China‘s Silence on Gaza is Strategic | Zhang Sheng

Par : amarynth

We’ve seen this, but now with a few words from Dr. Quan Le in our China Writers’ Group, as we see zionist-israel weaponizing and politicizing the shooting at Bondi Beach.

We are also learning how powerful the zionist lobby is in Australia. Syrian Girl’s Telegram Channel has some interesting information. https://t.me/syriangirlpartisan/485

The Zionist Mossad had just joined the investigation into the Bondi Beach shooting.  The bloodlust toward Iran, which is now blamed, is fast becoming a massive media fire.  These people mobilize very fast.  The blame game mobilized fast as well.  “Netanyahu blames the attack in Australia, which killed at least 11 people, on Australia signaling its support for a Palestinian state.”  But what they do not say, is what AHH mentioned in the Hearty Salon today:  “As I thought, the fools that shot up the zionazi vacationers in Oz were salafis. Remote-controlled mindless drone-proxies without a shred of honor or sense. No normal muslim or human takes it out on civilians on another continent when the armed enemy sits pretty elsewhere. A meaningless action, and calculated to harm their own kind and advance narratives, but some are stupid beyond help

Recently, we posted material on how zionism is growing and literally called it a new Pax Judaica. We also see in the LAC the strong push to support zionism. https://sovereignista.com/2025/12/10/rise-of-the-jewish-empire-with-prof-david-miller/

Dr Quan

“I sometimes allow myself a small irrational comment :

I love the teenager look of the Chinese academic Zhang Sheng because it reminds me of the physical description by the Grand Historian Sima Qian (145 bce~86 bce) of another Zhang guy, also an intellectual, who lived 22 centuries ago : Zhang Liang (~251 bce-189 bce), a nobleman from one of the six kingdoms having lost against Ying Zheng (259 bce/ruled as King Zheng of Qin from 247 bce to 221 bce and as Emperor from 221 bce to his death in 210 bce). Ying Zheng is better known worldwide as the First Emperor of China.

Zhang Liang (~251 bce-189 bce) was the main & savvy advisor of Liu Bang (256 bce/ruled from 206 bce to 202 bce as King of Han and as Emperor from 202 bce to his death in 195 bce), the Founding Father of the 426-year long great Han Imperial dynasty (206 bce-220 ce) which gave to the Chinese people their name in Chinese, the 漢 Han people and having precisely conquered the inaugural but quite short-lived First Empire of the Qin dynasty (221 bce-207 bce).

Let’s hope that Zhang Sheng, and other advisors, will give wise and awesome counsels to the present & future Chinese rulers so the words besides Zhang Sheng’s photo will become a dazzling factual reality :

CHINA WILL BREAK ZIONISM.”

The United States just managed to pass a highly controversial resolution in the United Nations Security Council, which basically transforms Gaza into a UN Mandate and makes Donald Trump its governor. Resolution 2803 has alredy been heavily criticized by Human Rights experts like Francesca Albanese and Craig Mokhiber. The puzzling thing in this is that Russia and China, both abstained from voting, thereby helping the resolution to pass.

To help understand China’s position on West Asia, I’m today joined by ZHANG Sheng, a Non-resident Visiting Researcher at Turkey’s KUASIA (Coach) University, and the author of a very popular video on Youtube where he recently explained Chinese approaches toward Gaza.

Marwa Osman: Yesterday in Gaza …

Par : amarynth

… a crime was committed; one that should have brought the sky crashing down and split the heavens in two… but it passed.

Terrorist Israeli Ocupation soldiers shot dead a ten-year-old boy, Zaher Nasser Shamiya. He fell to the ground.

But wait, killing him wasn’t enough. While his body was still warm, still trying to understand the pain, a tank advanced toward him.
It drove over his tiny frame.
It crushed him.
It split him in two on the eastern side of Jabalia, as if his soul had become part of the road beneath it.

Had this crime occurred anywhere other than Gaza, the sky would have collided with the earth, and capitals around the world would have shaken.
But in Gaza, the world grows more vile, more unjust, more willing to accept the unbearable, more numbingly cruel.

It is only us…only we who carry all the rage.
Only we who hear the impact.
Only we who see the blood writing truth across the asphalt.

Genocided Gaza-December 2025
One of the days of what they dare to call “a ceasefire”.

…

Trump is still bloviating that there is peace in the middle east.  The word peace is coopted as the word terrorist is coopted.

Qatar, Türkiye Warn Gaza Ceasefire Is Fragile, Incomplete

Par : amarynth

There comes a time when one has to give credit where credit is due.  This does not mean sudden trust, it does not mean that one throws knowledge away and suddenly become love partners with the Arab states, it only means we give credit where it is due, at this moment.  The future will tell. The Doha forum unfortunately had everyone and the kitchen sink taking part. We had Kaja Kallas and such people taking part. But, the Qatar and Türkiye leaders spoke truth, clearly, with no ambiguity.

Gaza Ceasefire Lacks Stability, Say Regional Leaders

This is from https://interbellumnews.com/conflicts/palestine/qatar-t%C3%BCrkiye-warn-gaza-ceasefire-is-fragile-incomplete

Top mediators Qatar and Türkiye issued a stark warning that the nearly two-month pause in Gaza is fragile and incomplete, stating that a genuine ceasefire cannot be achieved without the full withdrawal of Israeli forces and an end to the ongoing violence that continues to claim Palestinian lives.

Speaking at the Doha Forum on Saturday, Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani emphasized that the current situation amounts to merely a “pause” in hostilities. He asserted that stability, freedom of movement for Palestinians, and a complete Israeli military withdrawal are non-negotiable prerequisites for a lasting peace. This call was echoed by regional leaders who stress that without addressing the core issue of Palestinian rights and sovereignty, any agreement risks repeating cycles of violence.

A Truce in Name Only

Despite the truce that began on October 10, the Israeli military campaign has not ceased, with Palestinian authorities reporting over 600 violations in seven weeks. Since the truce started, Israeli attacks have killed at least 360 Palestinians, including 70 children.

Just on Saturday, seven people were killed in separate incidents across northern Gaza. This ongoing violence underscores the mediators’ point that the current arrangement fails to provide genuine safety for Gaza’s civilian population.

Furthermore, key provisions of the first phase of the U.S.-brokered plan remain unfulfilled. The agreed-upon daily target of 600 aid trucks entering Gaza has never been reached, and the Rafah border crossing has not been reopened for two-way movement as stipulated. Egypt, alongside other nations, has condemned an Israeli plan to open Rafah exclusively for Palestinian departures, warning it could facilitate permanent displacement and blocks aid entry, a move seen as a breach of the peace plan.

Disarmament, Governance, and an International Force

The proposed second phase of the deal, which has yet to begin, involves a complex set of interlinked challenges that mediators are urgently trying to solve. The phase calls for a full Israeli withdrawal, the deployment of an International Stabilization Force (ISF), the establishment of a new Palestinian governance mechanism, and the disarmament of Hamas.

The issue of Hamas’s disarmament presents a major stumbling block. The group has stated it will not disappear and remains a central part of Palestinian political life, and is only open to handing over weapons as part of an internal Palestinian political process, not as an act of surrender to Israel.

Experts warn that attempting forcible disarmament would be a “recipe for disaster,” likely leading to renewed conflict. A viable plan would require a sequenced, Palestinian-led process that offers reintegration pathways for fighters.

Parallel to this, efforts are underway to build a post-war security infrastructure. Egypt, with EU support, has begun training thousands of Palestinian police officers intended to form a future Gaza security force loyal to the Palestinian Authority. This force is envisioned to work alongside, and eventually take over from, the proposed ISF. However, the composition and mandate of the ISF itself are still unresolved.

While Türkiye has indicated a willingness to participate, Israel openly opposes its involvement. The force’s primary goal, as stated by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, should be to separate Palestinians and Israelis, with other details to follow.

A Race Against Time

With the humanitarian situation still catastrophic and winter approaching for a displaced population lacking shelter, mediators are pressing for immediate action. Norway’s foreign minister insisted that the stabilization force and a governing peace council “must be formed this month,” warning the current pause “cannot hold for many more weeks in its current phase”.

—
Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan discussed the future of the Gaza ceasefire at the Doha Forum 2025.

Al Thani emphasized that the current pause in fighting is not yet a full ceasefire, highlighting the need for Israeli withdrawal, stability in Gaza, and free movement for residents.

Both leaders stressed ongoing collaboration between Qatar, Turkey, Egypt, and the US to advance negotiations and establish an International Stability Force (ISF) to separate Palestinians and Israelis at the border.

Fidan noted that the ISF’s mission must be realistic, supported by local Palestinian police, and coordinated with a peace board for long-term stability.

This is the speech that I concur with. Veracity? Future will tell but so far the Arab states held strong to a Palestinian State.

US planning Gaza ‘green zone’ under Israeli control

Par : amarynth

While we wait to see what the outcome is of Russia’s counter resolution at the UNSC on a plan for Gaza and the whole of Palestine, here is the US plan fleshed out.

https://russiaun.ru/en/news/comment_gaza_141125

From the Cradle

US planning Gaza ‘green zone’ under Israeli control
——
The Trump administration is reportedly planning a long-term division of Gaza into a “green zone” under Israeli and international military control and a “red zone” left in ruins, according to documents seen by The Guardian. Foreign troops would initially deploy alongside Israeli forces east of Gaza, divided by the current “yellow line.” Officials admit reunification is “aspirational,” raising doubts about Washington’s commitment to an enduring political settlement.

Plans for Gaza’s future have shifted rapidly: first promoting fenced “alternative safe communities” for Palestinians, then dropping the idea entirely. Humanitarian groups say they were not informed of the changes.

The evolving proposal centers on a so-called international stabilization force starting with a few hundred troops and potentially growing to 20,000, though many countries are unwilling to deploy forces to Gaza.

Reconstruction would begin only inside the “green zone,” with the US hoping improved conditions lure Palestinians across Israeli lines, a plan which echoes failed US strategies in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Hamas Statement on Israel’s Ceasefire Violations in Gaza

Par : amarynth

### Press release issued by the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, regarding the occupation’s violations of the ceasefire agreement signed in Sharm el-Sheikh one month after its implementation.

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

In this statement, we in the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas affirm our thanks and appreciation for the efforts of the brotherly mediators and all countries, international and humanitarian organizations, and free people of the world who took a courageous ethical and humanitarian stance in rejecting the genocide carried out by the occupation against our people in Gaza. We value the efforts of the mediators who contributed to reaching the ceasefire agreement.

In the context of the commitment of the Movement and the resistance forces to implement the agreement, stemming from their national and humanitarian responsibilities, it calls on the brotherly mediators, guarantors, countries, and international organizations to continue working to pressure the occupation and oblige it to stop its repeated excesses and violations aimed at torpedoing the agreement and undermining efforts to stabilize and sustain it. These violations were as follows:

First: Hamas’s full and precise commitment to the agreement

Since the ceasefire agreement signed in Sharm el-Sheikh came into effect, the resistance forces have adhered with full, precise commitment and in good faith to implementing the agreement. It handed over the twenty living captive occupation soldiers within 72 hours of the implementation’s start. It also continued meticulous search operations for the bodies of “israeli” captives in daily coordination with mediators and the International Red Cross.

This was despite the extremely difficult field conditions created by the war, its complete changing of the Strip’s features, the destruction of its infrastructure, the occupation’s control over 60% of the Strip’s area, working amidst hundreds of tons of unexploded ordnance dropped by the occupation on Gaza, the lack of sufficient excavation and rubble removal equipment (which the occupation still obstructs the entry of), the martyrdom of a large number of resistance fighters who were guarding the occupation’s captives, and the vaporization of the bodies of hundreds of Palestinian fighters and civilians (and the possibility of the same for some of the occupation’s captives).

Despite this, the Movement was able to recover (24 bodies out of 28). Through mediators and the Red Cross, it provided coordinates for the locations of other bodies in areas under occupation control. Meanwhile, the Movement continues its intensive efforts to find the remaining bodies. The Movement has left no pretext the occupation tried to fabricate, addressing each one, confirming through actions and field facts its full commitment to the text and spirit of the agreement.

Second: The occupation’s violations one month into the agreement

Since the agreement began, the occupation has not stopped undermining and violating it daily and momentarily, and attempting to fabricate pretexts.

This is represented in:

> 1. Killing and targeting civilians: 271 Palestinians were martyred as a result of deliberate bombing and shooting by occupation forces. Civilians constituted more than 91% of them, with 94% inside the Yellow Line and the rest adjacent to it. Among the martyrs were 107 children, 39 women, and 9 elderly persons, meaning 58% were children, women, and the elderly, in a scene that reflects the occupation’s continued policy of systematic killing against the unarmed population.
>
> 2. Injuries: 622 citizens were injured by bombing and shooting. 99% of them were civilians, including 221 children, 137 women, and 33 elderly persons, meaning 63% of the injured were children, women, and the elderly, which confirms the vengeful and systematic nature of the occupation’s crimes.
>
> 3. Arrests: The occupation arrested 35 Palestinians, including fishermen at sea and others from areas adjacent to the Yellow Line. 29 of them remain in detention.
>
> 4. Demolition of homes inside the Yellow Line: The occupation continues, on a daily and systematic basis, to demolish homes located inside the areas it controls outside the Yellow Line, in a clear and explicit breach of the agreement. These violations have continued for a full month without stopping, leading to widespread destruction of citizens’ property inside that area.
>
> 5. Exceeding the temporary withdrawal line: The occupation has not adhered to the agreed-upon withdrawal line for the first phase. It is exceeding the Yellow Line by an area estimated at 33 km squared, which includes fire control within distances ranging from 400 to 1050 meters inside the line, and the incursion of military vehicles into these areas. The occupation has also placed concrete blocks that exceed the Yellow Line by distances ranging from 200 to 800 meters along the temporary line.
>
> 6. Preventing the entry of UNRWA aid: In an explicit violation of the agreement’s text, the occupation continues to prevent the entry of humanitarian aid provided by UNRWA, which has led to the backlog of more than six thousand shipments of vital supplies. UNRWA is considered the most capable and professional body for distributing humanitarian aid, given its more than seventy-seven years of experience in relief work and serving Palestinian refugees in its various fields of operation.
>
> 7. Restricting the entry of aid and fuel: The occupation has deliberately and systematically violated the agreement’s clauses stipulating the entry of at least 600 aid trucks daily, including 50 fuel trucks of all types. Actual humanitarian aid did not exceed 40% of the total trucks entering during the first month, meaning less than 200 trucks per day.
>
> Commercial trucks constituted 60%, part of which were registered as aid despite being commercial. It also only allowed in 38 gas trucks and 92 diesel trucks, i.e., 8.4% of the agreed-upon quantity. Fuel is the oxygen for restarting life—for operating hospital generators, opening roads, running transport facilities, and rehabilitating infrastructure amid a total power outage. This confirms the occupation is working in a calculated and systematic way to maintain the state of paralysis and prevent the return of life.
>
> The occupation also continues to close the “Zikim” crossing, a main route to facilitate and speed up aid entry from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis. The occupation also controls the types of materials allowed in, preventing basic foodstuffs like meat, poultry, eggs, and livestock, except in minimal amounts. In 31 days, only one truck of eggs was allowed in. It also prevents the entry of tents and shelter supplies despite the harsh onset of winter; what has entered is less than 5% of the Strip’s urgent needs, deepening the humanitarian crisis.
>
> 8. Failure to operate the power generation plant: Despite a month passing since the agreement’s signing, Gaza residents have not seen any practical steps toward restarting the power generation plant, even though the agreement’s text affirms that preparations for its operation should begin immediately upon the agreement’s entry into force. This keeps the Strip in a state of partial paralysis affecting all aspects of life.
>
> 9. Preventing infrastructure rehabilitation: The occupation continues to prevent the entry of heavy equipment and materials needed for rubble removal, as well as obstructing the entry of necessary supplies for operating power and water stations, sewage systems, bakeries, and hospitals. It also prevents the entry of construction materials and civil defense equipment needed for reconstruction, which systematically prevents efforts to rehabilitate infrastructure and restore civilian life in the Strip.
>
> 10. Closure of the Rafah crossing: Despite the agreement to open the Rafah crossing in both directions starting October 20, 2025, the crossing has remained closed since 03/18/2025, despite (21) days having passed since the agreed-upon date for its reopening. The occupation government continues to prevent citizens from traveling and returning, which has multiplied the suffering of thousands of stranded individuals, patients, and students, in a direct breach of the agreement’s clauses.
>
> 11. Incitement by occupation leaders to return to war: Political, military, and security leaders of the occupation continue their public, near-daily incitement to resume the war and not abide by the agreement’s terms, in clear disregard for the international community and defiance of world leaders who affirmed at the Sharm el-Sheikh summit the necessity of stabilizing the ceasefire. The occupation’s cabinet also voted, one week after the ceasefire agreement, to change the war’s name to the “War of Resurrection” (Harb al-Ba’ath), a step that shows its insistence on continuing the aggression and its rejection of the ceasefire path and international efforts for stability.
>
> 12. Mutilation of the bodies of Palestinian martyrs: The occupation handed over dozens of Palestinian bodies that had been brutally mutilated, including bodies crushed under tank treads, and others who were field-executed while bound and blindfolded. This constitutes a fully-fledged war crime and a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.
>
> 13. Detainees and the missing: The occupation continues to manipulate the delivery of a list of names of Palestinian detainees from Gaza, despite a full month passing; it has not provided the final list as stipulated in the agreement. It continues to evade the mediators, providing incomplete lists from time to time, lacking dozens of detainees it had previously acknowledged in earlier lists, in addition to repeating some names or including names of persons who were previously released.
>
> The Movement affirms the existence of more than (1,800) missing persons from Gaza whose fate is still unknown. The occupation also continues to detain the nurse Tasneem Marwan Al-Hams from Gaza, along with dozens of women and children from the West Bank, and prevents the families of deported detainees from meeting their released relatives.

We in the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas and the resistance forces affirm our full commitment to the agreement signed in Sharm el-Sheikh and to our ethical and humanitarian responsibility towards our people. We hold the occupation fully responsible for its continued gross violations and breaches. We call on the mediators, guarantors, governments, and international civil society organizations to take immediate and serious action to oblige the occupation to stop its aggression, lift its siege, allow in aid, and guarantee the Palestinian people’s rights to security, freedom, and dignity.

Based on the resistance’s commitment to the agreement, international law, and international humanitarian law, we call on the brotherly mediators, guarantors, countries, international organizations, and free people of the world to act urgently to ensure the occupation is obliged to implement the following clauses:

> 1. Precise adherence to the clauses of the ceasefire agreement signed in Sharm el-Sheikh, affirmation of its continuation, and prevention of any breach.
>
> 2. Immediate cessation of killing, massacres, and violations against our people in Gaza.
>
> 3. Withdrawal according to the temporary line agreed upon in the first phase, and preventing any field transgressions or additional fire control.
>
> 4. Commitment to allowing in the agreed-upon quantities of aid and fuel as stipulated in the agreement, and preventing their reduction or obstruction.
>
> 5. Allowing UNRWA to work with full freedom inside the Gaza Strip immediately, and enabling it to enter and distribute humanitarian aid as the most experienced and capable body to do so.
>
> 6. Operating and opening the Rafah crossing in both directions for the travel and return of citizens, and lifting the restrictions imposed on it immediately.
>
> 7. Opening the Zikim crossing for the entry of humanitarian and relief aid via the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan without restrictions or delay.
>
> 8. Urgent allowance for the entry of 300,000 tents for immediate shelter to enable citizens to protect themselves from the bitter winter cold.
>
> 9. Entry of equipment and machinery necessary for infrastructure rehabilitation, and adherence to the agreed-upon humanitarian protocol.
>
> 10. Immediate cessation of demolishing and destroying homes and civilian facilities in the areas the occupation still controls.
>
> 11. Allowing entry of equipment necessary to operate the power generation plant in Gaza, and entry of the required diesel quantities for it.
>
> 12. Full and immediate disclosure of the fate and data of all Palestinian detainees and missing persons from the Gaza Strip.
>
> 13. Allowing entry of medical, humanitarian, and media missions and civil defense teams to provide their humanitarian and relief services freely.

America’s in Silent Free Fall

Par : AHH

By Epic Economist.

Video Description:
“The American economy is crashing right now, and it’s worse than most people realize. From banks refusing cash withdrawals to nearly a million jobs lost to automation, from healthcare premiums doubling overnight to stores packed with inventory nobody can afford, the warning signs are everywhere.

In this video, we’re looking at what’s really happening on the ground. Not the official numbers or media spin, but what everyday Americans are experiencing: being interrogated at banks for their own money, losing jobs at profitable companies, watching healthcare become completely unaffordable, and seeing the retail economy grind to a halt.

This isn’t just a recession. Multiple systems are breaking down at once, and most people don’t realize how connected it all is. The crash is already here, the question is whether you’re prepared when it hits your situation directly.”

Act now while still have options:

  • Families need to be extremely selective about spending as every dollar needs to go further in what’s coming
  • If have income, built savings fast
  • If have a job, create backup income streams
  • If have a house, make sure can afford it if your income drops
  • Keep cash accessible
  • Cut unnecessary spending immediately
  • Built relationships locally with people you can count on
  • Learn skills that cannot be automated
  • Face reality; elites behind this government abrogated the social contract and are engaged in uncontrolled demolition

Mr Putin’s response to Prof Marandi’s Gaza and Palestine question (formal transcript)

Par : amarynth

The Russian formal transcript on Vladimir Putin’s Valdai speech (4 hours including questions), is proceeding apace and we will hopefully see the transcript complete today. Again, every Tom, Dick and Harry are in the process of announcing what Putin said, do their own translations, and sometimes I know full well that in cases, he never said what is already appearing on sloganeering. The other problem is that people take the pieces that they are interested in only, and they lose the context. The context was How to do this Mulitpolar world thing and where are we? I intend to pull that out of the massive speech over the next day or two, for this very important context.

As Prof. Marandi’s question was a very important one, let’s take a look at it, from the formal transcript.

We need to note that Mr Putin was not fully briefed. As usual, his perspective is very carefully presented and he said he is not up to date with certain information.

Professor Marandi, Iran.

Seyed Mohammad Marandi: Thank you very much for the opportunity, Mr President, and I thank Valdai as well, this excellent conference.

We are all saddened because during the last two years we’ve seen genocide in Gaza, and the pain and suffering of women and children being torn apart day and night. Recently we saw President Trump gave a peace proposal that looked more like a submission and capitulation. And especially introducing someone like Blair with his history is insult to injury. I was wondering what do you think the Russian Federation can do to bring an end to this misery, which has really darkened the days of everyone? Thank you.

Vladimir Putin: The situation in Gaza is one of the most tragic events in recent history. It is also well known that the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has publicly admitted – and he often reflects Western views – that Gaza has become the largest children’s cemetery in the world. What could be more tragic? What could be more painful?

Now, regarding President Trump’s proposal on Gaza – you may find this surprising, but Russia is overall ready to support it. Provided, of course, that it truly leads to the ultimate goal we have always spoken about. We must thoroughly examine the proposals made.

Since 1948 – and later in 1974, when the relevant UN Security Council resolution was adopted – Russia has consistently supported the creation of two states: Israel and a Palestinian state. I believe this is the only key to a final, lasting solution to the Palestinian–Israeli conflict.

As far as I understand – I have not looked through the proposal carefully yet – it suggests creating an international administration to govern Palestine for some time, or more precisely, the Gaza Strip. It is proposed that Mr Blair would head it. Now, he is not known as a great peacemaker. But I know him personally. I have even visited him at his home, spent the night there, and in the morning, over coffee in our pyjamas, we spoke at length. Yes, this is true.

Fyodor Lukyanov: Was the coffee good?

Vladimir Putin: Yes, quite good.

But what would I like to add? He is a man with strong personal views, but he is also an experienced politician. Overall, if his knowledge and experience are directed towards peace, then yes, of course, he could play a positive role.

However, several questions naturally arise.

First: how long would this international administration operate? How, and to whom, would power then be transferred? As I understand it, this plan foresees the possibility of eventually transferring power to a Palestinian administration.

I believe it would be best to transfer control directly to President Abbas and the current Palestinian administration. Perhaps they may face difficulties in addressing security matters. But as I heard from colleagues today, this plan also envisages that the power transfer may involve local militia groups in order to ensure security. Is that bad? In my opinion, this could be a good solution.

Let me repeat: we must understand how long this international administration will be in force. What is the timeframe for the transfer of civilian authority? No less important are security issues. I believe that this deserves support.

On one hand, we are talking about the release of all hostages held by Hamas, and on the other – the release of a significant number of Palestinians from Israeli prisons. It must also be made clear: how many Palestinians, who exactly, and in what timeframe this exchange would take place.

And, of course, the most important issue: how does Palestine itself view this proposal? This is absolutely essential.

Here, the opinion of the region and the entire Islamic world matters, but most of all Palestine itself and the Palestinians, including Hamas.
There are different attitudes toward Hamas, and we also have our own position and contacts with them. It is important for us that both Hamas and the Palestinian Authority support such an initiative.

All these questions require thorough and careful study. But if this plan is implemented, it would indeed represent a significant step towards settling the conflict. Still, I want to stress once again: the conflict can only be fundamentally resolved through the creation of a Palestinian state.

Of course, Israel’s position will be crucial here. We do not yet know how it has reacted. Frankly, I have not seen any public statements yet; I simply have not had time to look. But what really matters is not public rhetoric, but how the Israeli leadership reacts to this and whether it is ready to implement what is being proposed by the US President.

There are many questions here. But overall, if all these positive elements I have mentioned come together, it could become a real breakthrough. Such a breakthrough would be very positive.

Let me repeat this for the third time: the creation of a Palestinian state is the cornerstone of any comprehensive settlement.

Elena Panina: Gaza — another “cunning plan” of Trump and Israel

Par : amarynth

Elena Panina from Russtrat.ru (translated with Telegram)  https://t.me/EvPanina/17424

[Note:  Trump’s Gaza Peace Plan is already morphing to a possible Ukraine solution.  The empirical entity is building a format that they hope to use over and over again.  “The pattern has shifted toward attempts to utilize dwindling economic rights as a wedge for military intervention to expand the hegemonic stake through unrestricted warfare across all domains.”]

There is active promotion of the US administration’s plan for settlement in Gaza. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu verbally approved it, making a number of amendments.

▪ The most important thing: Trump’s plan does not contain the thesis about the possibility of creating a Palestinian state. It has been replaced with “the Palestinian people’s aspiration” for self-determination. Hamas, by the way, has not yet agreed to the plan. But they will be pressured.

The second important point. After the release of all living hostages and the handing over of all bodies of deceased hostages, the IDF, according to the plan, only reduces the occupation zone of the sector, but does not completely withdraw from it. It is obvious that from this moment Israel, which has already not restrained itself in terms of using all forces and means in Gaza, will receive a full carte blanche for a military solution to the issue.

The third point — the demand for the complete demilitarization of Hamas. In addition, it and other groups must refuse to participate in the governance of Gaza, directly or indirectly. Hamas members who agree to disarmament and “peaceful coexistence” are promised amnesty. They will also have the opportunity to leave the sector through a safe corridor to host countries. Thus, Gaza will lose its armed instrument. And after its complete demilitarization, anything can be done with it.

It is also assumed that temporary governance of the Gaza Strip will be carried out by some technocratic authorities under the supervision of an international body personally headed by Trump. Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair will also join the council of this body. We are witnessing new forms of colonial governance.

▪ By the way, Trump’s special envoy Stephen Witkoff has already stated the universality of the approach to settlement in Gaza and the potential possibility of its use worldwide:

“This is not only about the Gaza Strip, but also about how this [settlement] can spread to all other regions of the Middle East and what it will lead to. It may even spread to Russia and Ukraine.”

The motto “From directors of Gaza — to director of Ukraine” is directly suggested. And it seems that the council on Ukraine will also include the well-known Victoria Nuland.

It is obvious that Trump’s plan is designed to reduce international pressure on Israel in connection with its policy of genocide in Gaza. The Palestinians will ultimately get nothing. Over time, after disarming Gaza, Israel with the help of the US will carry out its final annexation.

Trump’s Gaza Plan

Par : amarynth

Netanyahu apologized to Qatar.  He is being skewered in Israeli media, by both left-wing and right-wing commentators, for apologizing, which most Israelis today see as a Middle East agitator, if not an enemy state.

One commentator noted: “Either this is a very embarrassing act of forced backpedaling, or there is a very serious deal on the table that required this move.”

Deal:

President Donald Trump’s Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict

Gaza will be a de-radicalized terror-free zone that does not pose a threat to its neighbors.
Gaza will be redeveloped for the benefit of the people of Gaza, who have suffered more than enough.

If both sides agree to this proposal, the war will immediately end. Israeli forces will withdraw to the agreed upon line to prepare for a hostage release. During this time, all military operations, including aerial and artillery bombardment, will be suspended, and battle lines will remain frozen until conditions are met for the complete staged withdrawal.

Within 72 hours of Israel publicly accepting this agreement, all hostages, alive and deceased, will be returned.

Once all hostages are released, Israel will release 250 life sentence prisoners plus 1700 Gazans who were detained after October 7th 2023, including all women and children detained in that context. For every Israeli hostage whose remains are released, Israel will release the remains of 15 deceased Gazans.

Once all hostages are returned, Hamas members who commit to peaceful co-existence and to decommission their weapons will be given amnesty. Members of Hamas who wish to leave Gaza will be provided safe passage to receiving countries.

Upon acceptance of this agreement, full aid will be immediately sent into the Gaza Strip. At a minimum, aid quantities will be consistent with what was included in the January 19, 2025, agreement regarding humanitarian aid, including rehabilitation of infrastructure (water, electricity, sewage), rehabilitation of hospitals and bakeries, and entry of necessary equipment to remove rubble and open roads.

Entry of distribution and aid in the Gaza Strip will proceed without interference from the two parties through the United Nations and its agencies, and the Red Crescent, in addition to other international institutions not associated in any manner with either party. Opening the Rafah crossing in both directions will be subject to the same mechanism implemented under the January 19, 2025 agreement.

Gaza will be governed under the temporary transitional governance of a technocratic, apolitical Palestinian committee, responsible for delivering the day-to-day running of public services and municipalities for the people in Gaza. This committee will be made up of qualified Palestinians and international experts, with oversight and supervision by a new international transitional body, the “Board of Peace,” which will be headed and chaired by President Donald J. Trump, with other members and heads of State to be announced, including Former Prime Minister Tony Blair.

This body will set the framework and handle the funding for the redevelopment of Gaza until such time as the Palestinian Authority has completed its reform program, as outlined in various proposals, including President Trump’s peace plan in 2020 and the Saudi-French proposal, and can securely and effectively take back control of Gaza. This body will call on best international standards to create modern and efficient governance that serves the people of Gaza and is conducive to attracting investment.

A Trump economic development plan to rebuild and energize Gaza will be created by convening a panel of experts who have helped birth some of the thriving modern miracle cities in the Middle East. Many thoughtful investment proposals and exciting development ideas have been crafted by well-meaning international groups, and will be considered to synthesize the security and governance frameworks to attract and facilitate these investments that will create jobs, opportunity, and hope for future Gaza.

A special economic zone will be established with preferred tariff and access rates to be negotiated with participating countries.

No one will be forced to leave Gaza, and those who wish to leave will be free to do so and free to return. We will encourage people to stay and offer them the opportunity to build a better Gaza.

If Hamas rejects the proposal, or tries to significantly alter it, the plan will be implemented in areas already under IDF control, while Israeli forces continue to battle Hamas in areas still controlled by the terrorists.

All Palestinian Factions have agreed to not have any role in Governance of Gaza, directly, indirectly or in any form

Trump continued to say:   Trump hails support for his new Gaza peace plan

Says Arab, Muslim and European leaders called to confirm it’s real — ‘the BIGGEST THING they’ve ever heard’

He describes wide involvement of regional and global powers in backing the proposal

Trump praises Netanyahu as a ‘warrior’ but says Israelis now demand peace and hostage returns

Blasts European allies for ‘foolishly’ recognizing a Palestinian state out of fatigue

Insists no one wants peace more than him — and, he adds, ‘Bibi too’

Netanyahu accepted the plan

Trump: The Arab and Islamic countries, along with Israel, asked “a nice man named Donald Trump” to chair the Peace Council in Gaza, even though my schedule is very busy.

Trump CAN’T believe Israel gave up Gaza in 2005 – ‘They gave up the ocean! Who would do this deal?’ The Don switches seamlessly between real estate pitch and Israeli talking points

Trump says he hopes the US and Iran can “get along”, believes Tehran is open to it, and suggests Iran could eventually join the Abraham Accords.

Netanyahu: We are taking the first step toward ending the war in Gaza and advancing peace in the Middle East.
Netanyahu: We must have all our hostages back, Hamas must be disarmed, and Gaza must be demilitarized.

Netanyahu says if Hamas rejects Trump’s plan, Israel will “finish the job” on its own.

The formal plan has now been published on the White House website.

——

Please give me a moment before I respond. At this moment, this plan privatizes the occupation. There is a scriptural reference that beats in my head. Look at all these things – Bow before me and you can have it all. He failed to take Greenland, he failed to take Canada, he was unable to take the Panama Canal, he allowed Bibi Netanyahu to run a genocide, and now he wants to take the pieces of that and save Netanyahu’s genocidal arse.  We can no longer live with this. But Hamas must accept and fight another day.  This plan is not sustainable as it does not give the Palestinians what they deserve after land, life, and liberty were taken from them.

Is China Failing Palestine? KJ Noh & Carl Zha Respond to Criticism

Par : amarynth

A friend sent me this video, and I critiqued it.  As usual, when the issue of China and Russia (to a lesser extent) appears, there are many who almost violently protect China to the exclusion of everything else. Anything that is considered within the ‘China Bad’ meme is attacked.  Because this is a criticism of China, there is an automatic classification that the one who critiques is ‘China Bad’.  One gets screeds and reams of comments such as ‘you don’t understand China’ and ‘China is different’, and ‘if China intervenes, it will be worse’, and other such inane comments.  In fact, I have experienced very few who can discuss this topic with reason.  But, to be true, I have experienced two such people who, with courage, even stepped up to defend me.  And all I wanted was a reasonable explanation, thinking I was missing something.

All of these supposed ‘China Bad’ issues disappear if one looks at two issues only.

The first is that China supports the UN Charter, along with the body of international law that accompanies it.  One part of this is the laws on genocide, and those spell out the ‘obligations’ on states in case of genocide.  China simply fails those obligations and keeps a robust trade environment going with zionist-israel.

The second is the advisory opinion of the Court of International Justice.  This opinion supported the obligations of states and, first and foremost, stipulated that trade with zionist-israel should be suspended.  They did not call it by the name of boycott, divestment, and sanctions, but by definition, what the court spelled out in the main, is specifically that.

The issue here is not that activists are in some ‘China Bad’ scenario.  The issue is that activists are asking China to fulfill their own espoused values and stop trading, specifically the weapons trade.  In fact, nobody is asking China to do more; rather, they are asking China to do less and not trade.  If this will change now that the word genocide has been accepted as the description of what zionist-israel is doing, we have to see.  Today at the UNGA, we will see if the Hague Group made any headway.  “The Hague Group is a global bloc of states committed to “coordinated legal and diplomatic measures” in defense of international law and solidarity with the people of Palestine.

Mr Lavrov, in his address to the G20 ministerial on the sidelines of the High Level UNGA week, mentioned the new research that the death toll in the Gaza Strip may be in the region of 680,000 Gazans dead.  If one considers that the best estimate we have of the population of Gaza before this war started (and this is not taking into account all the previous quick zionist-israel ‘haircuts’ on the Gazan population), was a population of the Strip at 2.1 million, which was a 6% decline from the previous year due to the war on Gaza.  It does not take a mathematician to see that a quarter of the Gazan population has been slaughtered.  The number itself cannot take into consideration the ongoing trauma of starvation and fear and tent camps droned and set on fire, losing families and running for your life, only to be droned on the spot.

One of my critiques in relation to KJ Noh, is that he is writing his own fairy story and he disappears into his own fantasy.  He has no grounding in these laws and as such he is devising what he thinks, and this is all in defense of China.   Don’t make up stories!  This critique of China is not only for China, but all of the States that are still trading with zionist-israel.  China is not different here, as it has accepted all of international law and that includes the obligations on states in time of genocide.

Here is the video and I’ll add Fiorella in Moscow’s critique afterwards.

From Fiorella

I’m sorry but no.

Everyone knows the United States is literally at fault for what Israel is doing because of the funding mechanism and the weapons that it gives the entity. This type of support to a lesser degree is echoed in most western European countries like the UK and even the Five Eyes. That’s a given. No one with a brain is saying otherwise.

But Zionism is imbedded in Washington but it is also spreading like a cancer elsewhere. It’s in Eurasia as well, and Israel has positioned itself as a vital economic member of the global economy. As much as we hate it.

The argument here is that China can’t stop doing business with Israel because it’s dealing with the American empire. This is total bullshit because they don’t need business with Israel to succeed. Same as their lack of recognizing Ansurallah in Yemen and aiding Saudis.

Simply because we can blame the West and have no faith in them, means we have faith in China or Russia to do better. But if the argument is they can’t because they’re facing NATO/West, then we have no hope. The US government as it stands would need an actual upending and revolution to ever change course on Israel. Which will take decades. That’s the reality. I have faith Russia and China could do something much sooner. Which is why I argue they need to, as powerful nations, cut ties with Israel. It’s not that hard to understand.

If a multipolar world will be truly independent of imperialism and show more equity we can’t ignore genocide. And we sure as hell can’t have relationships with a demonic genocidal entity like Israel. That’s not hurting the Palestinian cause but helping it and hello any notion of a coming different paradigm.

I don’t agree with these statements here. Get your firm ideology out of the way and look at reality. Some of the left are blinded by the need to fit their ideology by creating alternate realities that don’t exist.

It is generally a waste of time to have to debunk anything, and it is not worth going into detail.

The Gaza genocide report

Par : amarynth

From Sputnik

The Gaza genocide report gives the UN the right to intervene militarily to stop Israel – former UN official

A UN inquiry has concluded that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza.
https://www.ohchr.org/sites/default/files/documents/hrbodies/hrcouncil/sessions-regular/session60/advance-version/a-hrc-60-crp-3.pdf

Ex-UN rapporteur Dr. Alfred de Zayas explains why that’s hugely important.

👉Key findings

Israel’s actions (killing, maiming, causing mental harm to Palestinians, deliberately inflicting conditions of life calculated to bring about their physical destruction, taking measures to prevent births) check four of five of the 1948 Genocide Convention’s criteria for genocide.

👉Intent proven

Crucially, de Zayas says, the inquiry shows “how the statements of Israeli political & military leaders prove the ‘intent’ (required in Art. II of the Convention) to destroy in whole or part the Palestinian population.”

👉West’s complicity

“Governments that have provided military, economic, political, diplomatic & propagandistic support” are also accountable, de Zayas says. The US, UK, France & Germany “are all complicit in the genocide under Article III (e) of the Genocide Convention.”

👉UN’s response options

⚫recognition of Palestinian statehood (which alas, “will not save the lives of Palestinians”)
⚫Israel’s expulsion from the UN pursuant to Article 6 of the UN Charter (improbable given the need for Security Council & hence US approval)
⚫stripping Israeli diplomats of UN accreditation, as was done against South Africa in the 1970s during Apartheid. Crucially, this measure would not require Security Council backing
⚫the UN has the legal framework to intervene using the 2005 ‘Responsibility to Protect’ doctrine
⚫the General Assembly could adopt a ‘Uniting for Peace’ resolution authorizing nations “to take military action” to stop the genocide, bypassing the Security Council veto

👉UN’s last chance to save its credibility

“If the United Nations fails” to take action, “it will lose the little authority & credibility it still has,” de Zayas warns.

Keep talking about Gaza!

The previous threat contains Netanyahu’s spiritual needs.

The pressure on Israel continues.  It is only this type of pressure across the world that will work, in the absence of UN Security Council action.

-Greek unions are reportedly gearing up for a protest against the Israeli cruise ship Crown Iris, scheduled to dock at the port of Piraeus on Thursday. The All-Workers Militant Front (PAME) announced, “The cruise ship carrying Israeli soldiers is not welcome! It should turn back!

-The Hind Rajab Foundation (HRF) and the Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) said they will file a joint complaint to the International Criminal Court (ICC) over Israel’s killing of six Palestinian journalists in a targeted and deliberate attack on Sunday.  They are urging the court to move beyond expressions of concern and take immediate legal action.

-UN Secretary-General António Guterres warns Israel will be listed in the upcoming UN report on sexual violence in Palestine, citing credible evidence of abuse by Israeli forces in prisons. Israel is placed in “warning” category ahead of report.

-Authorities in Gaza say the Israeli military is desperately and pathetically attempting to cover up internationally documented crimes and the systematic starvation of the population across the blockaded Palestinian territory.

-European airline ground staff refuse to work in Israel: ‘We won’t return until genocide ends’

-Days ahead of Brussels Airlines’ planned resumption of flights to Tel Aviv’s Ben-Gurion Airport, ground staff have demanded the suspension of the route for moral reasons, citing genocide in Gaza and the West Bank.

-Meanwhile, French baggage handler company Alyzia has announced a full boycott of Israeli carriers, refusing to handle their flights in solidarity with Palestinians.

-More than 100 former members of the European Parliament (MEPs) representing various political factions have jointly condemned the continuous starvation of the civilian population in Gaza as a “war crime,” calling for the complete suspension of the EU’s Association Agreement with Israel

-Palestinian resistance fighters in Gaza continue to fight fiercely against the invading Israeli troops.  Al-Quds and other brigades are fighting fiercely.

Much of the European action is sickeningly self-serving, but in my view, anything that keeps the pressure mounting is good.  We may see a twist in this tale, though, as it is self-serving.  It does help to tumble the Israeli carefully constructed meme of innocence and defending itself.   Every Israeli now knows that they are hated and will be hated in the world, as long as they survive.  Countering so-called anti-semitism is not working for them any longer.  Nobody cares about being anti-semite, but rather we care about not supporting genocide.

Videos and more videos

No, I won’t post them all but I took a little time and caught up with The Judge and there is nothing there that we don’t know.

We are as a principle trying to post more content from outside the US, and not just the US weekly cycle. We are watching an empire fall. In the usual cyclical videos from those that we all know, I get the impression that people are understanding we are on the brink of a larger war and this really may happen. There is a nervousness and a helplessness. It is not easy to assess if we will have an economic crash first, or an empirical crash first, in the states and countries where the empire finds itself.

So, I saw that Tucker Carlson interviewed the Gaza Whistleblower, Tony Aguilar and took a look. Tony is an American, still thinking that the US is the greatest and that the US should help because it is in their nature to help. Thye “we are the good guys” trope. The normal story of perhaps a deluded American, but a good and proficient soldier until he took his discharge after 25 years of excellent service and settled down with his family.

He is the man who took most of the photos and videos that we saw of Palestinians being killed at food distribution points, since the US, under the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, took over that function. Did you know for example that Gazans don’t get water at the few distribution points, because it is too expensive. His story is fascinating and also very disturbing, although he is not trying to make something out of it and did not set out to look for media coverage and attention. He is just telling what happened because it has to change in his view. If you have time, do watch it. It is an hour and a half long, but it does feel as if it is much longer. Tony is obviously a leader and an organizer from military training and can assess what is wrong. He gives the impression that he has morals and ethics in the right places. It is a shocking story but it connects many dots. We may know that Netanyahu stated that the will fully occupy Gaza. Tony describes what will happen under an occupation regime. It left me exhausted but in among the weekly cyclical videos, this changes things.

New aid for Gaza: Illusionary performance art

Par : amarynth

Featured Image: Meet the ‘Rulers of Starvation’ — Arab leaders whose silence and complicity have helped tighten the siege on Gaza, starving their own brothers while shaking hands with the occupier.

The arrangement was that Israel would allow aid into Gaza in daily periods from 10pm to 8am and fire would cease. Netanyahu’s cabinet is in a mad rage, and he keeps announcing to them that he is forced to allow ‘just a little’ aid into Gaza, and when possible, he will stop this again. This world, and I mean the whole world, is allowing a clear genocide to play out in front of our eyes.

The perpetrators are proud of it. They are proud of the many ways that they have and use to demolish a living civilization in our world. They announce it with relish.

It is an industry to convince the world that this evil is all powerful and no resistance can stand against it.

Francesca Albanese exposed the theatrical industry and was subsequently sanctioned, making her life exceedingly difficult. Chris Hedges documented The Persecution of Francesca Albanese. In Gaza, horror persists in outdoing its own darkest iterations.
In Gaza, even horror has learned to horrify anew.
In Gaza, horror deepens beyond its own grim precedents and defies comprehension..

=====================================

From Vanessa Beeley

It is not only Muslim nations – it is the entire world governance that has done little more than ‘condemn’ and wring their hands in faux horror while they continue to benefit from trade and economic collaboration with the Zionist genocidal entity. And that includes the so-called BRICS power camp – China, Russia, India, all of which are guilty of political passivity over the genocide that is being carried out while they sign deals with the Zionist entity’s bloodied enterprises. This is the historic test of Humanity, and every single regime, apart from the very few, is failing dismally and condemning Gaza to death.

This is true, and we have to bear this in mind while we enthusiastically support our BRICS efforts.

Airdropped Aid:

It was minuscule. Roll the cameras!  “UAE and Jordan drop 25 tons of food, water and medical supplies into Gaza.  Airdrops coordinated with Israel and US.”

So, where is it?

The aid was dropped in cases on tents and injured even more. The aid was dropped in areas designated as unsafe, where people are not permitted to enter.  We saw in the footage the beautiful photos of assistance aid hanging on parachutes, lazily dropping against the blue skies, but we seldom saw the aid falling on tents or people.  The world is again in a state of condemnation.  The Zionists love it, as they again have the opportunity to send their message of control.   “No resistance can stand against our evil!”

Aid by Truck:

Minimal aid was allowed to enter Gaza. There are different numbers of trucks announced, but this is a result of when the report was written. A maximum of 100 trucks were allowed to enter the Zionist area from the entry point in Egypt for inspection.  From that moment onwards, under the eyes of zionist soldiers, it was looted by the headchopper ISIS-type gang that the zionists allowed in, for this purpose and to continue the propaganda that Hamas loots the aid.  According to aid organizations, it is estimated that 600 trucks are necessary.

Only a few boxes of aid and bags of flour reached the Gazans, who were still being massacred at collection points.

DD Geopolitics:

Trump said that nobody said thank you to him for his 6 million dollars worth of aid that went to the killer squads at his aid stations. Trump reminded the world that “no other country gave anything” to Gaza, except, of course, the ONE AND ONLY OUR SAVIOUR, the United States of America, which benevolently donated $60 million for food.  Never mind the decades of blockades, weapons, and unwavering support for the Israeli occupation; that $60 million makes it all better. You’re welcome, Gaza!

UNRWA Communications Director Juliette Touma:

“If the gates to Gaza were open, the UN could bring in 500–600 trucks a day, loaded with food, medicine, hygiene supplies, to reach those who need them most.”

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi:

“The Rafah border crossing [with Gaza] is designated for individuals and its operation requires approval from the party occupying the other side.”

El-Sisi, you are complicit.  You can open those gates.  The ‘party on the other side’ is a genocidaire.  There is extreme famine.  You are as complicit as the rest of the world, and that makes you guilty of genocide.   At the time of Pol Pot, Vietnam stepped in with military power, and this is the only action that stopped Pol Pot.  I am not saying you have to open the gates militarily, I am saying you have to open the gates!  International Law is with you, and your own people are now in a state of foment, because of the moral depth of shame that they have to carry.

Trump conveniently forgets about the supply of food and aid, in trucks in Egypt, which the international community paid for through UNRWA.  He also forgets that the starvation in Gaza started with a siege against life by the zionists and the killings at aid stations were done under his watch, with his soldiers in cahoots with the IDF soldiers.

While the Zionist regime promotes the illusion of aid corridors and tactical pauses, journalists and humanitarian organizations on the ground confirm the reality: trucks from Egypt and Jordan have been blocked from reaching the devastated heart of Gaza. Airdropped aid remains minimal—nothing more than a performative gesture—as over two million Palestinians endure a famine deliberately inflicted through siege and starvation.

For us who chronicle, who tell a story that can only be told in small capsules in order to maintain our own spirit, we who resist, we are at a moment where we have to resist the corrosive anger and hatred taking residence in our beings.  We know that to allow that would be to become the evil.  The contemptible, despicable Netanyahu still announces firmly:  ‘There is no starvation in Gaza, no policy of starvation in Gaza’, while we saw this policy start and play out right in front of us, and we hear his cabinet expressing that policy daily.  These ‘rulers of genocide’ kill multitudes and treat you and me with contempt.

Today I apologise and will take a break from this thread.

People ask what they can do? People want to put themselves into this bodily. For myself, I sometimes just struggle to eat and cannot look at my food, as I want to stretch right across the ocean and give it to Gaza. But we have to remain healthy as we have to continue testifying.

I looked at the statistics for this thread, i.e., how many read it, and find that we get around 10,000 views per month. These are not the regulars but what they call unique visitors. So on the average the rate is that +- 10,000 new sets of eyes look at this thread. It is a big number for us. Looking at the locales, i.e., where the viewers come from, it is quite a surprise. We even have viewers from Burkina Faso – a whole 11 of them, so far this month. You are so welcome!

What we can do, is to continue testifying. I know there are not many comments here, because it breaks one. Some days in my routine work, I put this last because it is so heartbreaking that I cannot continue. But if you can continue commenting, this will encourage all of those +- 10,000 new incoming eyes to not forget about Gaza.

Special security sources report that prominent Syrian officials, including Julani, left the capital Damascus in recent hours, heading toward Idlib province or Latakia, accompanied by their families and some relatives. The operation was reportedly carried out at the direct request and coordination of the Turkish side. Al Mayadeen confirms that Syrian ‘President’ Ahmed al-Sharaa has left Damascus with his family—just hours after an alleged Israeli assassination operation targeted three top officials in the Transitional Administration, including Defense Minister Marhaf Abu Qasra.

Vanessa Beeley: “Turkey will maintain control in the north through the Syrian National Army but will not be allowed to expand into central Syria. Russia and France will come to a deal on the management of the coast area in cooperation with Israel. The situation is fluid and I will update as more information comes in and I can add any developments to the analysis .

One thing is for sure, the more Israel over-extends, the greater the opportunity for the Resistance.”

Sources expect the pace of the attacks to gradually decline starting tomorrow. The latest is that the head of Turkish Intelligence has made a deal with Israel to de-escalate.

The situation is very fluid. Bear in mind the Druze consists of different tribes with different allegiances. It is not one cohesive group that can be protected by Israel .. Israel with US support says it is protecting the Druze. If you believe that, then there is a bridge in Brooklyn that you may buy for cheap! It really is an insult to all the rest of the world that have been watching these long +- 20 months and all the previous Gaza ‘haircuts’.

Basically the whole world condemned Israel yesterday in the UN and the UNSC for their attacks but this is simply part of building the Greater Israel. Israel acts with complete impunity.

Predictably Syria is disintegrating and US intelligence agencies are very pleased to see the fruits of their “work” come to fruition.

Gaza wakes up each day to the pain of hunger, and bread remains a distant dream in a homeland wilting under the fire of occupation and starvation.

Yesterday, 12 countries announced their commitment to a full arms embargo on the Israeli government. Anglo-Zionist Savagery is Relentless

Par : AHH

Leader of Ansar Allah, Abdul-Malik Badreddin al-Houthi, on the developments of the Israeli aggression on Gaza and the latest regional and international updates – 22 Muharram 1447 AH, July 17, 2025:

The Israeli enemy continues the genocide against the Palestinian people and seeks to accumulate its criminal record.

  • The Israeli enemy persists in the comprehensive destruction and total uprooting of cities and residential neighborhoods, cutting off the Gaza Strip and demolishing all elements of life.
  • The genocide of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip is a clear objective of the Israeli enemy, and its daily criminal behavior reveals this truth.
  • The genocide is a joint Israeli-American goal, and the criminal practices affect the entire society in Gaza.
  • The Israeli enemy has annihilated entire families, erasing them from civil registries, and the birth rate this year has dropped by 41% compared to the previous year.
  • The overall population in the Gaza Strip has decreased by 10%, which is a very serious result that reveals the extent of Israeli atrocities.

The Israeli enemy is using American bombs intensively, perhaps even more than firing bullets, and the Americans supply them in continuous shipments.

  • The significant momentum in American support for these bombs and other military equipment, as well as the daily bombings, relies on substantial funding.
  • It is very unfortunate that Arab funds are among the main sources of financing for bombs when they go to the Americans in trillions under the title of investments.
  • For Arab money to be a key contributor and one of the most important sources of funding for the killing of the Palestinian people is a very dangerous participation in shedding Palestinian blood.

The aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza is almost an American aggression before it is Israeli, with the Israeli role being that of execution.

  • America provides open support and participates in planning and intelligence, as well as supplying military equipment under a clear political cover.
  • The American position in the Security Council yesterday confirmed the continuation of support for the Israeli genocide against the Palestinian people.
  • One form of American support for the Israeli enemy is pressuring many countries to remain silent or even to provide various types of support to the Israeli enemy.
  • The genocide against the Palestinian people and what happened in Lebanon and other Arab countries, including Syria, was with American participation.
  • The American role is not merely a matter of the harsh character of an American president or a temporary or tactical action.
  • Everything the Israeli enemy does is adopted, supported, and shared by the Americans.

The Americans endorse everything the Israeli enemy does and support and share it because they both operate based on the belief in the Zionist agenda.

  • The Americans and Israelis operate based on the literature of the Zionist plan and its aggressive ideas and visions toward the nation.
  • The Americans and Israelis are working to confiscate the freedom of the nation, its independence, its sacred sites, to erase its identity, and to occupy its lands.

The view towards the Americans should be based on insight and awareness grounded in the Holy Quran and clear, established facts.

  • The American behavior is aggressive to the extent of fully endorsing what the Israeli enemy does, providing all forms of support and participation.
  • The true and ongoing American approach towards the nation has been aggressive at a strategic level, not merely tactical.
  • The American position stems from a clear and declared belief in the Zionist ideology, and they operate on the basis of implementing the Zionist agenda.

The prevailing attitude among Arab and Islamic regimes, as well as in most media outlets, is to present the Americans in a different light, as if there is still hope for them to change their position.

  • Some people bet on the possibility that the American stance may change in favor of the nation, thus leading them to resort to the Americans and lean into their embrace.
  • If the criminal and aggressive American behavior is not clear enough to understand the nature of its approach and the basis of that approach, that is indeed very unfortunate.
  • Failing to recognize the truths about the Americans and the real backgrounds of their position towards the nation signifies a severe confusion and extreme ignorance.
  • The ambiguity in categorizing the enemy as a friend in matters that are crystal clear is a foolishness that has very dangerous and devastating consequences for many in the nation.

The Israelis and Americans have no regard for human life, which, in their view, is permissible for the sake of desire or interest.

  • The indifference of peoples and nations to what the Israelis and Americans are doing is a disregard for human life and a bankruptcy of values and human emotions.
  • If a person reaches a point where the crimes committed by the Israeli enemy do not move their feelings, it means they have lost their human value.
  • Human value lies in what God has bestowed upon humanity in their nature, including values, knowledge, wisdom, understanding, and the ability to distinguish between good and evil.
  • Anyone who accepts what the Israeli enemy, with American partnership, is doing against the Palestinian people is consenting to the dominance of criminal behavior in our region.

The Israeli enemy targets Gaza’s inhabitants by depriving them of water and turns the issue of obtaining drinking water into an adventure.

  • The Israeli enemy prevents the entry of fuel into the Gaza Strip, which the Palestinian people need to provide drinking water, operate wells, and run hospitals.
  • The Israeli enemy continues all means of extermination and killing.
  • The Israeli enemy keeps cutting off the Gaza Strip, and this week it opened a new front and a path that separates the eastern part of Khan Younis from the western part.
  • The Israeli enemy continues to sever the region and separate one area from another while continuously destroying and leveling land.
  • The Israeli enemy has even brought in contractors to complete the demolition of what remains of buildings and homes, while the Americans continuously supply them with shipments of bulldozers.

The policy of pushing towards loyalty to the American side and relying on it leads to significant distortions in orientations, morals, and values at the expense of the principles of Islam.

  • One of the most atrocious and foolish forms of ignorance is to turn a blind eye to clear facts, as is the case with American aggression.
  • Engineering hunger and traps of extermination are aggressive activities, but under American and Israeli terminology, they are labeled as humanitarian activities.
  • The staggering numbers of martyrs, wounded, and missing persons in the Gaza Strip exceed 200,000 human beings over the course of 643 days.
  • The scene of Israeli aggression in Gaza is unparalleled and represents the most severe forms of injustice.

Many of the people of our Islamic Ummah, more than other nations, behave as if they are deaf, dumb, and blind to what is happening in the Gaza Strip.

  • The condition of the Ummah regarding what is happening in Gaza reflects a death of consciences and human feelings, as well as a loss of values, morals, and faith.
  • What the Israeli enemy is doing in Gaza — completely violating human lives — is a crime against the human community.
  • The Jews are excessive even in shedding blood, and the world sees them without restraint; they do not adhere to any controls or respect international law established by the West.
  • The Jews do not give any regard to the United Nations charters that recognized them, which is one of its greatest crimes.
  • The Israeli enemy denies the sacred law, values, ethics, and customs, and does not adhere to any of the moral values or regulatory frameworks.

Statement by Permanent Representative Vassily Nebenzia at a UNSC Briefing on the Humanitarian Situation in the Gaza Strip

Mr. President,

We thank Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Tom Fletcher and UNICEF executive director Catherine Russell for their briefings – they have exposed the true scale of the ongoing tragedy affecting civilians in the Gaza Strip. With each passing day, the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip is hitting new grim records.

People of the enclave are living under the conditions of a major humanitarian catastrophe, they are facing unfathomable deprivation and starvation, which is killing both adults and children. At the same time, despite all the active efforts by humanitarian agencies, which enjoy virtually unanimous support from UNSC members, the humanitarian aid – which essentially is something that all residents of the enclave heavily depend on – is being provided in extremely limited quantities, which are clearly not commensurate with the scale of the disaster.

The situation is rapidly deteriorating amid a critical shortage of fuel needed to keep vital infrastructure operational. Without it, hospitals, water supply systems, and food distribution centers could be completely paralyzed, which would jeopardize the lives of hundreds of thousands of civilians. We are particularly alarmed by the reports of a possible stoppage of water desalination plants. It is unacceptable that the people of Gaza, especially children, be left without access to drinking water. The collapse of the water supply system could also lead to outbreaks of contagious diseases, which would further exacerbate the humanitarian situation.

Mr. President,

The ongoing ground operations by the IDF and artillery shelling throughout the Gaza Strip are creating truly intolerable conditions for the civilian population. We strongly condemn the attacks that have killed and injured civilians. Of particular concern is the consistent and clear nature of the strikes, which are targeting locations where people congregate to get food, including distribution centers. According to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, since the end of May, at least 798 Palestinians have been killed in the enclave while attempting to access humanitarian assistance.

We note with particular concern the increasing number of casualties near centers related to the “The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF),” which – as many of us warned in this chamber – turned out to be a mechanism that, instead of addressing humanitarian needs, is increasingly becoming a symbol of both the humiliation of human dignity and threats to the lives of those in need of assistance. Hundreds of Palestinians killed while trying to get help are a grim reminder of this. The way this system works may pose danger to those seeking help and is morally unacceptable. We’re sure that the UN Secretariat made the right and responsible decision not to be part of this punitive action which is carried out under the guise of a humanitarian operation. We would like to remind you that just recently, more than 200 non-governmental organizations issued a joint appeal urging to stop this bloody militarized mechanism that offers Palestinians choose between two evils: to die either of starvation or waiting in line for food assistance.

Unfortunately, Israel and the US appear to continue to believe that this is an effective mechanism – they are bragging about the millions of food parcels that have been allegedly handed to civilians rather than to Hamas. These claims are controversial, to say the least, and are not borne out by what is going on the ground. One thing is clear: if Israel had facilitated rather than impeded UN humanitarian aid deliveries, there would have been at least a glimmer of hope that the humanitarian crisis could be alleviated. Today, however, we have no hopes whatsover, and the mass collective punishment of Palestinians in violation of basic IHL continues before our very eyes.

Mr. President,

We are shocked by the recent attack on civilians in Deir al-Balah – people were trying to receive food aid provided by UNICEF. Dozens of people were killed and wounded as the result of this attack. Among those killed are nine Palestinian children. On July 13, seven more children were killed in the Nuseirat camp while waiting in line for water at a humanitarian distribution center, according to the UN. These tragedies are becoming a new frightening normality. We strongly condemn the killing of innocent civilians who were only seeking vital assistance. Such attacks undermine the very possibility of saving human lives and constitute a gross violation of international humanitarian law.

Alongside the crackdown on humanitarian workers and journalists covering events in Gaza, a genuine witch hunt has been launched against UN agencies that are deemed to be undesirable. This primarily concerns UNRWA, which is an agency that for many decades has been providing support to Palestinians in the areas of humanitarian assistance, education, and healthcare. Its uninterrupted and consistent work is essential for the survival of millions of Palestinians living not only in the Gaza Strip but also, as is well known, in neighboring countries that have taken in refugees. We would like to emphasize that there has never been and cannot be any alternative to UNRWA. Along with UNRWA and the UN Secretary-General, what has also faced criticism are the relevant special procedures of the UN Human Rights Council. Such actions are inconsistent with the obligations of UN Member States, and they do violate the UN Charter and the Convention on the Privileges and Immunities.

This situation requires the strongest international response. Protecting and providing for civilians in the occupied Palestinian territories is Israel’s duty as the occupying power, and it’s not for Israel’s leaders to decide if it’s okay or not. We insist that civilians’ safety be guaranteed whatever it takes. Unfortunately, all attempts by the international community to achieve even a minimal compliance with basic principles of humanity and human dignity are met with the all-out support of its ally, Washington, which has given West Jerusalem carte blanche to take any action against the Palestinians.

Mr. President,

If anyone thinks that the situation in Gaza simply cannot get any worse, they are most likely mistaken. According to the information we have, including from official Israeli sources, West Jerusalem is drafting a new plan to transfer 600,000 Palestinians to a so-called “humanitarian city” in Rafah, south of the Morag military corridor. The goal is to eventually concentrate the entire two million population of the enclave there, after checking whether they have ties to Hamas. UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini has already described the plan as “the de facto creation of a mass concentration camp, whose Palestinian inhabitants will be deprived of any prospects for the future.” We would like to note that former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert shares this assessment, calling the initiative part of the Netanyahu government’s overall campaign of ethnic cleansing and deportation of Palestinians. It would be important to learn how OCHA or UNICEF assess this initiative.

Mr. President,

Unfortunately, the problems of the Palestinian people are not limited to Gaza. We are extremely alarmed by the situation in the West Bank, where intensified Israeli operations are reported, especially in the northern areas. The actions of West Jerusalem may result in widespread destruction, exacerbated humanitarian crisis and displaced families losing any hope to return to their homes. We regularly receive reports of killings and violence against Palestinians, seizures of their land and demolitions of their homes. This is unacceptable. We call on Israel to immediately cease violence in the occupied Palestinian territory, guarantee the protection of civilians, and not impede the delivery of humanitarian assistance to civilians, who need it more than ever. It is also necessary to stop the expansion and construction of settlements and put an end to provocations by settlers, who pointedly humiliate the honor and dignity of Palestinians.

Mr. President,

We have all reiterated on numerous occasions in this Chamber that as long as the military operation by the IDF is ongoing, it would be impossible to ensure unimpeded humanitarian access to all those in need in the enclave. Furthermore, it is clear to all of us that rescuing the hostages held in Gaza through the use of force has proven ineffective. In this regard, we would like to once again call on the parties to swiftly reach a ceasefire agreement, with the assistance of mediators, which would lead to the release and exchange of all forcibly detained persons. At the same time, in order for the Israeli authorities to finally lift the blockade of the sector, Washington must renounce its unconditional support for Jerusalem, stop covering up its violations of international humanitarian law, and use its leverage to stabilize the situation. We are convinced that there is no alternative to this scenario and that cannot be any. This is the only way to break the vicious circle of violence and restart the Middle East peace process on the basis of the two-state solution, the ultimate goal of which is the creation of an independent Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, coexisting in peace and security with Israel. The long years of Arab-Israeli confrontation prove that there is no other peaceful scenario for the Middle East, nor can there ever be.

In this context, we welcome the intention of Saudi Arabia and France to hold a high-level international conference in support of the two-state formula to be held at the end of this month (July 28-30) in New York. We plan to actively engage in this conference.

Thank you for your attention.

Let’s post this again to illustrate the Zionazi perspective on international law.  You may say it’s gross, and indeed, it is; however, it’s accurate and valid for most.  A recent positive action by Israeli youth was a protest where they burned their draft cards and refused to go to war.  This is not the Haredim, often referred to as ultra-orthodox, who refuse to take part in war for strict religious reasons.   We may differ with the UNSC on a two-state solution.  In reality, this may be the only action that will work, to put the Israelis currently in the occupied territories under Palestinian authority.  See how they run ..

We’ve also had reporting on where the IDF soldiers run to, as they are clearly guilty of war crimes and are now more frequently arrested when found in other countries.  They have an open sesame from Argentina, where Milei welcomes them.  Those who know the history will recall that Argentina is the country where German Nazi’s fled to in order to escape legal consequences for their actions.  The terminology ‘zionazi’ is thus the best we have today.

Furthermore, the consequences worldwide are becoming increasingly severe.  The Hague Group conference in Bogota, Colombia, has just concluded.  Two dozen countries agreed to six measures to “restrain Israel’s assault on the Occupied Palestinian Territories”.  In stark contrast, the EU also had a meeting, where they refused to suspend their Association Agreement with Israel.   Updates will be provided in a separate post, as much information on the ICC and the sanctions against its officials with fully made-up sexual harassment allegations is now also being released.

Noxious evil stews in those pots.

‘Concentration camp’: Israel’s planned new city in Rafah, explained

Par : amarynth

What we know about Israel Katz’s ‘humanitarian city’, how it seeks to realise Trump’s ethnic cleansing plan and what international legal experts think

From Middle East Eye

Israel Katz is calling it a “humanitarian city”, from which Palestinians will be encouraged to “voluntarily emigrate” out of Gaza.

But analysts believe the Israeli defence minister, who unveiled plans this week to confine over two million Palestinians into a small area in southern Gaza, is using distorted language.

Experts in genocide and international law say the “humanitarian city” is more akin to a concentration camp. And any talk of “voluntary emigration”, they told Middle East Eye, should actually be read as forcible displacement.

The proposals are not fringe discussions. They were revealed by Katz, and appear to have the backing of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Here, we break down what we know about the plan, how it relates to months-long US and Israeli rhetoric of ejecting Palestinians from Gaza, and what the international legal implications are.

What do we know about the ‘humanitarian city’ plan?

Katz said the plan would initially involve the ejection of 600,000 displaced Palestinians currently living in camps and makeshift homes in the al-Mawasi area of southern Gaza to an area in the ruins of Rafah city.

Once they arrive in this new zone, security screenings would take place. They won’t be allowed to leave once they’ve entered, Katz said.

Eventually, the entire civilian population of over two million in Gaza would be confined to this small “city”.

Four aid distribution centres are to be established within the area.

The defence minister initially said that Israeli forces would secure the perimeter of the site, but would not run it. He said Israel was seeking international partners to manage the city.

However, an Israeli official told Haaretz that Israel may run the area “for the time being”.

The official said that Netanyahu thinks that if Israel doesn’t manage the zone in the short term, “no one will volunteer on their own accord to take control over the humanitarian matter, and Hamas will simply continue to rule”.

The source added that the prime minister believed that countries like Saudi Arabia and the UAE would then be incentivised to take over Israeli control of the area, “without being considered collaborators with Israel”.

There is no evidence that Saudi Arabia, the UAE, or any other country in the region has expressed a desire to be involved in the plans.

Katz said that once concentrated in the new city, Palestinians would be encouraged to “voluntarily” leave the Gaza Strip for other countries, as part of an “emigration plan” he said “will happen”.

He added that Netanyahu was leading efforts to find countries to take in Palestinians from Gaza.

There is not yet a clear indication as to when construction for such a new city would begin, or if it could go ahead without international backing.

Katz envisaged that if conditions permitted, the city would be built during a two-month pause in hostilities. Such a ceasefire is being negotiated between Israel and Hamas, via intermediaries, but is far from being agreed.

What does international law say?

The planned city will violate multiple provisions of international humanitarian law (IHL), according to Eitan Diamond, a Jerusalem-based senior legal expert at the Diakonia International Humanitarian Law Centre.

He said that in accordance with the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949, populations in occupied territories “shall at all times be humanely treated”, and may only exceptionally be placed under assigned residence or internment when there are “imperative reasons of security”.

“A blanket decision to enclose hundreds of thousands of people in a concentration camp or zone clearly falls well outside the lawful exception and would entail an unlawful deprivation of liberty in breach of IHL and of human rights law,” Diamond told Middle East Eye.

The Fourth Geneva Convention also states that mass transfers of people from an occupied territory are prohibited.

‘Third countries that willingly take part in the crime would be complicit in the violation of the law’

– Neve Gordon, Israeli expert on international law

“Compelling residents of the occupied territory to move from their homes to another part of the occupied territory would constitute a prohibited act of forcible transfer,” said Diamond.

In relation to Katz’s “emigration plan”, Diamond added that compelling the population to leave the occupied territory altogether to move to another country “would constitute an act of deportation”.

“Both are grave breaches of the Geneva Conventions, implicating those responsible in the commission of a war crime.”

He added that when such acts are committed as part of a systematic attack against a civilian population, which appears to be the case in Gaza, it implicates those responsible in the crime against humanity of deportation or forcible transfer.

IHL permits warring parties to temporarily transfer civilian populations for humanitarian reasons, however they must be allowed to return to their homes.

“These are often called ‘safe zones’, ‘safe areas’, ‘buffer zones’, and ‘safe humanitarian zones’,” Neve Gordon, an Israeli professor of international law and human rights at Queen Mary University of London, told MEE.

“What Katz is proposing is a ‘humanitarian concentration camp’, which is a very different story.”

Diamond said that a warring party cannot move a population to avoid risks being caused by that same warring party. As such, he said, Israel’s plan to displace hundreds of thousands of people into a very tight area could not be characterised as a lawful evacuation.

“On the contrary, such actions would almost certainly amount to an act of ethnic cleansing.”
Is the emigration plan really ‘voluntary’?

The short answer is no.

Katz’s “emigration plan” is a manifestation of US President Donald Trump’s proposal to ethnically cleanse the enclave.

Trump said in February that Washington would “take over” the Gaza Strip and eject the Palestinian population to other countries. In the meantime, the enclave would be turned into the “Riviera of the Middle East”.

Katz has been a cheerleader for these plans for months. In March, he announced a new government agency set up to oversee “voluntary departures” in compliance with Trump’s proposal.

‘Concentrating the civilian population in the way Israel proposes is clearly an act of genocide’

– Martin Shaw, sociologist

“The phrase ‘voluntary emigration’ has long been used in Zionist ideology as a euphemism for expelling the Palestinian people from their homeland, including by creating coercive conditions that compel the natives to leave,” Nimer Sultany, a Palestinian academic in public law at Soas University in London, told MEE.

Sultany noted that Katz had long threatened Palestinians with another Nakba, having made such remarks in 2022 before the ongoing war.

The Nakba, or “catastrophe”, refers to the forced displacement of 750,000 Palestinians from their ancestral homes in 1948.

“There is nothing voluntary about any emigration scheme that Israel devises in these circumstances,” Martin Shaw, a prominent sociologist and author of several books on the subject of genocide, told MEE.

“The people of Gaza have been bombed out of their homes, lost their loved ones, starved and shot at when they try to get food.

“Israel will be using all this cruelty to force people to leave, and to remove their right to return as they have from previous generations of Palestinians.”

Diamond said that it is well established under IHL that forcible displacements can be brought about by a coercive environment.

“When a party creates conditions that compel people to move to avert conditions that threaten their lives or wellbeing, their decision to move is not a genuine choice,” he said.

“This is no more voluntary than the decision of a person who hands over their wallet to a gun robber saying ‘your money or your life.’”

So far, Israel has failed to find any countries willing to take displaced Palestinians from Gaza.

“Given that Israel’s actions and future plans are blatantly illegal and constitute war crimes, third countries that willingly take part in the crime would be complicit in the violation of the law,” said Gordon.

The UN said on Wednesday that it stood firmly against any such plans to forcibly displace those in Gaza.

How is the ‘city’ being described by experts?

Many legal experts, including one of Britain’s most distinguished human rights lawyers, have said the plans are synonymous with concentration camps.

Sultany noted that the plans involve a starving population being “concentrated” into a tiny site and being prevented from leaving.

“In other words, the civilian population has no choice, and they will be placed in a prison or a ghetto that Israel controls,” he stated. “This is the definition of a concentration camp.”

He said that Israel had already concentrated Palestinians in less than 20 percent of Gaza, and imposed conditions on them “that bring about their physical destruction”.

“The evidence that Israel has been committing a genocide is overwhelming,” Sultany said.

Shaw, author of War and Genocide, What is Genocide and Genocide and International Relations, agreed.

“Concentrating the civilian population in the way Israel proposes is clearly an act of genocide,” he said.

He added that Katz’s proposal was designed to “consolidate the results” of Israeli killings over the past 21 months by heading towards “removing the survivors so as to complete the destruction of Palestinian society in Gaza”.

“The destruction of a society is, of course, the very meaning of genocide.”

Israel ‘disappeared’ nearly 400,000 Palestinians in Gaza

That is wise council and let us do that as a new report is out from Harvard. You may remember the previous report from the Lancet. We need to very quickly get our attention on the whole war. While shooting between Iran and Israel has declined to a trickle, although the fingers are on the trigger, Gaza is still being massacred and so is the West Bank. Israel still shoots and raids into Lebanon as they choose. Syria has turned into a cesspit of violence. The war against Russia is still being fed so that it does not stop raging. In reality, nothing has changed and the plan toward regime change is still in full swing.

What has changed and it is enormous, is that one of our Global South countries showed a willingness and ability to fight. Thank-you Iran! Thank-you supporters of Iran! Despite criticism, you have stepped into the shoes of a leader for the Global South. You’ve given us hope, a stronger resolve and a knowledge that we are not helpless.

The Cradle has the details:

A new report published by the Harvard database reveals that Israel has “disappeared” at least 377,000 Palestinians since the start of its genocidal campaign against the Gaza Strip in 2023.

Half of this number is believed to be Palestinian children.

The report was written by Israeli professor Yaakov Garb, who used data-driven analysis and spatial mapping to show how the Israeli army’s siege of Gaza and indiscriminate attacks on civilians in the enclave have led to a serious drop in its population.

The 377,000 Palestinians who are unaccounted for due to Israel’s genocide are approximately 17 percent of the Gaza Strip’s entire population, which now stands at about 1.85 million. Prior to the war in Gaza, the strip’s population was estimated at 2.227 million.

While some are displaced or missing, a significant number are believed to have been killed by Israeli forces, according to the report.

The professor notes that the official death toll of 61,000 is clearly an underestimate, as victims who remain trapped under rubble are not included.

Garb also condemned in the report the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) – a controversial US-Israeli aid distribution mechanism launched last month.

“These aid compounds seem to reflect a logic of control, not assistance, and it would be a misnomer to call them ‘humanitarian aid distribution hubs’. They do not adhere to humanitarian principles, and much of their design and operation is guided by other objectives, which undermine their declared purpose,” he said.

The UN has accused GHF of being designed to further the forced displacement. Since it began operations, GHF has led to the deaths of hundreds of Palestinian aid seekers by Israeli forces.

The Harvard report is not the first indication that the death toll in Gaza could, in fact, be significantly higher than reported.

The Lancet medical journal released a study in January this year revealing that the death toll from Israel’s genocide in Gaza was most likely undercounted by 41 percent in the first nine months of the war.

The January study highlighted that around 59.1 percent of those killed were women, children, and elderly.

The year before, in July 2024, The Lancet said Israel’s assault on Gaza could lead to between 149,000 and 598,000 dead, disappeared, gone.

GAZA: “The enemy makes up for the days of ‘calm’ with mass massacres… and demolition ‘parties.”

Gaza | In retrospect, the “israeli” occupation forces made up for the relative calm that accompanied the early days of the war on Iran, particularly in its targeting of tents housing displaced people and inhabited homes. Yesterday marked the bloodiest day in recent memory, as the courtyards of both Al-Shifa and Al-Ahli Baptist hospitals turned into human slaughterhouses, lined with dozens of martyrs’ bodies that continued to arrive on donkey carts and civilian vehicles.

Piles of mutilated bodies and torn limbs accumulated, arriving successively from the town of Jabalia, where dozens of massacres were committed—most notably the bombing of a residential block consisting of three homes belonging to the Asaliya and Dardouna families. According to local sources, the three homes were completely destroyed, and their roofs collapsed on nearly 100 civilians who were inside. Emergency and rescue crews managed to retrieve only 14 bodies.

In the same neighborhood, the “israeli” army threatened to evacuate dozens of homes on Old Gaza Street. According to resident Khalil Khader, an “israeli” intelligence officer called him and asked him to walk through his neighborhood and shout for all residents to evacuate their homes in preparation for bombing.

Since the beginning of the “Gideon’s Chariots” campaign, the town of Jabalia and the eastern areas of Al-Tuffah neighborhood in eastern Gaza City have been subjected to daily and systematic demolitions. According to eyewitnesses, thousands of homes in eastern Al-Tuffah and Al-Jarn neighborhoods in Jabalia have been leveled to the ground. In addition to using booby-trapped robots, the “israeli” army has employed “israeli” contracting companies with heavy machinery to carry out a single mission: demolition and the destruction of infrastructure—replicating the model used in Rafah and Jabalia refugee camp.

In Al-Shati camp, which is overcrowded with hundreds of thousands of displaced people, the occupation army committed a mass massacre by targeting a popular market, resulting in the deaths of 16 civilians and the injury of dozens. During daylight hours, drones struck dozens of targets in Gaza City to the north and Khan Younis to the south—most of them tents sheltering displaced persons—killing dozens of civilians.

In the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, warplanes bombed an inhabited house, killing five civilians. A civilian vehicle carrying three people was also bombed, killing all passengers instantly.

Meanwhile, “israeli” artillery killed six civilians who were waiting for aid in Khan Younis, in southern Gaza. In Al-Karama neighborhood in northwestern Gaza City, warplanes struck the home of the Zubda family, killing the entire family. Medical teams were unable to extract the bodies from the rubble. According to medical sources, more than 100 martyrs were received by hospitals yesterday, with another 80 still trapped under the rubble—marking the highest death toll recorded since the war on Iran began.

On the humanitarian front, for the third consecutive month, the occupation army continues to sabotage the work of international organizations that distribute aid, restricting food access to either American aid distribution centers or to those who gather along the aid truck routes in the “Netzarim” area in central Gaza and “Zikim” in the north. However, these chaotic methods cause dozens of deaths and injuries among young people daily.

At the American distribution centers, the scene is even more grim and desperate. According to testimony by citizen Moataz Billah Al-Kafarna, the occupation army seizes any opportunity or pretext to open fire or launch projectiles at the crowds—especially if they arrive a few minutes late or slightly early. Al-Kafarna said, “The soldiers started cursing at us and ordering us to move back. When we entered the distribution site, American soldiers fired pepper spray at us.”

This ongoing chaos in distribution methods has led to the rise of organized gangs of merchants who monopolize scarce goods, driving prices to record levels—flour reaching $20 per kilogram, sugar $90, and rice $20. Additionally, all areas of the Gaza Strip have plunged into a severe water crisis, as acute fuel shortages have halted the main wells that supply large swaths of Gaza City and Khan Younis.

Hospitals across the Strip have also sounded the alarm. The “israeli” army has blocked the entry of medical supplies for three months, and the shutdown of facilities in the northern governorate has overwhelmed Al-Shifa and Al-Ahli Baptist hospitals—both operating only partially after the destruction of their key departments.

Is this Benjamin Netanyahu’s most INSANE speech to date?

A rant, but also an update –
KernowDamo:

Transcript:

Right, so the internationally wanted war criminal that is Benjamin Netanyahu has I think just given the speech, made the announcement that will come to define not necessarily how he will be remembered, but how every other government, human rights organisation, NGO and anyone else with a platform will frankly be remembered in the history books when it comes to the question of what did you do to stand against Israel as it commits genocide in Gaza, because there’s no longer an option anymore as to negotiating a ceasefire, no more is there any reasoning with him, for as much as diplomacy should always be the first port of call in any conflict to resolve it, diplomacy only works when both sides can be reasoned with. Benjamin Netanyahu has now declared that this is not him. Sure, many of us will have been of this opinion for a while, but he’s now made explicitly clear, so for anyone still seeking diplomacy, when the time now is for action – sanctions – tough ones on the actual people in power, not just for a handful of settlers, is where we need to start, but the humanitarian military intervention seems now the only course to stop the IDF in their tracks from wiping out the population of Gaza, because you see Benjamin Netanyahu has handed it out his red line to end the genocide and that red line, that demand is the entire ethnic cleansing of Gaza. The implementation of the Trump Plan, the removal of everyone in Gaza is now his clear condition to stop. A war crime, a genocide and he expects the world to deliver, making anyone doing so complicit in his crimes. So the world now has a choice – stop him, or never again, say the words never again, because this is it.

Right, so in a speech that has confirmed the gravest fears of many observers, International war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu has now publicly declared that the only condition under which he would end the ongoing genocide in Gaza is the complete displacement of the entire population of the Strip. Framed as he has done this through the so-called Trump Plan, Netanyahu’s position is no longer one of diplomatic ambiguity or stalling, or of any military pretext. Instead, it is a stark, chilling declaration of intent: leave Gaza alive, or die. Leave or be genocided, because unless they go, he won’t stop. No longer is this about Hamas, or hostages, but then it never really has been, its all about the land grab and ridding themselves of people they see as less than human, less than worthy, occupying land the Bible says is theirs, but that no law supports. The Israeli government, under his leadership, has ceased pretending to pursue peace or negotiation with this speech, they have simply exposed what many of us already knew, revealing a genocidal campaign that seeks to ethnically cleanse Gaza of its Palestinian population in its entirety. All that has actually changed, is that no more can Israeli allies excuse their inaction now he has made his true intent more than clear.

For many, the question was whether Israel’s disproportionate and indiscriminate bombardment, starvation blockade, and forced displacement of Palestinians were components of a military campaign or a strategy of extermination. Some may have been dishonest in how they feigned confusion, others may have sought to muddy the waters and blur that line to excuse inaction, but Netanyahu has now answered that question with chilling clarity. This is not merely war. This is the planned erasure of an entire people, and Netanyahu has declared negotiations irrelevant unless this erasure is completed, putting the onus on the wider global community to either absorb the population of Gaza, or he’s going to continue his genocide until none are left, as per the Trump Plan.

The Trump Plan, which details the removal of all Palestinians from Gaza, his vision of casinos and hotels and big golden statues has now become the Israeli government’s non-negotiable condition to stop its genocide. It confirms that no political solution or ceasefire is forthcoming unless it ends with ethnic cleansing. This is not diplomacy; this is coercion under the threat of annihilation. Netanyahu’s speech functionally declared that negotiation with him is a waste of time—he will accept nothing less than the total displacement of Gaza’s residents, and the genocide will continue until that aim is fulfilled, one way or another.

This position has vindicated long-held fears among Palestinians, human rights organisations, and millions of ordinary people around the world who have warned for months that Israel’s endgame was not security, but colonial expansion through extermination. Well, all of Israel’s denial has now collapsed under the weight of Netanyahu’s own words.

The genocide in recent days has of course only accelerated, with the rollout of Operation Gideon’s Chariot’s. nearly 54,000 Palestinians have been killed since the start of the war, with over 80 more lives lost in the past 24 hours alone. It’s easy to just rattle off numbers like that isn’t it? But these are not numbers. They are families annihilated, children buried under rubble, mothers starved to death, and communities erased. In the last day alone, 26 people died from starvation. Starvation is no accident—it is the outcome of deliberate siege warfare.

Despite international assurances that aid would be allowed into Gaza, Israel continues to obstruct its flow. According to the UN, Israeli forces and settlers are actively blocking aid trucks. Settlers have physically blocked and attacked humanitarian convoys, while Israeli ministers continue to use aid as a smokescreen to pretend the siege is over, a convenience for some leaders to hide behind I have no doubt, but Netanyahu’s genocidal rhetoric is far more loaded. As Doctors Without Borders have stated, the supposed easing of the blockade is “a façade,” meant to placate international outcry while maintaining the siege in practice.

UNRWA, the main aid agency for Palestinians, reported this week that the only things entering Gaza right now are not food, medicine, or water—but bombs. The humanitarian situation has reached catastrophic proportions. Israel’s pledge to allow aid has been proven hollow, as the IDF coordinates with far-right settler groups blocking the routes into Gaza, blocking the aid trucks again, to ensure Gaza remains under complete siege.

It is no longer fringe voices but Israeli officials themselves admitting to the criminal nature of the Netanyahu governments actions. Former Israeli Defence Minister Moshe Ya’alon has stated that Israel is committing war crimes in Gaza.

‘In an interview on 103FM, Ya’alon said “What’s happening here is unprecedented. This war is now longer than the War of Independence….We’re being criticized for opposing statements that claim ‘there are no innocents in Gaza.’

He added that “when someone says things like, ‘We will launch a military campaign, wipe Gaza, expel the population and settle Jews there’, those are the statements that make Israel a war criminal…’

That’s a former Israeli defence minister attacking the official narrative of his own government. Compare that to the current defence minister who is screaming about assassinating a Houthi leader right now. Furthermore, far-right Israeli ministers and settlers have been publicly calling for the elimination of every Palestinian “from elder to infant.” Such genocidal declarations are no longer isolated extremist outbursts—they are now state policy.

The situation escalated even further when Israeli forces fired live rounds at a European diplomatic delegation in Jenin, as confirmed by video evidence that has been doing the rounds on social media. The IDF later claimed it was an error due to the diplomats entering a “restricted zone,” but this deflection fails under scrutiny. The shooting at of diplomats—representatives of foreign governments—demonstrates that Israel is operating with impunity, indifferent to international law or consequence, because quite clearly everyone is a target if you’re in the wrong place. Governments whose officials were targeted have expressed outrage, but outrage won’t stop this.

In the immediate aftermath of that Jenin shooting, two Israeli embassy staff were reportedly killed outside the US embassy in Washington. Given the suspicious timing—coinciding precisely with global condemnation of the attack on those diplomats—this incident raises serious questions. Israel has historically used false flag operations to redirect blame, rally support, or shift the narrative back to pitying them, and the possibility that this incident serves that purpose, as awful and illogical as it might feel to jump to that conclusion, cannot be dismissed outright. At the very least, it demands critical scrutiny, particularly in light of the growing global backlash against Israel’s conduct and especially given what Netanyahu has now said.

While Netanyahu pretended to open Gaza’s borders to aid, the real deal was with Bezalel Smotrich, a far-right minister and one of the most vocal proponents of ethnic cleansing of the strip, has been in love with the Trump Plan since the orange idiot passing himself off as the leader of the free world suggested it. In exchange for support on this sham aid agreement, because Smotrich holds the balance of power in Netanyahu’s coalition, Smotrich secured authorisation for 22 new illegal settlements in the West Bank. Quite a deal to go along with the pretence of letting aid in. Another land grab going on in the West Bank, a land grab wrapped in propaganda as that one is and reminding us, lest we forget, that atrocity is going on in the West Bank still as well.

The international community is finally beginning to stir as Israel’s actions and intent become more blatant, but the measures taken thus far are still far too tepid and insufficient. The UK is a prime example, long complicit in arming and supporting Israel, has suspended trade negotiations—but military and economic ties remain intact. Canada, France, and even the European Union have expressed strong concerns and are reportedly reviewing trade relationships, but this response remains a shadow of what is needed. These are ripples in a puddle when we need an earthquake and urgently.

It is increasingly clear that words are not enough. Strongly worded letters will not stop bombs. Trade reviews will not deliver food. What is needed now is decisive global action; sanctions, arms embargoes, and, most urgently, peacekeeping intervention. The ongoing Protect Palestine campaign has called for just that—an international military intervention to halt the genocide. This global initiative, led by grassroots movements and human rights organisations, represents a vital avenue for citizens worldwide to pressure their governments into action. An excerpt on this as covered by Quds News Network reads:

‘In their statement, campaign organizers said: “We’ve tried protests, boycotts, and legal accountability. None of this has stopped the killing. The ONLY way to stop the genocide in Gaza is through direct military intervention.” The campaign encourages supporters to show solidarity by writing a sign in support of military intervention, taking a photo with it, and posting it online while tagging their political representatives with #ProtectPalestine.

Organizers stress that this demand is rooted in international law and that people should not feel intimidated to speak out. “This genocide can be stopped if we overcome our own fears and rise—together—to demand urgent military intervention,” the campaign adds. As of the time of this report, nearly 26,000 people have signed the campaign’s petition.’

I’ll post the petition link in the comments.

Perhaps one of the most searing indictments of Netanyahu’s government comes from within Israel itself though. Yair Golan, a former major general in the IDF, a guy who was actually there on October 7th and a current opposition figure, has launched a blistering attack on the ruling coalition. Golan, once a vice chief of the Israeli military, stated that Netanyahu’s forces are “killing babies as a hobby.” Words that come from a man who once commanded the very army now accused of committing war crimes. His statement represents a moral reckoning within Israeli society and underscores that this genocide is not merely controversial—it is indefensible, even to those who once served in its machinery, at least amongst some of them.

Ongoing ceasefire negotiations in Doha have been described by Hamas as a “feint”—a ploy by Israel to buy time while continuing its campaign of destruction, with no intent on engaging meaningfully at all. Hamas have accused Israel of negotiating in bad faith, maintaining military aggression even as diplomatic talks supposedly continue. This duplicity is consistent with Israel’s long-standing pattern of using ceasefire talks to regroup militarily while the world lowers its guard. How many times has Netanyahu changed the remit of negotiators, collapsing ceasefire talks, over and over again after all?

The genocide in Gaza is no longer a tragedy waiting to be averted. It is an unfolding catastrophe, driven by a regime that has made its goals unmistakably clear now. Netanyahu’s ultimatum for complete ethnic cleansing as the price for ending hostilities is not just a policy—it is a war crime, a violation of international law, and a stain on the conscience of the world.

The death toll is rising not just from bombs, but from hunger, thirst, and disease. The IDF’s live fire is no longer confined to combatants or borders—it now targets diplomats. Aid remains blocked. Settlements continue to expand. And now, even internal voices from Israel are condemning the state’s actions in terms once unimaginable.

If the world allows this to continue any longer, if international leaders continue to prioritise political calculus over human rights, they will not just be complicit—they will be collaborators.

Now more than ever before, it is imperative for global citizens to pressure their governments into meaningful action. Boycotts, sanctions, and embargoes must be implemented. Aid must be airdropped if roads are blocked. War crimes must be prosecuted in international courts. Peacekeeping forces must be deployed if Israel continues to defy international law. And every day that passes without these steps taken is another day the genocide in Gaza claims more lives, now getting on for something like 100 a day One frightening stat I read today is that since October 7th 2023, 1 woman has been killed every single hour on average.

The international community must stop asking if Israel is committing genocide—it must start acting on the fact that it is. Netanyahu has stripped away all pretence. He has declared genocide not a consequence of war, but its very objective, as many of us sadly hoped we were wrong about, so the time for diplomatic pleasantries has long passed.

Netanyahu must be stopped and stopped now or the world will have let never again happen again.

Meanwhile in other news Israel has also been found to have been faking news in order to justify ongoing attacks specifically targeting hospitals in Gaza because of course they have. If there is no justification, they’ll confect one, only they’ve been caught out for it. Get all the details of that story in this video recommendation here as your suggested next watch.

Thank you Russia: for more words on Gaza

Par : amarynth

These are but words. At least something has been said on this level of the Russian diplomatic structures. Maria, the words from your permanent representatives at the United Nations are much better, much stronger and not so tentative.

I’m glad to hear you say that Russia is working Maria. But what are you working on? Words that are are more finely crafted? Words that are not so soft? What do you mean Maria – Rusia ‘does not approve’ and are ‘disappointed’.

This is a diplomatic cop-out and you know it!

Here is Maria Zakharova ….

🇮🇱Moscow does not approve of Israel’s decision to launch a large-scale ground operation in the Gaza Strip, stated Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova

“Of course, we are disappointed with this decision by the Israeli authorities, which will inevitably lead to a further increase in civilian deaths and new destruction,” she emphasized.

According to Zakharova, Moscow has repeatedly stated publicly that the only path to normalizing the situation in Gaza is through shifting the conflict’s resolution to a political and diplomatic track.

“This requires ensuring a complete ceasefire and resuming humanitarian aid to the population of the sector, which will contribute to creating conditions for relaunching the political process aimed at a just and long-term resolution of the Palestinian issue based on the established international legal framework,” the Foreign Ministry spokesperson noted.

Zakharova added that Russia is actively and consistently working toward these goals in cooperation with partners and like-minded parties, both bilaterally and on international platforms, primarily the United Nations.

Earlier, on May 20, it was reported that at least 43 people were killed overnight due to bombings and shelling of areas in the Gaza Strip by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

Dear Maria, generally we love you and support you. But this stinks.

I do not approve of your mild message and am so disappointed that you are not calling this by name. It is a genocide by definition of the only reliable world court in our world, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and non-combatants and civilians are being shot, bombed, burnt, starved, deprived, arrested and tortured a hundred plus at a time. You may choose not to use that terminology, but then use ‘criminal large-scale killing with no impunity’. You are a diplomat and you have the words. I know it is difficult for Russia as you are in the SMO yourselves. But you don’t kill civilians and you don’t rejoice in unneeded death.

Your formal statement made my mouth feel as if it is filled with bitter ashes!

Russia can do better and indeed, we expect better.

Reverend Calls Out Christian Zionists | Gaza Diaries | Rev. Dr. Munther Isaac & Dr. Omar Suleiman

Par : amarynth

After nearly two years since the escalation of the genocide, half the Christian population of Gaza has been killed or forced to flee by the Israeli regime. But despite Palestine being home to Christianity’s holiest sites, the Palestinian Christians being the oldest Christian community anywhere in the world, and very prominent Christian voices like the late Pope Francis calling for an end to the genocide, many Christians in the West continue to support Israel.

Why? Why do Christian Zionists fail to practice the teaching of “love your neighbor” in this case? What is the shared history of Muslims and Christians in the Holy Land? And how must our communities work together for justice today?

In the latest episode of Gaza Diaries, Dr. Omar Suleiman discusses these questions with Palestinian pastor Rev. Munther Isaac of the Christmas Lutheran Church in Bethlehem, Palestine.

“We have megachurches in the US and the Pastors shout “Genocide”.

Emptying Gaza: Norman Finkelstein & Chris Hedges

Par : amarynth

Is it so that we have to start accepting that nothing will now save Gaza? This is a very disturbing presentation by Norm.

Israel, both materially and rhetorically, has made their intent to destroy the Palestinian people clear. One of the most renowned and courageous Middle East scholars, Norman Finkelstein, has assiduously documented the Palestinian plight for decades and he joins host Chris Hedges on this episode of The Chris Hedges Report. Finkelstein and Hedges assess the current state of the genocide in Palestine as well as how the media and the universities have all but abandonded their principles in servitude to the Zionist agenda.

April 14, 2025: Norman Finkelstein on Gaza Genocide

Par : amarynth

American political scientist and activist Norman Finkelstein, though the son of Polish Holocaust survivors, has never been afraid to speak his mind about Israel. At a February 2025 event sponsored by CAIR Florida (the Florida chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations), Finkelstein delivered fiery comments about Israel’s in-your-face brand of genocide:

“It’s absolutely mind-numbing. One genocidal statement after another genocidal statement after another genocidal statement after another, another, another, another! So here’s the thing: Israel, if you look at what they write in their newspapers, what they post on Facebook, what they tweet, what they say on public affairs radio and TV programs, they aren’t in the least hiding the fact that they’re committing genocide. They are proud of it. They are boasting about it. They relish it…. [A]cross the board, from one end of the political spectrum to the other, and from the top to the bottom, it’s a national project to for once and for all liquidate Gaza.”

Finkelstein has paid a professional price for his methodical deconstruction of the Israeli juggernaut, which began with his late 1980s Princeton doctoral dissertation on Zionism and subsequently continued in books like The Holocaust Industry (2000), Image and Reality of the Israel-Palestine Conflict (2003), Method and Madness (2015), and Gaza (2021). Describing his academic career as having gone “up in flames,” Finkelstein wryly observed in a 2020 interview with Jed Macosko at AcademicInfluence.com that college administrators didn’t want to deal with the “Finkelstein albatross,” and he himself found it impossible to “play the academic game.”

At the Yale Political Union (YPU) in January of this year, at the close of an affirmative speech on the resolution “The state of Israel is responsible for genocide,” Finkelstein concluded, “Israel’s response is not disproportionate, I would argue it is proportionate to its goal of destroying the civilian population of Gaza.”

We salute Finkelstein’s steadfast commitment to speaking uncomfortable truths. As Catherine and John Titus have often discussed on Money & Markets, “Gaza is a method” that is coming for all of us unless we push back.

Ed Note: I am glad to see The Solari Report featuring Gaza and Norman Finkelstein as their ‘pushback’ for the week.

Human Progress

Par : AHH

“How weary am I of devils and brutes, a true human is what I long for.”

By Nora Hoppe at Al Mayadeen.

The fact that our planet in this day and age is home to a genocide – visible to all human beings on personal devices throughout the world – an ongoing abomination unhindered by any international body, by any intergovernmental organisation or even by those noble states that proclaim to be constructing a new and more just world… says a lot about our evolution as a species and potentially about the future of our civilisation.

We now stand before a bifurcation: one clear and broad path leads to destruction and ruin; the other is to lead to a new and harmonious world… but it is winding, stony, vague and enveloped in fog.

Like a frantic victim in quicksand, flailing his arms about in vain, the frenzy of a declining Empire is only accelerating its own demise. It has chosen the path leading to ruin and its own suicide… and it has many followers – especially in its diseased appendix – the Zionist entity – and the rest of the Western World. The symptoms of this necrotic drive are seen in the Forever Wars; a self-devouring economic system based on insatiable greed and wilful ignorance; the destruction of society, of the family, of rituals and traditions; and, essentially, a total contempt for all that is natural and alive… These signs arise from a state of permanent discontent and fear, which ultimately leads to self-destruction.

And now… though today’s Hegemon, the United States – built on genocide and slavery – has been waging countless wars since its inception, and Europe has been massacring and plundering the planet for over 500 years due to its endless rapacity… it is no longer just a question of geography. The core of the problem of our human civilisation today is the western mindset and the system of financialised capitalism, both of which have infected the entire world to various degrees… with only a few exceptions.

Most of the World Majority remains incapable of throwing off the yoke of the colonialist West because of corruption, dependence, societal pressures and a lack of support from states to enlighten citizens on their own past and history.

The mythification and emulation of the Western World have become so deeply ingrained in the marrow of so many over so many centuries… that a decolonisation process will take time. And little has been undertaken officially to this end. The promising BRICS+ states are focussing mainly on trade, economic growth and hi-tech innovation.

To avoid that western path to societal devastation and ruin and to clear the other path of fog, we of the Global Majority need to seek clarity in many areas… We may have to make seismic changes to our ways of thinking. We can begin by questioning our definitions of very basic terms… Such as: what is “development”, what is “growth”, “what is “prosperity”, what is “progress”? Not all growth is advantageous – as in malignant metastases. “Positive growth” today pertains chiefly to monetary matters – GDP, GNI, PPP. What is “progress”? Progress today mostly pertains to technological innovations. And certainly it is imperative that peoples are lifted out of poverty, such as China has succeeded in doing… but what is the kind of “prosperity” that Humanity would like to achieve??

Today, in this post-modern world, there is little discussion of development, growth, prosperity and progress with regard to immaterial matters…

It is not only education, the arts and cultures of the world that have fallen into stagnation, but obviously also the ethics and value systems of entire states and societies… not to mention the conscience of most of Humanity.

How else could a genocide become commonplace? How else could atrocities become a daily tolerable spectacle throughout the world? How else can two genocidal leaders meet and speak so eagerly about their “real estate plans” for their concentration camp as though they were having a normal conversation? How else could we have all become a global audience for an orchestrated famine? How else can so many European states and the EU Border Control Authority Frontex become the clients of “combat-tested” weapons (“tested” in Gaza) from Elbit Systems (“Israel”‘s largest arms company) that manufacture surveillance drones and remote-control turrets for armoured vehicles to enable European soldiers to avoid accountability and a bad conscience when targeted refugees are murdered by anonymous technicians located in remote offices? How else can European countries allow their historical incidents of genocide against the Jews to be “revised” and whitewashed by the Zionist entity for Israeli business advantages? How else could International Law be trampled upon without resistance? How else could serial mendacity and the constant breaching of constitutions and agreements become acceptable? How else could the citizens of those states, which vaunt their “freedom of expression” and “western values”, allow their states to reach the point at which they are now criminalising protesters for standing up for human rights?

Other than the people involved directly in battles for their survival (in Gaza, Syria, Lebanon and elsewhere), courageous soldiers fighting against Nazism, committed journalists risking their lives on the fronts and activists, risking their professions for protesting against the Genocide… where is the rest of the world?

Some states voice their condemnation of the ongoing genocide but take no action, because… because it’s… complicated.

And yet… we have an exception… the Ansarallah of Yemen. There is nothing complicated about their resolute move: it is simply a matter of priority.

Why would the majority of a people of one of the poorest countries (perhaps the poorest) on Earth devote most of their energy, their scarce resources and their steadfast beliefs in risking their lives in defence of another people, who are not directly related to them and are located in a distant country (an estimated 2,270 kilometres away)? What unites these people in this goal? And what might be THEIR definitions of “development”, “growth”, “prosperity” and “progress”?

A crossroads of various civilisations for at least 7000 years, Yemen’s own great civilisation has, over centuries, experienced countless invasions, fierce battles, usurping dynasties and colonial occupations by those who continually sought to plunder, conquer and control this valuable, highly developed, resource-rich and “geographically optimal” territory.

In the 1990s, after a long period of economic hardship due in part to persistent Saudi oppression and notably Yemen’s refusal to join the US-Saudi military coalition against Iraq, a Zaidi grassroots movement emerged in northern Yemen, known as Muntada al-Shabab al-Mu’min (“Believing Youth”) – which offered social programmes to the impoverished population of the region. The successful movement grew and soon transformed into the Ansarallah (“Supporters of God”) who went on to fight six wars against the Saudi– and Western-backed Saleh regime between 2004 and 2010…

Now, despite decades of deprivations, the Ansarallah remain undeterred in their goals for justice, in their fight to liberate Palestine and to improve their own country. To achieve these goals, they do not require “monetary prosperity” and a financialised state. In all their operations they show solidarity and unity amongst themselves. They cannot be intimidated. They are ready to die for their beliefs and principles.

In their filmed speeches and discussions, the demeanour of the Ansarallah is visibly marked by confidence, serenity, grace, poise, modesty… During the Third International Conference “Palestine, the Central Cause of the Nation”, they displayed kindness, generosity and hospitality in welcoming foreign guests, even toward those hailing from “hostile states”.

Single-handedly, they have disrupted global shipping power dynamics. Relying on the expertise of their own specialists, they manufacture weapons themselves… The US Pentagon’s chief weapons buyer Bill LaPlante expressed alarm over the sophistication of these weapons: “What I’ve seen of what Ansar Allah has done in the last six months is shocking.”

In his article Factors behind Yemen’s Valiant Resistance, journalist and political analyst Ayman Ahmed describes how the Ansarallah “managed to modify conventional military tactics in very unconventional ways” by adopting a guerrilla-oriented approach: moving on foot over hostile terrains in small mobile groups, with their group leaders often improvising tactics on the spot, and using little to no electronic devices… “Their use of drones in almost guerrilla-style operations highlights how the Yemenis managed to jam billion-dollar Saudi air defenses…” […] “The Saudi regime has not been able to score any major military victory despite possessing large stockpiles of weapons supplied by the world’s leading arms merchants.”

But their strongest asset of all is their motivation and determination in their pursuit of “a dignified life and standard of living for Yemeni citizens, the protection of the independence of the nation and seeking world peace and appropriate equal cooperation with the other countries of the world” – as inscribed in their “National Vision for the Modern Yemeni State“. With this, they have won the support of the masses across all segments of society.

As Rune Agerhus, political analyst and member of the International Commission for Solidarity with Yemen, wrote here: “What Ansarallah has managed to establish, while facing war, starvation, and a crippling blockade, is a system that could best be described as akin to Yugoslavian worker self-management” […] “Farmland and output are controlled by the cooperatives, which are wholly owned and administered by Yemen’s peasantry.” The defence of Yemen as a whole is being fought on two fronts – “the battlefront and the development front”.

The system adopted by the Ansarallah is the antithesis of contemporary capitalism.

(Not to forget: Yemen has already had experience with socialism when its southern territory – a separate state in 1967-1990 – eventually formed a Marxist-Leninist government following decades of rapacious British colonial rule over the region.)

In our globalised, postmodern, technology-obsessed world dominated by Western norms, technocrats and the Market and guided by an ignorance of history and a limitation in independent reasoning, the Ansarallah seem to many backward and savage at worst, quaint and exotic at best…

Different people may have different views of the Ansarallah and will judge them accordingly… but the ACTIONS taken by these people in defence of another people undergoing a genocide, especially in view of their own circumstances, speak for themselves… louder than any fine words.

On 10th April 2025, under the incessant bombings of the barbaric Hegemon, Ansarallah’s leader Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi made another urgent appeal to the world… to come to the aid of the Palestinian people and to become conscious of our ethical responsibility as part of a collective humanity. Who is listening? Where is the “world community”?

After so many millennia of human civilisation, what is the “progress” we are making as a species in our modern-day age?

The number of testimonies from the massacres in Syria—carried out by Erdogan’s terrorists—and from Gaza is so overwhelming that it’s impossible to post them all. And yet, skipping them or ignoring them feels like a betrayal. It’s not just hard—it’s heartbreaking. There’s a deep, suffocating pain that comes with reading each account. It brings emotional breakdown, grief, and rage. After 19 months, it’s truly heartbreaking. It feels like it should have been enough by now—enough pain, enough loss, enough horror to demand control, to end it. But it hasn’t stopped. And watching it continue, helplessly, tears you apart from the inside.
