketball player. This is about him, the man. The reality is, Kyrie Irving, no matter what we think, may have been more right than we have given him credit for, and unquestionably was more vilified than he deserved. And ladies and gentlemen, it starts with me.
“Telling y’all before on many, many occasions: I’m a man. If I’m wrong, I’ll say I’m wrong. But when it comes to Kyrie Irving … I can’t apologize strongly enough.”
He continued:
“But the real point is we can’t condemn those who were a bit suspicious and raise the proverbial eyebrow about what was going on. That includes not raising that proverbial eyebrow at somebody like Kyrie Irving.
“Kyrie Irving is a phenomenal, phenomenal basketball player. He’s also a good brother who’s conscientious — and never intended to hurt anybody — just exercised his God-given rights as a man and as an American citizen to do something differently than the public was pressuring him to do.
“I wasn’t alone; there were many, many people who took that [critical] position. They were wrong. And I was wrong. He deserved better. Especially from me.”
In his opening remarks of the Senate hearing on July 29, chair Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) addressed his colleagues and everyone in the room, saying:
“Frankly, the American people deserve an apology. I hope today Dr. Fauci will come clean, admit it was a mistake to fund dangerous research in China, and admit that the risk of this dangerous research exceeded any possible benefits.
“Ask forgiveness and pledge to help our government devise safeguards so a man-made epidemic never happens again.”
As reported in The MAHA Report, Fauci did not apologize. He pleaded the Fifth Amendment 111 times.
Smith, who, like many Americans during the pandemic, played it safe and dared not question authority, was presented with new information. That caused him to change his perspective.
We should applaud that.
“Kyrie Irving did nobody wrong,” Smith said. “We did him wrong. I did him wrong. And for that, I’m sincerely sorry. I just thought it was important to say that.”

250 Years of Taxation in America by Greg Reese

The Stamp Act of 1765 was the first direct tax levied by Parliament on the colonies, which had no elected representatives in Parliament to approve or debate it. British Parliament later stated in the Declaratory Act that they had “full power and authority to make laws and statutes of sufficient force and validity to bind the colonies and people of America in all cases whatsoever.” According to the story, the American Revolution wasn’t about the size of the tax, it was about the right of Britain to impose taxes on the colonists without their consent.
From 1868 to 1913, 90 percent of federal tax revenue came from alcohol and tobacco taxes. In 1909, President Taft recommended that Congress propose a constitutional amendment to give the government power to tax incomes without apportioning the burden.
In 1913, the Federal Reserve Bank was established. Along with it came the ratification of the Sixteenth Amendment, which gave what many court cases show to be undue power to the Internal Revenue Service. This includes case law that was withheld from IRS employee training, such as Stanton v. Baltic Mining Co. Bill Benson’s findings, published in “The Law That Never Was,” make a case that the 16th Amendment was not legally ratified and that the Secretary of State committed fraud when he declared it so in 1913.
The 1913 Form 1040 shows that only those with annual incomes of at least $3,000 were instructed to file an income tax return — the equivalent to approximately $98,000 in 2025. And only about three percent of the population was subject to the income tax. In the years following the Great Depression taxes were raised from about a tenth of a person’s income to a third. And during WWII the taxpayer base was expanded from 4 million people to 42 million. The Current Tax Payment Act of 1943 required employers to withhold federal income tax from an employee’s paycheck each pay period and send the payment directly to the IRS.
There is no statute in the Internal Revenue Code that clearly makes the average American wage earner liable to file a 1040 or pay income tax on their labor. And the Code of Federal Regulations, 26 CFR § 601.602, states explicitly: “The tax system is based on voluntary compliance.” The IRS counters that Congress gave the Secretary of the Treasury power to enforce these laws through involuntary collection if voluntary compliance fails.
In 2026, while many Americans struggle to make ends meet, and argue that the IRS is unconstitutional, the White House is targeting a July 4 deadline for the CLARITY Act to become law, which will be the legal framework for the agentic crypto economy, and comprehensive oversight by the IRS. Changes to Internal Revenue Code §6045 require brokers — “any person who is responsible for regularly providing any service effectuating transfers of digital assets on behalf of another person.” — to report digital asset transactions to the IRS.
This is happening on the international level as well, by the time the agentic AI commerce is fully running, every wallet, every broker, and every cross-border data-sharing agreement will already be wired directly into the IRS and its international counterparts.
The US has explicitly rejected the CBDC model in favor of privately issued, dollar-backed stablecoins regulated under the GENIUS Act and soon the CLARITY Act. But the surveillance and programmability concerns associated with CBDCs are still being achieved through state-mandated reporting wrapped around privately issued tokens that are functionally just as traceable.
Circle, the issuer of the USDC stablecoin which handles 98% of AI agent payments, is positioning itself as infrastructure for tokenized carbon credits. And so if a future carbon tax were ever implemented, the infrastructure will already be in place for it.

Oh, what a difference a decade makes.
Back in 2016, Bill Gates’ public image still sported the saintly halo that the massive PR budget of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation afforded him.
He was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Obama for his philanthropic work in medicine, science and education.
He was dubbed “Good Guy Gates” by the internet, giving birth to a popular meme extolling the virtues of a billionaire who selflessly gave away his billions for the good of humanity.
He even starred in mainstream children’s cartoons, with his cartoon co-stars so entranced by the presence of this real-life “superhero” that they could barely formulate a sentence in his presence.
But the unlikely arc of transformation that took William Henry Gates III from computer nerd to squeaky-voiced billionaire to reviled operating system monopolist to beloved philanthropist undoubtedly reached its zenith in 2019, when a YouGov survey found Bill Gates to be the “Most Admired Person in the World.”
Surely, Saint Bill had reached his apotheosis.
Fast forward a decade, however, and, to the extent that anyone is still talking about Bill Gates, it’s only to post new information about his involvement in the Epstein case or to post more creepy photos of Gates from the Epstein files:
Even The Wall Street Journal is running full-fledged exposés of Gates and his evil deeds.
So, what happened?
Well, for one thing, Who Is Bill Gates? came along to give Saint Bill a richly deserved pie in the face. And, by the end of the scamdemic, even Bill’s biggest fans were sick of seeing him rolled out on the news each evening to lecture us about how our lives would never go back to normal.
As important as those cracks in the Gates facade were, however, there is obviously something even more important happening here. When one of the key point men for the globalist agenda—the public face of the geoengineering agenda and the vaccine agenda and the digital ID agenda and the digital currency agenda and the lab meat agenda and the AI agenda—can become persona non grata among the globalist jet set, you know a major deep state operation is afoot.
Is it possible that Bill Gates is being thrown under the bus by his fellow travelers? And, if so, what does this mean for the grander globalist agenda?

Project Nanook, the Strategic Air Command’s mission over the Arctic in the late 1940s, revealed that the magnetic pole was moving about 10 miles per year and is accelerating exponentially. After being analyzed by the OSS and the RAND corporation, it was decided that reporting this news to the public would “destroy the moral fiber of society.” And was kept private.
Charles Hapgood, the lead geoscience researcher working within the same network, produced the crustal displacement theory which argued that rapid catastrophic shifts explain how Antarctica was once temperate, how the Sahara was once green, and how mammoths were flash-frozen with undigested tropical plants in their stomachs.
In 1965, Chan Thomas, an aerospace engineer who worked for McDonnell Douglas, published a geological book titled ‘The Adam and Eve Story.’ The CIA subsequently classified it, removing it from public access. After a FOIA request, a sanitized 57-page version was released. Those pages describe a crustal shift completing in six to twelve hours, generating supersonic winds, and walls of ocean water two miles deep.
The flood myth appears in over 200 independent cultural traditions worldwide. Immanuel Velikovsky hypothesized that these mythologies are not metaphors, but eyewitness accounts of real catastrophic events within recorded human history. Events that can be seen in the historic record.
The Younger Dryas impact theory suggests that a comet struck around 13,000 years ago, wiping out many species of animal and causing a mini ice age that lasted more than 1,000 years. Göbekli Tepe was built about 11,600 years ago and required engineering precision that archaeologists cannot explain. The Sphinx shows water erosion from rainfall that last occurred in Egypt 10,000 years ago. The Piri Reis map, drawn in 1513, shows Antarctica’s coastline accurately, as it exists now under the ice. The pattern shows that about every 12,000 years, a civilization gets reset. But how this happens is a mystery.
Wallace Thornhill and David Talbott developed the Electric Universe theory which proposes that plasma is the fourth state of matter and makes up 99.9% of the visible universe. According to their theory, planetary encounters produce massive electrical discharges which have left geological scars still visible today. Many other researchers point towards the sun.
Robert M. Schoch of Boston University, makes the case that the abrupt end of the last ice age, almost 12,000 years ago, was not caused by a comet, but was caused by Solar outbursts that increased earthquake and volcanic activity, fires, high radiation levels, and massive floods. Among his evidence for this is vitrified stone at Scottish hill forts and on the Giza Plateau.
Douglas Vogt has been studying the causes of geomagnetic reversals since 1971. He identified the exact number of years between reversals to be 12,068 years and argued that during a reversal, the Sun novas and causes an ice age.
Ben Davidson of Suspicious Observers believes that a geomagnetic excursion event will cause a geographic crustal shift at a catastrophic scale, and that this cycle repeats about every 12,000 years.
Astrophysicist Paul LaViolette argued that periodic superwaves from the Galactic center — occurring roughly every 12,000 to 26,000 years — produce crustal torque, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and massive solar events. He believed that the zodiac system encodes a warning about these catastrophic superwaves, and that smaller superwaves occur more frequently.
Jason Breshears of archaix.com theorizes that catastrophic reset events occur to some degree every 138 years, driven by what he calls the Phoenix phenomenon. He expects a significant event in 2040, with a larger phenomenon he calls the Nemesis X Object in 2046.
Most of these researchers seem to agree that the cycle is approximately 12,000 years, and the last event was between 10 and 12 thousand years ago. And when you look at the behavior of world governments and the world’s billionaire class, one can make the argument that a Great Reset is expected to happen soon.

Smart Dust and Human Chattel by Greg Reese

The Smart Dust project was funded by DARPA for military applications — specifically for rapid deployment of defense sensor networks onto the battlefield. Battlefield sensing is inherently about detecting people who don’t know they’re being detected. The invisibility and undetectability are deliberate design priorities.
This technology appeared in the public with US Patent 11,354,666 B1, “Smart Dust Usage”, which was filed on May 26, 2016, and granted on June 7, 2022. It is assigned to Wells Fargo Bank and describes a system for authenticating a user making a payment using “smart dust.”
Smart Dust is technically known as MEMS, microelectromechanical systems, and is comprised of what are called motes. A mote is a single, self-contained micro-sensor node. Each mote measures one cubic millimeter or less, and is roughly the size of a grain of sand. These ‘motes’ are released as clouds, with thousands of sensor nodes simultaneously sampling the target from multiple angles and positions.
The Biometric data being collected includes: location, facial and body recognition, heart rate, blood pressure, body temperature, breath rate, voice recognition, and fingerprint scanning. The system is designed to create a unique cryptographic signature for every individual based on biological and behavioral data, and is designed to operate without being noticed.
The patent describes the motes as a “cloud” around the user, but UC Berkeley researchers have successfully implanted smart dust sensors into rats in order to monitor and control nerve and muscle activity. This technology requires no batteries and relies on ultrasound to draw power. Scientists claim that for humans, internal smart dust devices could monitor vital signs, and could enable control over prosthetics and robotic limbs.
In March 2022, the University of Washington’s “Dandelion” breakthrough, partially funded by the U.S. Air Force, deployed tiny battery-free wireless sensors by wind, inspired by dandelion seeds. The senior author stated that: “Our prototype suggests that you could use a drone to release thousands of these devices in a single drop.”
In 2024, a large blanket of fog affected the United Kingdom, the USA and Canada. Over 20,000 travelers in the UK and 3.8 million drivers in the USA were impacted. People described it as “a thick blanket of fog” with a “particle-like” appearance, which had an odd “chemical, electrical, or burning” smell to it. And many people claimed to experience fever, coughing, sore throat, headache, and fatigue after exposure. The fog hit during the Christmas and New Year travel period, when millions were moving around for the holidays.
A second patent, US 11,748,578 B1 “Predictive Text System”, was filed in November 2021, and granted on September 2023, to Wells Fargo Bank. This patent describes a system that uses neural networks and machine learning to analyze and predict your financial thoughts and intentions in real-time as you type. Combined with the biometric data from smart dust, this creates a system that can monitor both what you’re physically doing and what you’re thinking about financially. A predictive behavioral surveillance system designed to be always-on and continuously learning. This is the exact infrastructure needed for implementing a social credit system.
The smart dust market was valued at 153.9 million dollars in 2024 and is estimated to grow at a compound annual growth rate of over 14.3% from 2025 to 2034. Industrial use has increased significantly in 2023 and 2024, with integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms now allowing smart dust devices to analyze data locally and make autonomous decisions. This technology is currently moving from laboratories to public deployment — which has naturally caused concern. In the 1950s and 60s, the U.S. Army conducted open-air biological and chemical tests over American cities without public knowledge or consent.
